The day of surgery, the team took great care of me, making me very comfortable awaiting my turn. The procedure was professionally handled, and efficiently completed. It was also effective as I now have 20/15, coming from 20/50. So no more squinting to read road signs! And I get to wear my sunglasses whenever(if you have to wear glasses, you know this is a big deal). The instructions for post op care are clear. I have to say the whole process was amazing! Staff was kind, procedure was simple. I could already see the next day! I was expected to be around 20/40 which I was happy with but after full healing I ended up with 20/20! I believe these results were due to all the testing they did to make sure I was a good candidate. Plus the skill of the surgeon along with having the best laser technology. Two days after my appointment and I was feeling well enough to do Bloomsday. The only thing I regret is not doing this sooner. The entire team at LasikPlus did a great job with communication, scheduling, and answering any of my questions. Specifically, Dr.Iwanyk who performed my procedure, told me exactly what was happening every step of the way and I felt reassured the whole time (and by whole time, I mean ten minutes). If you are on the fence, do it- you won't regret it (worst case, have a conversation).

Was told that could take up to 3 months to go away. Procedure: It took around 10 minutes or so, eyes fully numbed, then the Dr. pushed some kind of metal rings around my eyes to keep them open, that was awkward. At times I couldn't tell if my eyes were open or closed, as sometimes my vision went black (creepy). Couldn't feel the flaps being cut by the cold laser. When Dr. was pulling the flaps back, what I was seeing looked like it was going up and away from view, also vision was immediately very blurry while flaps were opened. During the laser sculpting, it smelled like burning hair, although no burning occurred. They say it's just a side effect of the laser reacting with molecules. Vision came back when flaps replaced. Could see everyone right away when I got up, but very blurry. Overall very happy I had this done. Keep your expectations in check, read all the fine print, etc. This is a life changing experience.

I know there are other laser treatment centers that might be a little cheaper, but seriously, it's your eyes! I left there feeling like I finally found a good eye doctor. My wait was 45 minutes past my appointed time, but they had quite a few severely disabled folks being seen and that made them run behind. Seems to be the norm for the larger doctor's offices anyway, so it wasn't a big deal to me. You do have to have patience in these places. I got to watch TV while I waited so that helped pass the time. The facility was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. They have a high call volume and the lobby was quite full, so that told me they're quite busy which means: very good doctors!

I got there at 11 am and had all my forms completed. The girl gave me a packet and told me to go sit in section D. From 11:05 to 11:50 am nobody acknowledged me and nobody told me they were running behind. I waited and waited. I did not end up going to my appointment because I did not have another hour to go and sit around. Terrible place - they were not like this but they were bought out and now run by a different group. Go somewhere else. I am hoping they do not bill my insurance for this since I did not leave anywhere past the waiting room. The girls who came out did not apologize, did not take accountability, and just stared at me when I asked why I was not notified of the delays.

Dr. Fairborn and the office team are nice and have obviously been trained in customer service…read more However, at my last eye exam, I had some kind of allergic reaction to one of the drops I was given and came in the following day for a quick follow up to my regular exam to figure out why my eyes were red and the skin around them completely blistered. I'd been told "come in if you have any issues!" So I did, but was not told that this would be considered a new visit - and it was charged to my insurance company and incurred an additional $50 copay that I was never informed about until I got the invoice in the mail. It would seem like if you have a strong reaction to something that happened during their treatment, you would be seen without it incurring another charge. OR at least you would be informed of such. The glasses that my husband and I ordered from them scratched easily despite paying extra for scratch protection - and I only ever used the cloth given to me. After shopping around we realized we could have saved hundreds going elsewhere. Also keep in mind that one of their employees is "hands on" - that is will touch your shoulder, arm or get into your personal space. While I'm generally really easy going, it happened often enough and bothered me enough to have to ask to have someone else help me - the request was granted, but the nurse I spoke to acted like I was being unreasonable for making the request, and i had to continue to make the request every time I came in - apparently it was not noted in my file. I hate giving negative reviews, but thought it might help others to share my experience. I will be taking my business elsewhere and encourage others to do so as well.

Those places all declined to provide a sample pair unless I had an exam, even though I explained I had my current prescription. When I called Northside, Megan answered the phone. She was fabulous! She asked me what my prescription was, found that they had samples, and provided them to me after purchasing a box of contacts, exactly what I needed! When I arrived at the store, a receptionist warmly greeted me and explained that Megan would be right with me. I sat in their lovely waiting room for a minute before Megan got me my samples and ordered me a six-month supply, all for tremendously cheaper than I had paid for that same box at other stores in the past! Megan solved a major problem for me in minutes and with great kindness and respect. The customer service at Northside Vision Center is truly fabulous, and they've made a lifelong customer out of me!

Dr. Rebecca Jangula is great. However, staff member Mary manipulated me into an unwanted, unauthorized $39 procedure that my insurance would not cover. I never authorized any extras. Then office manager Heather refused to release my medical records until I paid for it. This is against HIPAA and Idaho law and down right dishonest and unethical. They lied and manipulated me solely to add the extra charge (likely so Mary could earn a commission). They cared only about their money, not my finances. Buyer beware. I won't be going back or referring anyone to them. $39.00 just cost them way more in lost business
