We went in to pick up my daughters contacts, which they did not call and tell us they were in, and they ordered the wrong kind....and they are a years worth of dailies!! $800 worth of contacts! I walked in to Lens Crafters and received a quote for $430 for a new pair of glasses. I put the glasses on hold until the next day so I could bring in my new prescription. I went in the next day with my new prescription to buy the glasses that were on hold for me. The price went from $430 to $580. I asked why the price difference and was told that the person who had quoted me the previous day was new and that he had misquoted me. I walked out without purchasing. I went back in 2 days later and presented my case to a clerk that my household had purchased 5 pair of glasses last year. She came up with yet another quote...$589. I am now going to let everyone I come in contact with how I was treated. I, as a consumer asked all of the right questions and Lens Crafters will not honor the quoted price. Instead they are choosing to try to rip me off. Do not go to Lens Crafters, they will try to rip you off too! P.S. They received 1 star, only because it was the minimum! I needed an eye exam and new glasses after I broke my very old pair. I got an eye exam from the office connected to LensCrafters. They got me in for an exam quickly and when I was unable to make my scheduled appointment they rescheduled me for the next day. Very friendly and professional. I took my new prescription next door to LensCrafters where Anna helped me pick out glasses frames and Rx sunglasses frames. Anna was super nice and helpful! I couldn't have asked for a better person to help me pick out frames! I had no idea where to start and after telling her about my budget, job and lifestyle she pulled some different styles of frames for me to try. After I picked out glasses and sunglasses frames Anna used a combination of my AAA discount and the store offer to get me the best deal she could since I don't have insurance that includes vision coverage. Both pairs were ready in one week and I couldn't be happier! Thank you, Anna, for taking the time to throughly explain everything and writing out every single option available to me. I love them, the eye exam they give is fantastic and I love the glasses they sell me and the people are very pleasant and helpful, and I love the way you can put on four different glasses and be able to see all four at once on a screen so you can tell which you like best on you, have used them twice now and will continue to read more

The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars, instead of 5, is because, well, it's in a mall (which means mall vibe, and pain in the a** parking), and it's a large chain (and I prefer to shop at locally owned). BUT, I had to write in about the gal who helped me, who gets 10 stars in my book. Tana was the most personable, helpful, professional person to work with. Just left Lense crafters with the worst experience I've had in customer service. I was going through the pre eye exam process with one of the employees. She was asking me personal questions about my health. She asked if I smoked, I said yes. How often, every day. How many cigarettes a day exactly? At that point I told her yes I smoke and that she's making feel uncomfortable and I didn't want to tell her precisely how many cigarettes I smoke a day. She said she was just trying to get back ground. I told her I wasn't comfortable talking about my personal things and would just like the eye exam. She said no problem and finished up and left the room. Then a different doctor came in. She started off by moving me and my daughter to another identical exam room. Then stated the woman before was just trying to get a history back ground. So I said that's fine but I didn't want to talk about how precisely I smoke. Then she got aggressive with me by moving closer and stating she's not gonna tolerate me "bullying" her staff. So I told her, still politely, that stating I was uncomfortable answering the questions is not bullying. She responded by saying she's very protective of her staff. I said I would just like an eye exam. She then wrote on the screen (in plain view) under the next category of health questions "refuses to answer." So I said if you will give me my money back I'll just go somewhere else for an exam. She said yes "our relationship was not going to work..." then took me into the lobby and aggressively told the receptionist to reimburse me because she is not treating me ever. Great thank you... I will not be walking into lense crafters again. Im glad my daughter wasn't old enough to see her dad embarrassed and having to defend himself politely against such disrespect. I believe lense crafters tried to bully me into answering questions I wasn't comfortable with and that's the only reason why I asked for my money back. I've had many eye exams... I'm 31 years old and have worn glasses most my life. I understand they want information pertinent to eye health. But I wasn't comfortable and have gotten many prescriptions for glasses before with out the intrusiveness. Hopefully this was helpful. I won't be a returning customer any longer. read more

This place is amazing! I stepped on my glasses and completely broke them. I had no spares or contacts and of course 90% of eyeglass stores were closed. I went here as a last resort (I try to avoid the mall if I can), and not only was the woman who helped me amazing but they had my glasses done in less than an hour. I was freaking out thinking I'd have migraines and be blind for two weeks without them and then here comes this amazing place to the rescue. So fantastic! read more

Literally the worst customer service I have ever had I'm my life, and I'm usually a pretty understandable and easygoing person. So here's what happened- my boyfriend came in to order his contacts and the receptionist told us they can't find his file (he had just gone in a couple months ago to do his exam) and then tells us the doctor from the company before they switched over had taken it with him to California before he left. Then she says it is up to us to contact him and that we probably won't be able to get ahold of him because he hasn't been replying to emails and is screening calls. Then she says if we can't get his file from him then my boyfriend has to do his exam all over again AND pay for it again. Why is this his fault?! And why is it his responsibility to find the file THEY lost?? We left so angry. If I could give negative stars I would. read more

4 months after getting my eyeglasses, the anti-reflective coating started to peel off. When I went in to order new lenses and they told me it must be my fault, that they wouldn't fix anything since I didn't buy a warranty and left me sitting at a counter while they moved on to other customers. I was willing to pay for new lenses but never got a chance to say so. The manager and one of the employees whispered to each other in front of me and said they would "put a note in my file" as if that helps. They did not offer a discount on new lenses or say "we can't do anything after 4 months" or even try to sell me a new pair. I just got new coverage and decided to schedule an appointment online with Lens Crafter. My appointment was set with the Sexton Vision Group inside of Lens Crafters. The day of my appointment the receptionist had taken my insurance card, after locating my insurance she told me my final copay, was 83. I asked why it was that much and she said insurance covered 40 of it. I was shocked but figured my new insurance didn't cover much. I was never informed at anytime that the provider( Sexton Vision Group) was out of network that was why my cost was so high. It was not until I sat with the lady helping with my glasses did she let me now that my insurance was out of network. I left the store a little upset. So I called the Sexton Group back and spoke with Rebecca who explained my benefits to me, which I understand, I just wanted to know why I was never told that they were out of my network. She said that Lens Crater usually does that when you call to schedule your appointment, but I did my scheduling online so my insurance never got checked. Since this information was never told to me I paid 83 before I was even seen when someone could of explained this to me before paperwork was signed so that i could of went somewhere in network and saved 83.... I got no where when calling the store back. read more
