I originally was turned away from another local eye clinic when trying to get an appointment via their triage line, and then in desperation, walking in, both receptionists there were brusk and borderline rude, making it seem as if it was a favor to get me scheduled for later that week. My issue was much more time-sensitive; I had lacerated my cornea. I ended up going to Providence Urgent Care in Spokane Valley, and they were also exceptional. They got me taken care of to the best of their expertise, then ended up getting me an appointment later that morning at Blink. The physician I saw at Urgent Care told me how great everyone at Blink Eyecare is; he shared that it is where he and his family go. Everyone from the receptionist to the optometrist whom I saw was kind, caring, professional, efficient, and made a less-than-ideal situation much better. They took care of me quickly and explained everything clearly as they addressed my needs. They assessed my injury, cleaned my eye, and were able to provide a contact lens band-aid with medicine to help heal my cornea. The optometrist communicated with me throughout the entire visit, and the receptionists scheduled me for a follow-up appointment 48 hours later. Once again, everyone was fantastic at the follow-up visit, and I can tell from all interactions that Blink Eyecare is a terrific business and service within our community.

This was my second visit to Blink and I came to see Dr Anderson with some serious eye issues. Pain…read morein my eyes and blurred vision. My PCP had sent me to an in house eye doc and I just hadn't felt good about the care I received. Didn't trust the quick exam. Dr Anderson always explains what she is doing and answers every question. She double checks her work so you know it's the right prescription. I felt so much better leaving that appointment with a new script, a reason for my eye issues that made sense and the feeling that I had been cared for by a doctor that was really concerned for my eyes. My family has been seeing Dr Anderson for years, and now I know I will never go anywhere else! Phase 2 of the eye appointment at Blink is choosing new glasses. This year I tried on everything. I had the most wonderful personal shopping associate: Jaslynn. She gathered glasses from all around the room and I tried on almost all of them. It was so much fun! Sometimes we would get extra options from other associates (hi Sarah ) which really helped narrow it down. Honestly, shopping for glasses here is a joy. So many to choose from, every color, shape, style you can imagine. And if you think after 50 you cannot wear sparkles - Jaslynn says no, you can wear anything! Let's all trust her for this great advice. Looking forward to seeing you all again next year! Go to Blink everyone - the best place in town to buy glasses, the best doctor to care for your eyes.

I'd been told "come in if you have any issues!" So I did, but was not told that this would be considered a new visit - and it was charged to my insurance company and incurred an additional $50 copay that I was never informed about until I got the invoice in the mail. It would seem like if you have a strong reaction to something that happened during their treatment, you would be seen without it incurring another charge. OR at least you would be informed of such. The glasses that my husband and I ordered from them scratched easily despite paying extra for scratch protection - and I only ever used the cloth given to me. After shopping around we realized we could have saved hundreds going elsewhere. Also keep in mind that one of their employees is "hands on" - that is will touch your shoulder, arm or get into your personal space. While I'm generally really easy going, it happened often enough and bothered me enough to have to ask to have someone else help me - the request was granted, but the nurse I spoke to acted like I was being unreasonable for making the request, and i had to continue to make the request every time I came in - apparently it was not noted in my file. I hate giving negative reviews, but thought it might help others to share my experience. I will be taking my business elsewhere and encourage others to do so as well.

Those places all declined to provide a sample pair unless I had an exam, even though I explained I had my current prescription. When I called Northside, Megan answered the phone. She was fabulous! She asked me what my prescription was, found that they had samples, and provided them to me after purchasing a box of contacts, exactly what I needed! When I arrived at the store, a receptionist warmly greeted me and explained that Megan would be right with me. I sat in their lovely waiting room for a minute before Megan got me my samples and ordered me a six-month supply, all for tremendously cheaper than I had paid for that same box at other stores in the past! Megan solved a major problem for me in minutes and with great kindness and respect. The customer service at Northside Vision Center is truly fabulous, and they've made a lifelong customer out of me!

She explained each procedure as well as what the tests were for. I that love GVS has the option to use an optos machine (around $42 sliding scale) that takes a picture of the back of your eye to check your eye health if you don't want to get your eyes dilated. I hate having weird vision for 2-3 hours so I opted to pay for the optos imaging which took less than a minute! They also have a different machine to check eye pressure that isn't the puff of air :) O.D. Glennie was super kind during my eye exam and also answered all the questions and concerns I had. I chose to do a contact lenses consultation which cost me $70 ($60 once you become a recurring patient) they also have potential rebates for contact lenses. All in all I got out of there with insurance for $123 ($70 consult + $25 co pay + $26 sliding scale for optos and tax ) Just some info I asked about as well (as of 11/22/2024) They take State insurance: - Community health (for patients 20 and younger) - Coordinated care (but not AM better) Cost without insurance: $207 eye exam with dilation or $247 if you opt for the optos machine instead of dilation
