The good: Everyone was incredibly friendly! Every interaction I had from the front office staff, to the technician who started my exam, to the doctor, and the woman who helped me pick out glasses, was pleasant. The customer service was genuinely excellent. The not-so-good: Before my appointment, I was told they couldn't provide an accurate breakdown of what my insurance would cover until I arrived. I have good vision insurance, and my annual exam should only require a copay. While the exam itself was covered with the copay, I was also charged $100 for a contact lens fitting. At every previous optometrist I've seen, that fitting has been billed to my insurance and covered, so this was an unexpected expense. The doctor also recommended dilating my eyes. I mentioned that previous optometrists have told me my pupils naturally dilate enough that it usually isn't necessary. He said he'd like to dilate them at a future visit just to be thorough. I then asked whether they offered retinal imaging instead, since I've had other offices include that as part of the exam. They do have the machine, but I was told it would cost an additional $40. Overall, I had a positive experience with the people and felt well cared for during the exam. However, I left feeling like there were several unexpected add-on charges throughout the visit. While the staff was wonderful, the overall experience left me feeling a bit nickeled-and-dimed, and unfortunately that makes me hesitant to return. read more

While poking myself in the eye is not something that I would recommend to anyone, the entire team at Blink Eyecare were incredible, and I am grateful! I originally was turned away from another local eye clinic when trying to get an appointment via their triage line, and then in desperation, walking in, both receptionists there were brusk and borderline rude, making it seem as if it was a favor to get me scheduled for later that week. My issue was much more time-sensitive; I had lacerated my cornea. I ended up going to Providence Urgent Care in Spokane Valley, and they were also exceptional. They got me taken care of to the best of their expertise, then ended up getting me an appointment later that morning at Blink. The physician I saw at Urgent Care told me how great everyone at Blink Eyecare is; he shared that it is where he and his family go. Everyone from the receptionist to the optometrist whom I saw was kind, caring, professional, efficient, and made a less-than-ideal situation much better. They took care of me quickly and explained everything clearly as they addressed my needs. They assessed my injury, cleaned my eye, and were able to provide a contact lens band-aid with medicine to help heal my cornea. The optometrist communicated with me throughout the entire visit, and the receptionists scheduled me for a follow-up appointment 48 hours later. Once again, everyone was fantastic at the follow-up visit, and I can tell from all interactions that Blink Eyecare is a terrific business and service within our community. read more

This was my second visit to Blink and I came to see Dr Anderson with some serious eye issues. Pain in my eyes and blurred vision. My PCP had sent me to an in house eye doc and I just hadn't felt good about the care I received. Didn't trust the quick exam. Dr Anderson always explains what she is doing and answers every question. She double checks her work so you know it's the right prescription. I felt so much better leaving that appointment with a new script, a reason for my eye issues that made sense and the feeling that I had been cared for by a doctor that was really concerned for my eyes. My family has been seeing Dr Anderson for years, and now I know I will never go anywhere else! Phase 2 of the eye appointment at Blink is choosing new glasses. This year I tried on everything. I had the most wonderful personal shopping associate: Jaslynn. She gathered glasses from all around the room and I tried on almost all of them. It was so much fun! Sometimes we would get extra options from other associates (hi Sarah ) which really helped narrow it down. Honestly, shopping for glasses here is a joy. So many to choose from, every color, shape, style you can imagine. And if you think after 50 you cannot wear sparkles - Jaslynn says no, you can wear anything! Let's all trust her for this great advice. Looking forward to seeing you all again next year! Go to Blink everyone - the best place in town to buy glasses, the best doctor to care for your eyes. read more

Blink guy helped me overcome an over 30 year fear of mine, which is putting my finger into my eyeball. Huge shout out to Toni in the contact department on having patience, understanding, and care for my slow ability to put a contact in my eyeball to which I absolutely love to wear sunglasses for the first time in my life ! read more

First impressions mean a lot. This was my first visit with my referral thru the VA here in Spokane. Dr Anderson is a wonderful optometrist with both professional and personal skills. Very polite and completed everything required for a complete eye exam. I'm diabetic and she ensured those extra tests required were completed and informed me of all of the results. Very happy with the results. read more

What a fabulous experience! I saw Dr Makadia and I'm so happy with my experience. I called several weeks in advance and they had all my insurance co pays ready for me that day! Such great customer service at the front desk. Dr Makadia did such a thorough exam of my eyes. He also helped me understand some things I was confused about regarding the health of my eyes. He even put my contacts in for me! I spent some time with Olga helping me better my understanding of my contacts and why I have failed before with them! Picking my glasses was a breeze. Lori helped me with that! She went and got them all for me and brought them to the table. She even told me yes or no!!! I really loved this place and will be taking my kids in as well!! Thank you for such great service and really helping me!! read more

Blink continues to provide excellent service. I recently had a yearly diabetic eye exam, which was extremely thorough. I even bought new prescription eyewear, although I didn't really need any! Their selection of designer frames is very diverse and plentiful. Dr. Tracy and the other staff were all kind, helpful, and professional. I very highly recommend Blink! A big plus is that they have off-street parking!! read more

