I had looked at several other storage facilities in the area when I was selling my house and moving into an apartment and needed to store some of my stuff. 10x Self Storage beat all of the rest that I looked at. The manager that I first met with was excellent and and explained the whole process to me who hadn't rented a unit previously. The facility is easily accessible and conveniently situated with lots of parking. It is climate controlled and the inside access is great as opposed to other facilities which only had access from the outdoors and were not climate controlled. The building is kept very clean which I appreciated.

Previously, I was at a competitor. I had a small 5x10 unit, outdoor access, not climate controlled, and part-time attendant. I went there because it was close, and they had a "first month free" offer. I never actually got that free month, and they raised my rates twice in a six month period by a large amount. At first, it was $85/month, then two months in it was raised to $133/mo; then I got a notice in November that it would be raised to $180/mo right before Christmas. I decided it was time to move out and find some place better. I got a unit at 10x Self Storage on Pullman Street. The unit was 10x10 (actually a little bigger), indoor, and climate controlled. At $175/mo, it was a tad cheaper than my previous unit with way more benefits. They offered 50% off for the first three months, and actually stuck by the offer (unlike the previous place that never gave me the promised free month). I used the 10x10 for a year, then downsized to a smaller 5x5 unit at $59/mo before moving out (I no longer needed extra storage). I really appreciate a company that doesn't bait-and-switch, and that doesn't get you into a unit only to jack your rates up. I found 10x to be an honest business, top quality, and a pleasure to do business with. I recommend them, and would also use their facilities again.

That money was unfortunately my bus fare to my Mom for Thanksgiving, my Dad just passed a few weeks ago. This is horrible, and not sure what now to do. For that experience, it is hard to blame cubesmart, or my CC company, I am not happy about that.

Awful service for a hitch installation. I made an appointment online with over a two week lead…read moretime but prepaid up front. I called the morning of the installation to confirm my reservation. I waited 25 minutes on the phone and the customer service agent could only leave a request on my reservation for the installer to phone me, they didn't. I received no indication there was a problem with the reservation. When I showed for the hitch installation, they didn't have the hitch in stock. They could have provided a heads-up before I showed but did not. They then said they would locate another hitch, possibly at a partner location in Springfield, and call me to reschedule. They never called. I again phoned the facility and my phone wait 20 minutes before speaking with another customer service agent. I cancelled the reservation. I ordered the hitch this morning from etrailer.com and it already switched. I phoned Midas and they would gladly install the hitch for me. Do yourself a favor and use a hitch installation option OTHER than U-Haul.

I recently used closetbox to help move my son out of his dorm. Being across the country I was…read moreworried about getting his stuff packed and into storage. I was recommended to closet box by a friend and am so glad we used them. When I called to make a reservation they were very helpful in suggesting the size of storage unit based on what we were storing , and explained that if it didn't fit, we could always go to the next larger unit. They were also helpful in referring us to a place where we could order boxes. As I mentioned I am in California and my son is in Boston so it could have been difficult to coordinate. They were also very helpful in scheduling a pick up time as my son's school had a deadline of 12 noon to be out of the room. The actual pick up day went off without a hitch. They called that morning when they were there, and quickly and efficiently got all of the items moved out of the dorm. The best part was not having to do any of the lifting. We will have our things delivered in June, and again, the best part is that they will deliver right to the apt. All in all it was a great experience!

The movers made contact when they were en route to my location, and showed up on time. All three of the movers introduced themselves, and post my tour of what they needed to move, they went to work. Our move was sizeable 3bd apt in a house to a 2bd smaller townhouse. They disassembled, reassembled, and arranged furniture in the most effective configuration. They were real people who truly cared about the job they did. They also understood how stressful moving is. My move took 6 hours and they were moving the entire time. Nothing broken and they were a super effective team. (hopefully no time soon...the process of moving bites) If I ever need movers again Mozart Movers are going to be my choice.
