This happened TWICE! Im comvinced this business makes its money through fraudulent cancellation charge. First time I attived as scheduled and they TRIED to charge me $50 for not showing up for an appointment A YEAR EARLIER.. it was only because the doctor blurted out that he remembered me that they corrected it. The SECOND time Id had an accident and couldnt walk THAT SAME DA Iand called to ask if they had a wheel chair that I tried to reschedule and they told me I'd be charged $50 dollars because I didnt cancel within 24 hours! Since the appointment was not actually attended, this review is 100% about the office staff. They have to be the rudest, most incompetent office staff I have ever seen. They overcharged for a copay. When I asked them to check on it because they charged a higher co-pay than what is stated on our card, the incompetent admin (I believe she said her name was "caterina") refused to check into it. She said "well we can refund him and not see him". When I asked to speak with the office manager she stated she wasn't there, didn't know when she would be back, and no one else knew either. This office needs to fire every single person who is patient facing and try again. I can only recommend to not even try booking, just bypass this office and find another ophthalmologist. read more

Had my 1st appointment today office appears clean & organized.. 8:30 appointment and was finally brought back at 9:10, seen Dr and moving forward with cataract surgery left eye for now. Office felt very chaotic, noisy.. older client yelling about cost, not very private, doors left open during exam and scheduling my surgery . Not very friendly until I got with surgery scheduler. She was very friendly. I feel they really over book, it was like an assembly line. As long as my surgery goes well I will deal with the rest. Will update review after October read more

The doctor, maybe great... but one of the receptionist is on an authority high horse. She didn't listen to what I was calling about, made an appointment that was pointless. Showed up to the appointment and had to rehash it all over. And then got charged for the appointment. An appointment where the doctor was never seen. Waste of time smh read more

Dr Lenser is excellent. He is extremely busy and moves constantly from one patient to the next, while being very thorough and attentive when it is your turn. He is a gift to the community, doing his best and remaining positive while serving as many people as possible so that we all can see better. I am shocked hearing some people imaging conclusions about what really happens, e.g.,"He's busy to make more money", as if they have an inside tract on reality that was some how mysteriously accessed? I think we are fortunate that he's willing to work this hard and the office prioritizes fitting us all in, or it'd be a long time before being able to get another appointment. read more

This office staff seems more concerned about payment than patient care and professional services. I I felt like this was a surgery mill and not a caring environment. Dr lenser seems rushed from patient to patient. My cataract surgeries did not seem to improve my vision significantly. read more

The office staff has treated me very well. It's a very busy office and my wait wasn't at all a long one. It's always clean and comfortable. Dr. Lenser takes his time to enplane the procedure and after he once again enplanes the details of what was done and why that procedure was done a certain way, I'm so glad I chose him. Dr. Lenser and his staff are professional, kind and intelligent. Dr. Lenser puts me at ease by explaining the procedure and what I could expect. He explained the medication I could use if needed. He made access to the eye drops easy when I needed the prescription. He is a gentlemen and always polite. His staff are respectful and responsive. The staff handles insurance and administration of insurance an easy task. They prepared me for surgery and kept me at ease during the procedure. I am bilingual. I believe all his staff are bilingual English/Spanish. Peaceful and well-organized procedure with immediate follow up appointments. read more

The care may be great, but the office staff is rather incompetent. Before a patient arrives, the benefits should be verified, and authorizations obtain. Such is not the case for this staff. I HIGHLY recommend you know what your insurance pays and what you may be responsible for. I was asked if my deductible had been satisfied when I said I highly doubt it. The lady helping me said she was going to call to verify. By the time I returned to the counter within minutes, she told me she couldn't reach Blue Cross to verify, grabbed a list of insurance with dollar amounts, and told me I was to pay x amount up front. Ummmm you mean to tell me the office that just referred me could pull my benefits off the internet but you chose to try to charge me 100% for a visit my insurance covered with a $20 copy, ZERO coinsurance, and ZERO deductible, just an authorization needed. I've worked in healthcare for 20 years, and balance billing is illegal. Train the staff better. Also, do you pay the patients back 100% after the insurance companies are billed and pay the contracted approved rate? The last place that tried this was quest, who told me my insurance wouldn't cover a full panel test. I said bill Blue Cross and bill me later, I was only responsible for $5. Learn the language of your coverage because it seems a lot of places are taking advantage of the fact that people don't understand the insurance side. You are your best advocate! read more

