Delivery instructions

The pizza was good, albeit over priced, even by Burlington standards. I opted for delivery, with specific instructions to deliver to the hotel room. After a long day I was already ready to lounge and relax, not dressed to retrieve pizza in the lobby. The lazy delivery driver, Liam C. unfortunately couldn't be bothered to follow instructions.

Overall I would say I liked this place and it is good - however with ordered a cheeseburger pizza, the meat that topped it somehow came with a bone in it. So I guess one takeaway could be that they use real meat in their toppings, but another takeaway would be they could have led someone to lose or chip a tooth- let alone choke to death. I ordered it with thick crust but with getting a medium I would say 1/3 of the outer ring of this was a risen crust area - so toppings all slid to the middle and made the pieces even more uneven with toppings and weight. Would try again with just standard pepperoni pie.

I was visiting for work and asked around for good pizza. Leonardo's was not recommended, but due to the location, I stopped in. They have vegan options so that factored into my decision as well. I opted for a build-your-own. I don't eat out much and definitely not pizza as it's hard to find dairy-free cheese. This pizza was delicious. With tax and tip, though, I spent over $30 for a small pizza. Luckily, I was on an expense ticket, so I didn't care. Would I go back if I were paying my own way? Probably!

Pizza was delivered looking like this

really enjoyed their pizza until one delivery showed up looking like it had been dropped. disappointing after how much money I've spent with them recently (our kitchen is being renovated), but I'm not paying $30 for a manhandled pizza.

Ordered online for delivery. Was a little annoyed that the email said it will take 2 hours. However the pizza came in about an hour. So I was happy. The pizza was delicious. I can see why the few people I talked to love this place.

I love this place and I love dogs too, but today I went in and there was a dog curled up in the window... unsanitary guys.

We shared the grilled artichoke and were really surprised at how generous the portion was and how affordable the price was. Service was fine. Nothing noteworthy. Didn't get checked on very often, but maybe that's their style? Either way, really good experience. Would recommend and would go back.

It was good tho, nice garlic taste and covered with cheese. We also started with the Caesar salad which was really good. There were 5 of us and we split 2. Lots of cheese, the croutons tasted homemade, and the dressing was tasty. For my entree I got the vodka pasta and added chicken. I honestly was disappointed in the vodka sauce, it didn't have much flavor. I also thought the portion was small, if I didn't add the chicken I still would've been hungry after finishing. Although, the crispy chicken I did add was delicious. I'm glad we finally tried it here, but not sure I'll be back.

It didn't take long to identify the state's core competencies: Producing world-class cheese Perfecting brick oven pizza Aggressively curating a very specific political vibe Curiously, only two of those things are edible, and unfortunately, you can't get pizza without being reminded of the third. Also worth noting: I'm not convinced any other style of pizza exists in Vermont. If it's not artisanal, wood-fired, and served on a reclaimed barn board, it apparently doesn't make the cut. So naturally, my brain locked in and I ate pizza two nights in a row like a creature of habit. Night 1: Pizzeria Verità Parking was...aspirationally convenient. After navigating downtown Burlington, which feels like a live-action sociology thesis, I made it inside. Let's address the elephant in the room: the price. With tip, I dropped nearly $30 for what amounted to a personal-sized pepperoni pizza that politely declined to fill me up. I assume part of the cost goes toward sourcing ethically massaged tomatoes or ensuring the mozzarella had a fulfilling upbringing. Now, to be fair, the pizza was excellent. Truly. Great crust, quality ingredients, clearly crafted by someone who cares deeply about their art. But the value? That's where things get a little...Vermont. Delicious? Absolutely. Filling? Not quite. Financially efficient? Only if you measure wealth in vibes. I went in skeptical, left impressed, and still had to consider a second dinner.

