My husband and I decided to order from here since we were out of town, we noticed Leonardo's pizza had a 4.9 rating . We ordered 12 piece super hot wings, Anthony's burger with French fries,Chili cheeseburger with onion rings and a Pepsi. Guess what the best part of the meal was? THE PEPSI! The burgers were so dry and not seasoned at all! All I taste when I took a bite was burnt grill flavor, the bread was over toasted. When we eat burgers we want the juice dripping down our arms. Not even close. The fries didn't have any salt and were soggy like they fried them in cold oil. Don't get me started on the wings, they had me by the name EXTRA spicy, they were NOT spicy at ALL! I mean if you're broadcasting spicy wings they should make my nose run or something. No they tasted like Buffalo wings with franks red hot sauce. Had the tortellini alfredo delivered to work. My only request was no black pepper. When I opened the bag it was loaded with black pepper, but I was hungry and I will always try food before dismissing it. Plus, it was an online order so you never know if they just missed the little note. Ok, this dish was SO GOOD. Great pizza and sub place. We got just a plain medium pizza and a chicken Parm sub. My wife had the pizza. She said it was fantastic. From the bite I had, I agree. Very good sauce and dough. My chicken Parm was perfect. Nice and crispy while being juicy. Sub roll was nice and toasted as well. The girl at the counter was super friendly and helpful. The restroom is in the very back, so you have to walk through the prep area, kitchen and storage area. So I could see first hand how clean and how fresh everything is. read more

They offer wood fired pizzas of all kinds of variety. You can get a whole pie or by the slice with actually very good deals. They do 2 cheese slices and soda for $5. HORRIBLE FOOD HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - Ordered a margherita pizza and chicken marsala. The pizza was so undercooked it was basically raw and completely inedible and the chicken was dry and rubbery with no flavor- other than salt. We were so, so hungry after a long day of work and couldn't eat any of it. I am a restaurant manager and contact Postmates on behalf of customers all the time for various reasons- I know it is possible to have an order refunded for a client. When I called, the owner was unapologetic and lied, saying he just "gets a check" from Postmates and has no way of contacting them. It is awfully wrong to pay for something so wrong, so improperly done. Horrible food, horrible experience, will not ever be ordering from or recommending Leonardo's. read more

Coming from NYC to CT, this is honestly the first pizza place I can recommend. Great ny style pie- tasted like home. Will definitely continue to order. We came to town to visit my daughter was in the mood for great egg plant Parmesan found this place near us and we ordered food they were able to have it ready in less than 15 minutes you could tell that it was all homemade fresh one of the best eggplant Parmesan that I've ever had and we order manicotti and pasta fajoul soup really good quality I tried the pizza and I think it is as good or better than some of pizza I've been in New York City I will definitely order from here again read more

I tried to call in to order food for delivery. I told them what I wanted and asked for a price of everything before I confirmed the order and whoever was handling their calls would not give me an exact price. They told me "umm like around $80" so then I tried to ask for the exact amount which they then said they gave me, even though they didn't, so then I said hold on while I just check the menu to calculate on my own how much my meal is. they then gave me and attitude about how they told me the price and it's around $80, which again is not an exact price. This experience was unprofessional and odd, as I worked in 4 different pizza restaurants with multiple positions as a cashier, delivery driver, server, and bartender, and from my experience, I can not understand why an employee would not be able to calculate a price and give it to a customer. Seems like whoever takes their orders just has lazy/bad service and didn't want to waste a minute of their time to put my order in the p.o.s. System so I would know what my price was before hand and be able to split the bill with my party and have cash ready with an appropriate tip for the delivery driver. It was Bad and rude service on the phone so unfortunately I cancelled my order and will be taking my money elsewhere. read more

If you are thinking of ordering from here just don't, Classica is one minute away and far better trust me. The taste of the pizza itself is ok enough, but if you order from Leonardo's you'll want to have a spoon handy to deal with the pizza soup they will be serving you. Even when ordering WELL DONE you go to pick up a slice and it melts away leaving you with nothing put the crust in your hands and a wet soggy mess of raw dough and undercooked cheese in the box. We were looking for that NYC pizza taste, and we found it here! The regular crust--not the thin-- was the best, and the heavy-ish cheese was an improvement over most Manhattan/ Brooklyn pies, I think. The broccoli rabe wasn't too stringy (just right with lots of garlic), and the pasta faz. soup was very tasty, if not a bit thin for me. We have been getting pizza on average about once a week from Pinocchio's in New Canaan for over 10 years, but tried Leonardo's today (which is much closer to our home) and will now definitely switch alliances. No disrespect to Pinocchio's intended, but we simply like Leonardo's better, as it is more like the NYC pizza I enjoyed when I used to work in the City pre-Covid. Wings and salad are great as well, and over time we will try more of their extensive Italian menu. I encourage you to give it a try and maybe you'll change your mind as well! read more

Placed an order at 7:07 tonight and it is now 8:21 and still no delivery person. I call twice to be told hed be here in a few minutes. The thing is i only live one block away from this place i do not understand how it takes almost an hour and a half to make a sandwich and cheesey bread. I could have walked there and back ate and still have time left over. Just called and told them to cancel my order. No im sorry nothing. Ive been a loyal customer since they opened and i will never go back again. i wandered into the place last year. i had a mailer coupon and decided to check out this 'new' establishment. Got a few pies for a family gathering. While waiting for them, I got into conversation with the guys and mentioned the advertising did not mention the brick oven. I was pleasantly surprised as the last chain in this location was so very bad. They told me the printer had made many mistakes. I also learned they used top quality tomatoes and made their own mozzarella! i definitely enjoyed their offerings and I have been back a couple times since. We found this gem through a co-worker who swore by it-and he wasn't wrong at all! Such great food every time & it's obvious they make their own dough & sauce. I'm not a vegetarian, I love meat, but I get the veggie pizza every time-probably 2 servings of veggies on one slice!
