Great experience with eye exam and frame choice. That said, I was told my glasses could take 14 'business days' as they farm all that out these days. Surprise...just got a text they are ready after FOUR days! Gotta love a business which under-promises and over-delivers. All in all, very happy with the entire process, and would recommend them to anyone who needs glasses. This is an updated review, 3 years later. I was greeted by Jojo and I entered the waiting area. Jojo once again met me and did all the pretesting for my appointment with the doctor. Jojo was so amazing. This is my 4th visit there and the other 3 optometric technicians in the past were not as good as Jojo, they all had difficulties with my testing, Jojo was very patient and guided me through the testing. Honestly, in the past, the pretesting was the least favorite part of my annual eye exam. I had Dr. Thanh Nguyen again, he treated me during my initial visit on March 19th, 2022, and I really liked him then and now. He is very professional, knowledgeable and easy to interact with. He listened to my concerns and gave me his recommendations. I will definitely ask for him next year!!! Dr. Nguyen and Jojo make a great team. They made this experience very pleasant. So today I went to LensCrafters in Lakewood mall to get my new RayBan Meta glasses prescription lenses. I was greeted by a nice young lady and since it wasn't busy at all I was seated and we discussed exactly what I was looking for. The young lady Sashy was awesome she gave me very thorough information and showed me all my options as far as transitional lenses. We even chatted about our trips coming up to Japan. Wearing glasses is a whole lifestyle. I personally don't wear glasses but I do understand how important it is to have the right Glasses/sunglasses . My mom had three pairs of glasses silver gold and a mixture of brown and white. We convinced her that she needed more. So three pairs later we think we have all the colors that she could ever need. I came in with a pair glasses with one of the arms broken off. The metal part that connects the arm to the frame was bent and mis-shapen. Everything about this LensCrafters can improve. It has been 2 months and they have not had my contact lens trial order ready. I went in person and was told they were unable to give me my prescription because I had to wait for my trial order and they were also unable to give me a refund so that I can go to a more competent place. Today, a month later I called on a Sunday to finally make the appointment for the lens fitting and was told by Emily that she would look up my information and call me "when she can". I first want to say that parking is so convenient. If you park on the backside of Lens Crafters there is an entrance right there. No need to go through the mall and there's always a parking space I went in last week to get my lenses replaced. Went in Monday and Tuesday morning I got a text that they were ready That was quick. When I went in Tuesday a gentlemen helped me with my glasses his name is "Power" Omg, he was so friendly! He found my glasses and was so helpful he cleaned them, fit them to my head and got a new case. His customer service was an A+ for me. Incompetent Optometry... I have had, literally, dozens of eye exams and glasses from Lens Crafters over the years. This time, the doctor (Dr. Lin) was obviously way off from the start, she rushed my exam and didn't listen to my concerns. Needless to say, the prescription was way off, and the glasses I received were useless. I asked to see a different doctor for a new exam, and double checked that I was scheduled with a new doctor the day before the second exam. They told me I was scheduled with Dr. Wong this time. Day of my appointment though, nope! Surprise! it was Dr. Lin again. This time, she couldn't figure out what to do, gave up, and told me I should see a different doctor who may have a different approach. No kidding! That's what I had already tried to do. At that point, I gave up. At least they didn't hassle me when they refunded my entire $770 purchase, I can't get back my wasted time though, and I still need new glasses. Oh, and they also lost my wife's contacts that she ordered there. read more

The environment was nice and clean. I was greeted by Veronica the store manager whom was very friendly and professional. I needed to have my nose pads replaced and aligned. It took one hour wait. This was my recent experience with LensCrafters, it was my first time making an appointment online. And it was unclear what time I should arrive it said 1:20p to 1:40p so I arrived at 1:35 however when i arrived the woman said they canceled my appointment because it was after 10min and said that it needed to come back another day. I explained I was unclear and I wasn't aware of the 10min rule as it never stated that any where online, so the women spoke to a manager and they let me proceed with my exam prescreen, except after the prescreen they said the doctor was out of office for an hour and they said I could wait and see if he could squeeze me in if there was a cancellation or I could comeback back another day. Absolutely ridiculous the lack of communication between the staff and doctors, and a waste of my time I will never go back to this location. It was a complete waste of time. read more

