They gave me the wrong prescription but the doctor said he was right. He doesn't have to wear the glasses that are blurry and give me a headache within 20 minutes of having them on. The doctor said I needed to get used to them for 2 weeks. I have been wearing glasses for 10 years and never had to get used to a new pair they might been different than the old ones but they didn't give me headache. All I wanted was the same prescription that I had but he of course didn't want to do that. The doctor wanted to give me a full exam again and charge $30 dollars out of pocket. Now I can't get an exam on my insurance for a year that I still have to pay for I have 100 days to return any glasses from visionworks B.S. you don't if the doctor says he is right. They robed me of my exam anywhere else I will never be back read more

This was my second year visiting Visionworks and seeing the Optometrist (Dr. Daniel Mulder Optometry). It is the first year I also brought both my daughters. We set our appointments all at once and we never felt rushed or as if we were an inconvenience when we asked questions. My girls are 16 and 9, so you can imagine how many pairs of glasses we each tried on. I'm very thankful that Jamie helped us with paperwork, provided feedback, cleaned the pile of glasses, and was so patient with us. It's nice when a business that sells glasses understands how important it is that we don't have a limit of how many pairs we could try on or make us feel rushed. I want to add that my teenager noticed how the glasses were organized and merchandised. They were merchandised by shape, price, brand, and styles which made it super easy to shop. We have visited other stores prior and honestly it was so hard to shop it because it was only merchandise by brand. Those little charts that help you pick out the best frame shape for your face shape didn't go unnoticed. It was helpful, but then we decided to break the rules and try on all the shapes. When it was time for us to wrap things up and check out, the team helped us narrow down which ones were better. :) not to forget, Jamie broke down what I was being charged for vs. what my insurance was covering. It was super easy to understand and know that I was getting a great buy for our glasses combined. I know that If we were on a tight budget, Jamie would have helped us pick out the frames that were in our price range. However, I'm one that picks out the glasses then worries if the price after insurance would be within budget. I was here about 2 years ago purchasing my other pairs of glasses, and by far there has been a huge improvement in service. I don't even remember who helped me last year... Avoid Dr. Mulder. He apparently is so secure in his contract with Insurance providers that he doesn't feel the need to treat his customers like human beings. Being ten minutes late to an appointment due to unavoidable traffic and a considerate call ahead of time to let him know was rewarded with a prohibitive fee sprung on me after I arrived for my rescheduled appointment weeks later. The dishonest crook wasn't even willing to discuss the issue face to face. read more

I worked with Erin who was fantastic and helped me pick out my new frames. She was very knowledgeable about the lens and asked me questions on my use so that I can make a decision on the best lens. I went there to get my glasses and have been there before. Last year a lady helped me and she was so nice. This week at my my recent visit I was first greeted by an older gentleman and he was so helpful and friendly. He then let me know someone else would be helping me and I didn't think too much of it. Once I was done browsing for my glasses I continued to look. The other man came and started to tell me he didn't like that ones I was trying on- very loud. I was surprised because he said "I'm just going to be honest if I don't like it or how it fits" and I wasn't alone there had been another customer in there with me. I never once asked him to help me or for his opinions and he didn't express his "opinions" to this other customer. I don't know if that's the new way to do things but it was annoying and frustrating. He then continued to show me one's he thought I would like. At that point I just wanted to leave. I did end up ordering my glasses through them but now I regret doing so because I feel like I enabled the rudeness at this business. read more

I was avoiding my eye specialist's eye glass department bc they just aren't awesome at all. And, I had purchased frames outside of the office (no warranty allowed). So, I looked up the best rated eye glass store nearby. This was it. I loved it! The ladies were lovely! Erin in particular was just a gem! She was great with my kids who were told to be patient but aren't the type. And very personable and conversational with me. The glasses came in way earlier than stated as well! This store was amazing! Check in went smoothly and quickly, the Optometrist was very friendly and knowledgeable. I usually get pretty "plain" glasses and Sean, the salesman, was so helpful and showed me some out of my comfort zone glasses that I fell in love with! I ended up getting 2 pairs of daily glasses and a pair of super cool prescription shades for summer! Expected to be done in 3 weeks, my glasses were complete and ready for pickup within a week! I was a little worried because usually retail type stores don't have lenses as thin as my optometrist's office does. I was pleasantly surprised when my son's glasses actually ended up being thinner than I could get from the office. Also, the cost was much less than the office prices. Since we purchased our son's glasses, we've also gotten a pair for my husband and myself. Their employees have always been super helpful and friendly. They even checked which option would be less expensive for me, using my insurance or paying cash. read more

When I went in to browse I found a pair I liked. I called my eye doctor and asked them to fax my prescription. The lady called to tell me she received my prescription. When my glasses came in they came in with no prescription, in fact it was not even entered so they could not remake them. Currently waiting for my refund and insurance refund so I can go elsewhere. From my experience in vision care, I shouldn't have ever ordered but this is where my insurance goes. The glasses looked gross from crapily spraying them down, the lady did not know the difference between and digital and normal lense or material, nor an OC height. I had to get glasses for school and had no idea where to go. I got my first pair of glasses there and I absolutely loved everything about this company. I just wanted to browse the sunglasses with my bf giving me his opinion but the dude who was there wouldn't leave me alone. Constantly coming up to me with ones he think I'd like and telling me about things. It's nice when you first walk in but I felt it was excessive customer service and I am not a people person. Not that happy with visionworks. Had an eye exam and got my new prescription. Picked out glasses and then waited for 2 hours to get my glasses. Picked up my glasses and I could see anything up close. They said it would take sometime to adjust. I said no, I can see anything. They are blurry. They looked at the glasses and prescription and said oh, sorry we didn't make them correctly. You'll have to wait 7-10 days for new lenses. read more

Price was ridiculously HIGH. Staff was very nice and polite. Took forever to input data on their computers. Every time I wanted to make an addition or a comparison to reduce cost she had to start the input data from the beginning- they need updated and better software.. total cost of 2 pairs of glasses was $1200. Get 1 pair free- my cost was $680. I picked the "On Sale Frames" at $60. It didn't make sense that it was still costing me so much. Is getting glasses from a store in a Shopping mall charging more for their over head store cost? After 3 hours I agreed and just wanted it to be over and done with. I canceled my order next day and was told $ would be refunded to my bank card- they state it takes 72 hours. Long story short: I went and bought 2 pair of glasses(almost exactly like the ones I had picked out at Visionworks) at COSTCO for $325. read more

I was a loyal Visionworks patron for 15 years since they were Eye Masters. No more. In November I went in to purchase new glasses. First thing I noticed was a complete staff change. With that change came a lack of professionalism from the way the staff dressed, to their behavior, to their treatment of customers . One man was sitting st a desk, leaning back, eating a bag of chips and brushing crumbs all over his desk.The woman who helped me really didn't know what she was doing. I overheard the man eating chips tell her not to offer me the promotion because it came out of her commission. When I got my glasses, I was immediately aware there was something wrong. I told the girl I couldn't read through the bifocals. She told me to push the frame up further on my nose. Six months later, I'm wearing my glasses in my tear ducts just so I can read. My fault for not insisting they fix them. Their fault for not knowing hiw to do their job. Even if my glasses were perfect, Id never go back. The slovenly appearance and behavior of the staff was enough to turn me off forever.***Curt at VisionWorks agreed with me. Glasses are made wrong. They are getting fixed! And the potato chip eater is no longer with the company! read more
