Wanted a quick bite before exploring the city for the afternoon and ended up at Lenwich because I'm a sucker for a chicken caesar wrap. We ordered at the kiosk, though it looked like you could also do so at the counter, and our food was ready in just a few minutes! The chicken caesar wrap was stuffed, I was thoroughly impressed because I can never fill mine at home up that much. There was good mix of everything in it, lettuce, chicken, dressing, and chopped up croutons. I've been to this location multiple times, and the inconsistency is unbelievable. Sometimes when I ordered a wrap, the chicken was properly chopped. Other times, they laid the chicken flat in slabs like it was a sandwich, wrapped it in a tortilla, and called it a "wrap." For the record: a wrap is not a sandwich with a tortilla instead of bread. A wrap should be chopped, mixed, and rolled like a burrito round, cohesive, and evenly distributed. This visit was the final straw. I ordered a wrap and clearly asked for it to be chopped. I noticed it wasn't written on the receipt, so I repeated it. I was told it would be communicated verbally. When I picked it up, the wrap wasn't even round it was an oval, stretched-out sandwich shape. I opened it and, surprise: the chicken was laid flat in slabs. When I pointed it out, the manager said, "I chopped the lettuce really thin." That's when I realized we were not speaking the same language. I never asked for chopped romaine romaine already comes chopped. I asked for the entire wrap to be chopped. One of the staff members even claimed I only asked for the romaine chopped, which is absurd and frankly insulting. The staff seemed genuinely shocked that wraps aren't supposed to look like sandwiches. At that point, they refunded me, which I accepted, and I left. I will never return. This is clearly a sandwich place that doesn't understand how to make a wrap. If you care about how your food is constructed or about being listened to go elsewhere. read more

The lenwich sandwich is served hot. When we opened up the sandwich, it was steaming hot. The sandwiches come in a roll (13.99) or a hero (15.99). We got the hero to share between 3 people. My favorite out of the 2 sandwiches is the lLenwich. They packed the sandwich with ingredients. I also bought the mini Strawberry bon bolone. The strawberry mousse was delicious. Mr. Kim the manager on duty kicked my two children out of Lenwich and on to the streets of NYC as my sister and I were ordering our sandwiches. My two children are minors and I asked them to sit at a table while we ordered. My children were enjoying their smoothies purchased from an outside establishment and acknowledged their mistake (eating a smoothie from a different establishment) to Mr. Kim and asked if they could stand inline with their mom and Mr. Kim said absolutely not and kicked them out the door. I've been wanting to try Lenwich for awhile, and I know it's not the typical New York deli experience but I was excited regardless. I ordered up front and it seemed like everything was to go. They finished preparing my meal within 5 minutes which was very nice and efficient. I ordered the Lenwich and it was delicious! I absolutely loved the two meats that they put inside and the thousand island dressing went surprisingly well with them both. Also, it didn't feel super overwhelming and meaty because of the amount of coleslaw that they had inside. Honestly, I could've just only eaten half of it and felt full. If ur not blind w/a seeing eye dog or an anxiety/seizure dog then NO other dogs should be inside a restaurant. What happened to tying dog outside? NYC has gone to the dogs & homeless literally. People have allergies but NO animal w/ feathers or fur (hair) should ever be Inside a restaurant with open containers like lettuce / food. However, a BIRD saids a lot about the Manager: Anna who didn't notice b4 a customer brought it to her attention means this is normal at this location. Lenwich 302 Columbus Avenue is in my old neighborhood where I lived on West 74th Street. When I was nearby today I continued to spend the gift card my daughter gave me.