I have purchased 5 glasses with Tim Camphouse's assistance He is exceptional at what he does. He provides excellent customer service and is an expert in his craft. He got to know me as a person and my style. He was attentive thorough and made sure I was 100% comfortable before making any decision. He even asked me if I wanted a second opinion on any choices we made and each time his recommendations and our choices were validated as the right ones He follows thru after an appointment. He Called me on each pair and set expectations and explained to me all my options with each pair. He is genuine and gives you the feeling you are his only customer. I was really not impressed with this company. I went in for an exam, making it clear I was on a strict budget and only wanted to do what my insurance covered. I walked out $225 lighter out of pocket, besides what insurance paid. Now, this was mostly my fault, as I trusted the saleswoman when she said I needed certain things or that the other place I was going to go to wouldn't be able to warranty frames. When my glasses came in, weeks later, I couldn't see out of them. I returned for an additional eye exam, and we found that my prescription was correct, but I still couldn't see out of the lenses. After sending in for a replacement set with a lower prescription, it was better, but still nowhere near acceptable. I returned after a few days of allowing my eyes to adjust, and as I was waiting for the optometrist, one of the receptionists came over, looked at me for a few seconds, and then asked if she could adjust my glasses. Turns out, the prescription was correct, but the tilt of the glasses was wrong for my eyes. She said it's pretty common, and a simple fix. Two seconds in the hands of a receptionist eliminated three weeks of incompetence from this shop. She is the sole reason I gave two stars, and not one. I've been to many optometrists, and this was by far my worst experience. I have calcium buildup in my eyes, and my retinas are in danger of detaching, both of which can cause blindness if not properly addressed. These facts were only brought up when I asked if they were still an issue. I'd expect more from medical professionals. read more

The staff are first rate and the attention to detail and customer service is outstanding!  From the young tall gentleman who checked me in, to Angelica and Kayla - it was a wonderful experience. Our days have been filled with doom and gloom and this was a terrific Tuesday bright spot. Safety, cleanliness and mask wearing was forefront the entire time. BRAVO BLINK! read more

From the ease of the online forms to the several steps of the exam itself, and all the way through pickup of my glasses, this was an utter pleasure. The staff are exceptionally friendly, apparently very skilled & knowledgeable, and not a moment of my time felt wasted or unnecessarily complicated. I can't say enough good things about the overall experience as well as each interaction I had along the way. Kudos, Blink Eyecare. read more

I am absolutely head over heels for the customer service and kindness displayed at Blink eye care! The front desk staff are very welcoming and have used my name which as simple as that sounds is so reassuring that they value me as a patient. I had the best experience at Blink Eyecare. All the employees who helped me were so nice, friendly, personable and knowledgeable. When I checked in the lady told me about fees for the contact service, I'm sure glad they told me up front about that. I highly recommend this location. I came in for a routine visit test, got my current glasses realigned, and the nose pads replaced, Jana went above and beyond my expectations. She made me extremely happy to have my old glasses fixed, they feel and look brand new. Thank you Blink Eyecare. read more

2nd Review, came back again in Oct. 2016: I cannot say enough about the amazing team at Blink Eyecare in Spokane, WA! From the first conversation (setting my appointment), to arriving and being professionally / personally greeted, and all the way through the exceptional exam with Dr. Makadia, the experience was top notch. The entire office staff including Sophia, Erika, Olga, Lori, & Jana were fantastic. When I was selecting frames, I couldn't have asked for a better process; the team made me feel like a VIP with the service I received! I left the office feeling amazing about my new glasses, the quality of my eye care, and that I was valued by the whole team. In addition to an amazing staff, you will not find better optometrists in the area; both Amit & Traci are world class! I had my appointment with Dr. Makadia and not only was he beyond thorough but made me feel like I had been coming there for years and I had nothing to worry about. They run their practice with the utmost care and respect for their patients; every single interaction is professional but with a personal touch. When I went to pick my frames, I was very impressed with the section they had on hand. I was new to selecting frames and the team (Sophia, Erika, & Olga) made sure I had no worries at all, made sure I was happy with the frames I tried on (they weren't pushing their personal choices on me), and took the time to look at literally 30+ frames with me. I was very impressed by this level of customer care and appreciation. If you cannot tell, I could go on and on about the amazing experience I had at Blink eyecare. However, what feels the best is that the team at Blink earned every bit of it and I guarantee that I will be back because of their quality, care, professionalism, and overall commitment to their customers! Thank you all again Blink Eyecare! read more

Today was my first time at Blink Eyecare. The entire process from check-in to picking out new glasses was easy, stress-free, and reassuring. They follow COVID protocols very carefully and I really appreciated that. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and Dr. Makadia was very thorough with my exam and made sure any questions I had were answered. Tim in optical was phenomenal--that guy needs a raise! He was extremely knowledgeable and efficient and made the end of my visit pleasurable when I otherwise might have been grumpy due to being dilated and not seeing well :) Thanks to the entire team--I'll be coming back and sending out referrals to family and friends! read more

This is a horrible company. The entire staff was rude and went out of their way to make myself and my daughter not feel welcome there. When I had questions, the company made me feel like I was a bother and nuisance to them. The doctor spoke to me with arrogance and as if my tiny mind couldn't comprehend the information she would give me. Do yourself a favor and stay away! I live right by this place and purposefully drive triple the time to avoid it at all costs. read more

I have been wearing eyeglasses since the mid-70s, and without a doubt, by far and away, with no competition whatsoever, the eyeglasses that I got from Blink were of the LOWEST QUALITY and HIGHEST PRICE of any glasses I've ever owned. I have really difficult eyes. I have damage from glaucoma, and I have never had a pair of glasses that didn't hurt. Dr. Makadia is the first optometrist whom I have ever had who took the time and had the patience to fit gas permeable contacts so that I could see well. Jana was incredible in trying to fit several pairs of glasses so that they didn't hurt. My interactions with everyone in this office showed me that they all have tremendous patience. I have never been more impressed with an optometrist's office. I highly recommend Blink. read more
