When asked for the reason, the person on the call tried to give me a diagnosis ( or lack there of) which one would get after being seen. I had a very negative experience with valley optometric. They advertised contacts online at a…read moresignificant discount to me. I purchased these contacts and picked them up upon delivery. The next day I received a call and was told it was a mistake on their part and I needed to give the contacts back. I was disappointed and felt it was not my fault that this mistake happened so I went in to speak to the manager Lillian. She explained it was one of her employee's mistake and was asking for me to give the contacts back. I asked them to please, if I give the contacts back to hang on to them for me so I can purchase them directly from you due to the inconvenience of this mix-up. At this point she threatened to kick me out of the practice if I did not give back the contacts. I told them I had a receipt and proof of the discount offer and had no obligation to give them back but as a courtesy I would give them back to them if they would accommodate me by hanging on to them and selling them to me at the price that was correct not the erroneous one caused by their employees mistake. Lillian angrily said she would see what she could do and proceeded to get me kicked out of the practice because I would not respond to her threats so she carried through on her threat to kick me out of the practice. I was given false advertisement and tricked into this problem by their mistake. When I asked for an accommodation and agreed to pay the amount they wanted that was not enough for them. I would not recommend them to anyone. They have signs all over saying that they will adjust your glasses at your own risk. This means if they break your glasses in attempting to adjust them you are financially responsible. Apparently though if they make a mistake and they are responsible for something they will put all the blame on the customer Make threats and carry through on these threats if they don't get exactly what they want.

I have an eye condition that needed to be seen on an emergency basis, the morning before a three day weekend. I live in the Sierra foothills, but happened to be in Modesto. After several hours and calls to three different practices (including Sutter where my primary doctor is located), I found Advanced Retina Institute. The receptionist immediately understood and validated my medical concern. She was able to get me an appointment to be seen by Dr Chandron in 20 minutes. When I arrived the reception team and technicians were all incredibly kind. With a very busy office, they moved me through the steps toward seeing the doctor with amazing efficiency. Dr Chandron listened to my concern, gave me a thorough exam and talked with me about a plan to address my eye emergency over the weekend. We scheduled a convenient follow up based on my tight schedule the following week. They were incredibly flexible with appointment times. My follow up appointment was equally impressive. I love Dr Chandron's positive, kind, considerate, and proactive approach to eye healthcare. This practice is outstanding! I've decided to move my eye care to Dr Chandron, even though Advanced Retina Institute is an hour and thirty minutes from home.