I just sat for 15 minutes in your Lakewood location in Ca. It was empty and neither of the two females working would assist me. I even went back up to the counter after waiting patiently and asked if anyone could help me with pricing and she said have a seat and someone would be with me. They proceeded to laugh and talk and take phone calls. I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. This happened just now during the morning shift on 11/16/2023 @ 10:30am. I had an appointment for new lenses and got confused and called in, and the guy who answered was VERY friendly and helpful and I was able to find my way. The people at the front greeted me and explained to me that everything was disinfected and how to try stuff on. I already had my frames tho so they told me where to sit instead. I only waited a little for the lenses person, a very nice woman around my age who made conversation with me and explained everything very clearly. She was very kind and then she said something i didnt expect at all: my glasses would be ready TODAY! YAY!!!! I would 100% come back here. Don't come here this place is a joke, will charge you for stuff you don't even need and then require you to make an appointment to pick up contacts so they can charge you for another appointment and then I paid a lot of money for frames and had to ask them for a dust cloth for them instead of getting a complimentary one like most places. read more

The initial screening was also wonderful. And the technician who measured my eyes and took care of the ordering process, his name was Power and he was wonderful as well. Overall, a great experience. So I came in to this store at 1202pm, 04/29/24, and told this white old lady that Im there for my follow up appointment for my contacts, this old lady asked me with an attitude where's my contacts. told her in a nice way that I don't have it anymore since they only gave me 5pairs for a week, didn't talk to me anymore just told me to wait to wait area. No one told me to wear it on the day of my follow up appointment. The last time I had a new prescription was like a year ago. So I really don't remember the process of the follow up appointment. I've been going to this store for almost 7years now and this is the first time that a worker treated me badly. read more

Well I had a great experience online so wanted to share this. I did have some trouble in the store. I think it is best to get your eye exam done, then get on a computer and call a sales person, they can filter the product in store and help you get what you need. I managed to get two pairs of glasses for under 500 with lenses on both, didn't cheap out at all, all the best options. So, the deal was 50% off the second frames+lenses price, and then there was another deal online which I managed to get them to honor despite them saying they would need to order the lenses especially as they don't make them in house. No problem, as I got a second pair of Oakley where they can get them ready in two hours! Problem solved, and I just seem to spend like 700 for one pair when I go into the store and don't use online to find deals, I wish I had got the name of the salesman who helped me at Lakewood. Horrible store, rude customer service, called to get my glasses, was lied to that they were done, had to come multiple times to get them, they tried to give me TRY ON FRAMES for my 300$ frames. I had to ACTIVELY tell them I refuse to pay for frames that are on the floor and the "try on" sample Honestly, with how bad my glasses are from here, I assume that's what they are. My family and I came here with a prescheduled appointment for 3:30pm and called the location 30 minutes in advance to confirm the appointment. We entered the building at 3:32pm to check in and the receptionist, Emily, denied us service. I would understand if we were significantly late to the appointment and denied service, however I fail to see how being 2 minutes late would significantly alter the circumstances surrounding our appointment especially since we called to confirm our attendance. The supervisor seemed to not understand either as he intervened and offered us our appointment slot still however we politely declined since we felt the receptionist was being hostile towards us. read more

Excellent customer service! The lens on my glasses popped out about a month ago, I would attempt to get it back in but it never really fit correctly and kept popping out. On Thursday night the lens popped out again! So I called Lens Crafters about 30 minutes before they closed, a very nice woman answered the phone and said they could help. I brought them in, they said the frame was broken, so the repair dude put in a new bolt and had them fixed in about 10 minutes. I'll be needing new glasses in a few months and Lens Crafters has just earned my business! Thank you, I can see again! read more

Nothing to complain about... Always been of great help to me even on the phone. they took the time to explain the plans they had to offer to me and how to make it cheaper on me. So, unfortunately they do not take medical but they do take plenty of other r ones. They seem to have many specials Year round. The eye exam processs is fairly simple and I was in and out maybe within a total of maybe 20 minutes including the wait time. Will definitely come back latter this year.. have been here twice already. Check them out for yourself. They also have a loT of different brands from ray bans to GIorgio Armani. SungLasses are also available and thEy'll also do the contact lensess there. Usually the wait time to get your glasses back can vary from a couple of hours to maybe a day. read more

His customer service and personability was extremely helpful. My appointment was kept in time. The staff there was very helpful answering questions. My second time at a Lens Crafters my first time at this location. Summary of my story: don't bother coming here. You'll be in the waiting room for 2.5 hours. And also Costco is a life saver. I came to this location as a walk in, told they have availability to take me in 30 min. I told them I would walk around the mall and to call me when they were ready. Took my walk and came back when they called me. I waited about 15 min and was taken in by the optometrist assistant for the screenings before the actual exam with the optometrist. I was told to wait outside again and the optometrist would be ready for me shortly. An hour passes by and the waiting room gets fuller and fuller. By then I thought well I might as well walk out and see if there was somewhere else in the mall that would see me sooner. I ended up at Costco where they saw me immediately and I was in and out! Ironically as I was walking out of Costco with my prescription Lens Crafters called me to tell me the doctor was ready to see me... HA! read more