I read all the reviews and I whole heartedly agree some of the staff are so dismissive of anyone's issues I'm a 66 year old single disabled retired female on a fixed income I in someway missed my appointment which I never do it was a miss communication, this one staff member was so rude they have a $50 missed appointment charge which I can not afford but if I still wanted my scheduled cataract surgery I had to pay it they had me over a barrel this is a charge that should be evaluated per patient if I didn't need the surgery I would of canceled and found a new Doctor I do not recommend this office to anyone they are un caring!!! read more

I think Dr Lenser is one of the best which is why I've tolerated his office staff until today. When I entered the office I was told to have a seat and they would call me up. I was promptly forgotten. There was an issue with my new insurance, I'm now on Medicare and did not receive my medical insurance card. I've been a patient of Dr Lenser for years and instead of working with me the sent me away with the reminder that I have to pay for this missed visit! They treat their patients like they are dead beats that don't pay their bills when they should be treating their patients with respect and kindness! I was to have my eyes "dialated" (their spelling not mine) because I'm blind in one eye and my good eye has a cataract. I need a good ophthalmologist so will be searching for a good one with kind, caring office staff. read more

Dr. Lenser is an extremely busy person. I had to wait several minutes for my 1st appointment, but all other appointments I was seen promptly. In order to correct astigmatism I paid for toric lenses. This surgeon uses a highly skilled staff for the surgery. He uses drugs to relax you & some doctors don't. At first it seemed like one eye was better, but after 2 months, they are both fine. I saw my regular eye doc today & my vision is perfect. read more

Dr. Lenser is the nicest guy however, I had a 2:00 appointment and I didn't get to see him until 3:25. He had alot of people in his waiting room. It took almost an hour to get called back to the low lights room where 4 people were waiting, then another 30 minutes before I was put in the exam room. He finally came in and said he would put drops in my eyes. I didn't get out of there till after 4:00. He runs around back and forth like a caged animal in his office looking busy. It was Very inconsiderate of MY time. Then my next appointment was at 1:00. The office was dark until 1:04 pm. and a shorter appointment this time. read more

We showed up 15 minutes early and didn't get seen until 30 minutes after the appt time. Seemed to be a reoccurring theme since everyone else around us were pretty irritated with how long it was taking. He definitely crams as many people as he can to make the money. Also, I was so incredibly shocked by how rude and disinterested the entire front staff was. Wow. How is this guy still in business? Dr. Lenser and his office staff do not have any customer service skills. Terrible service, all are mean and snappy when talking to patients, doctor is also short and rushing the visit. My father had an appointment first thing in the morning, and by the time we were seen, it was 45 mins after the scheduled time. Granted, it was the very first appointment of the day, in the mean time, all rooms are getting filled by patients, and at least 5-7 more patients waiting in the dark room (how the office staff call it). He did a great job with the procedure needed, but cramming 15 patients from 8-8:45 for the sake of profit takes away the care each patient deserves. read more

Dr. Lenser is a very caring doctor. He is very busy but when he is with you he is very attentive. He was able to find things that needed to be corrected in my eyes that had not been found by other eye doctors. I am very pleased with his eye care and recommed him to annyone who neded an opthemoligist. Including my family. read more

As stated in other reviews, Dr Lenser is very busy. He is busy because he is good at his job. Waiting for your appointment, even if you have to wait longer than you like, is time well spent. Not enough parking!! Dr. Lenser will have your vehicle towed. He doesn't care.. I went into Restore for no longer than 15 minutes and came out to a tow truck loading my Yukon onto his truck. My daughter was so frightened and didn't understand what was going on. She wouldn't stop crying in the parking lot. The truck driver said the dentist office called him out to tow my truck, obviously he's not that busy, he is sitting and watching the parking lot. When I pulled into the parking lot there was not a parking spot big enough for my vehicle. I circled around and found one in the back. What's very disturbing is we are patients of Dr. Mrs. Lenser (pediatric office), that's on the same side he is on. I didn't read the parking sign that he said is posted all over the parking lot, since I was only going in to pick up a brace and leave (15 mins). I could see if I was parking my truck overnight, then he would a valid reason to call a tow truck. My daughter is so worried about the truck now... I had to pay $110.00 to the tow driver to drop my truck. It's sad that I had to pay 110.00 for a 15-minute parking. I hope Dr. Brian Lenser is proud of himself for taking food from my table to pay for my truck not to be towed. read more

Dr. Lenser is an uncaring person who is more concerned about cramming patients through his office than their actual health and well being. He doesn't care about patient safety and will force a patient to drive despite not being able to safely do so. Avoid this office at all costs if your safety, health, or well being are important to you. read more