The ambience was nothing to talk bout, but it was a snowy Tuesday night so you can't expect much. A bit dark and cold, like a Nonna's basement. Service was great: prompt, polite and attentive. The food was the problem. Caesar salad was great, no complaints there. My wife got a Pinot Grigio that was meh, but at $9 a glass, it was expected. I ordered a Pappardelle bolognese, and it was a disaster. The noodles were good, the bolognese was murder; too much of it, so much it was dry, it was quite frankly off-putting, looked like dog food. I tried eating it so I picked at only the noodles but I just couldn't, it didn't taste right. I should've taken a picture, I just didn't want to be rude, and I don't send food back. My wife got a Mushroom Risotto and it was plain and a bit 'al dente. I ended up eating that with her and even so we ate about half the portion. Portions however were huge! If other dishes are better presented and/or better tasting, you are getting more than your money's worth, alas, it was not so for the dishes we picked.

The appetizers were underwhelming; how can you screw up a Caesar salad? The main courses disappointed in many ways. The dishes were serverd luke warm. I told my husband that there was a review saying there was some rude people that work here and we absolutely disagree with that reviewer. We walked in and were immediately asked if we were picking up an order or staying to eat. The young lady told us to choose a table because they weren't very busy at the time and only 2 other couples were there. There were a few young men behind the counter making orders up for people ordering take out and they seemed like they really enjoyed working there. They were laughing and smiling the entire time we were there. It made the place feel very homey. My husband ordered a 12 inch cheese pizza in hopes that it would live up to his love of a good New York City pizza. He grew up there. Papa Frank knows how to make a pizza!! My husband found his new pizza place and we will be always ordering pizza from here. He absolutely loved it and even said it's the best pizza in Vermont. We've had pizza from absolutely everywhere. As for myself I ordered the eggplant parmigiana. It was fantastic and came with just the right amount of pasta and sauce on the side. The eggplant was very good and my only complaint, which isn't really a complaint because, it's just the way I prefer my eggplant, sliced a little bit thicker. Regardless it tasted so delicious and I didn't leave any on the plate. I even ordered a keylime pie to take home and boy do I want more of that! Key lime is my absolute favorite but I am soooo picky with it. No need to worry here because it's some of the best I've ever had! Next time Im definitely ordering some cannoli's. Our waitress was amazing and not to bothersome as some can be. As we were walking out the door one of the young men behind the counter told us to have a great rest of our day. My husband said oh no that was so rude. (Jokingly) Papa Frank you've got yourself some loyal repeat customers now. We will definitely be coming back!! Thanks for an awesome meal!

As a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur, I recently found myself in Burlington for a work trip and…read moredecided to conduct what I can only describe as a two-night pizza field study. Vermont, as best I can tell, excels at three things. Producing elite-level cheese, perfecting brick oven pizza, and fully committing to a very particular political personality. Two of those things directly benefit me, so I leaned in. One immediate observation. If you are looking for anything other than wood-fired, artisanal pizza, you may want to adjust expectations. That appears to be the law of the land. Naturally, I adapted by eating pizza two nights in a row. Night 2: Folino's Pizza The next night I pivoted and ended up at Folino's, which turned out to be the value correction I needed. I ordered the MK pizza, which comes topped with caramelized onions and impressively large pepperoni slices that do not believe in subtlety. The difference was immediate. I paid less than the night before and received a pizza that was easily twice the size. This one actually acknowledged that I had not eaten since breakfast. The caramelized onions added a great balance of sweetness, the pepperoni brought both flavor and coverage, and the overall product hit that ideal intersection of quality and quantity. This pizza was not just good, it was filling. I left satisfied and with leftovers, which later doubled as an elite cold hotel breakfast. That alone puts it in a different category. The atmosphere at Folino's was laid-back, clean, and refreshingly unpretentious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I showed up earlier than I had said I would, fully expecting to be told to wait, but they immediately jumped into making my order without hesitation. The location has a slightly rough-around-the-edges feel, but that seems consistent with parts of Burlington. It adds a little unpredictability to the experience, which at this point felt on brand.
