Hands down one of the most efficient dentists I have ever had. No upsell or tricks l, just to the point and you are in and out when you have an appointment. Only thing is that there is no parking lot. Soooo, you must find street parking. No sweat for me cuz Dr. Vu makes up for that. read more

I've been coming here for years and have a lot of respect for the doctor. She's been very accommodating even when I was pregnant and had to bring in my toddler considering the office space is a little smaller. Unfortunately, they seem to have a new front desk reception that doesn't uphold the standards the doctor's office has always had every time I go. I've never had a negative experience on the phone, in office, with follow ups, etc. and this weekend alone I found myself in the middle of two separate issues with an argumentative, rude, confused new receptionist. It was bad enough that she caused me to get a write up at work showing up late with broken glasses I told her I'd fix before work (called reception very close to opening time and she said "come in, we can fix them right now" as I specified I needed them done upon arrival if possible, took my glasses upon arrival which was within 10 minutes, and then proceeds to tell me "we can't fix them until 2pm") sorry what? I work front desk and always have and a big aspect of it is pre planning your day and anticipating. She clearly did not check the schedule to see if she had appointments because had she done that she'd notice Dr. Vu would be busy starting at 10am and her technician wouldn't be in until 2pm so there would've been no one to fix my glasses and she could've explained that. No problem. Instead, when I call back around 4 to ensure that the technician would be in the next day she proceeds to get argumentative trying to explain why she said what she said. I come in the next day after she rudely confirms the day before AND the next morning that the tech will be there. Upon coming in, my glasses were serviced and technician did a great job btw, but then she DOESNT GIVE ME MY GLASSES BACK AND TRIES TO DO COMPUTER PAPERWORK OR WHATEVER FIRST. When I ask if they're done she says yes but let her do the computer stuff before she gives them to me. Meaning, she wanted to answer my follow up questions (which she kept giving mixed up answers about because she'd speak before she fully read prior notes from prior receptionists to understand where we were at) before giving me my glasses. Uh girl I can't see? I would definitely prefer to speak to someone I can see about matters like payments and scheduling!! And in the midst of the confusion with her explaining skills, I was very upset because she kept trying to argue why the previous thing was the right thing even though she was actively correcting herself (ex: "she hasn't been in since last year" ..... "oh I see the note now, she came in February"). Normal mishaps like that are nothing to worry about and completely normal but when it's six times in one conversation and that follows a wasted attempt the day before AND a bad attitude combined with a rude demeanor and stare... it's very upsetting and she's very fortunate to have caught me on a busier day. It's upsetting to see the decline in the front desk of this office because I've been coming here for years! I wouldn't pay any money with that kind of service and wouldn't feel comfortable waiting in that office anymore. It's been many years and a few different receptionists but this new one is by far the worst. I hardly EVER leave yelp reviews but she was entirely too much for such a little person. I'm leaving this review because there may be people that come in that she gives the same impression to that won't say anything and just take it for one reason or another like the old convenience or reasonable pricing the office had/has. Definitely need some accountability there... it's part of the job to be able to be receptive and concise and still maintain a decent attitude. read more

So I called to get an update on my dad's glasses. Tell me why they told me they need to check with the Dr on that? Like aren't you the optician or a representative. You can't give me an information? This is the last time my parents will be getting their glasses done there. They will come to my office to do it. The hours says open until 3 on Saturday but their answering machine says 1. I have been coming here for years. Dr.Vu always listens to my concerns and she gives helpful explanations. The waiting area is combined with the dentist's waiting area so there is limited seating. My appointment was at 9:30am on a Friday and it took over an hour to be seen so I suggest you come with the expectation of waiting to see the doctor (like all other appointments). The girl working the front desk was very helpful both in person and over the phone. Overall it took 2 weeks to receive my glasses but that factor does depend on your insurance. I brought in my own frames and there was no issues. I have also ordered prescriptions sunglasses from here and I liked them. read more

Dr vu was ok. The desk was ok. Really lacks any real service to call good. My real only problem was the lack of having an eye technician explain what I may need. The glasses I chose were too big. My prescription was high on one side making glasses fit strange. They're unusable I think Dr Vu wanted me to schedule another appointment for something but since she had to run out, the front didn't know and didn't schedule. Zero follow up 4 months later.. Very inconvenient hours and customer service. I only come here for their wide selection of designer frames. It's so hard to get a hold of this office. Their "earliest availability" for appointments is not until months way later when you call in. It's ridiculous. From personal experiences, after I made appointments & purchases AND will already leave the office, they will call you hours later to say they forgot to check or add something therefore leading to a canceled appointment or price changes. They're very slow and will not assist you diligently. read more

Please do not waste your time coming here. My first visit was last year and the office staff are all rude. They have no idea what professionalism means. The first doctor i saw was great. I can not remember her name. However, I had to come back because my contacts were the wrong prescription and had to see another doctor. She was incredibly rude and even though I told her my vision was blurry she looked at me as tough I was lying. Then I asked her how my yearly contacts that I would get worked and again like I was bothering her or something. You are there to help your clients not make them feel like a bother. Anyway, I tried again this last month. Goodness was that a bad idea. Ok, so I go in at my appointment time and again staff is the same. Then they have me do all the te4sts before seeing the doctor. I took my contacts off and sat down to wait until called. Then 10 minutes into waiting to see the doctor(after waiting(5 minutes when I arrived) i was called to the front desk. The doctor wasn't going to be at the office for another 45 minutes. "would you like to wait?" Umm.... no that's why I make an appointment! Ridiculous. read more

Unfortunately, we had to go back there three weekends in a row because my husband was having problems with his contacts and each time we had to wait over an hour to be seen by the doctor. Dr. Vu is a caring, competent, and a top-notch Optometrist. I was pleasantly surprised because this was my first time in to UC2020 and the office is modest. However, the service is excellent. I've been coming here since the 6th grade, 6 years later and I'm still here! The doctor knows me well and we always have deep conversations. You're probably wondering why I'm not giving it a 5 stars well the reason is because I wished there were more varieties, they do have a good selection but sometimes it isn't my kind of taste. I've been coming to UC 20 20 for about 8 plus years and though I appreciate Dr. Vu sisters, I am consistently disappointed by their staff. I'm always told contradicting information after the exam and end up paying more or never have I received a pair of glasses correct the first time. And now, with my most recent pair had right lens with incorrect prescription. Unless you have low expectation or just want exam, UC 20 20 is decent, but if you want quality customer service with good product, then go someone else. read more

The workers and optometrists are EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. They are eager to help and answer all your questions. And they properly train you on what to do when you put on contacts. They take great pride in what they do and they do a good job at it! They also have a WIDE range of glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses to choose from. So, you'll definitely find on that you'll like. The prices are very reasonable also. I would recommend putting an appointment so that the optometrists and workers would be prepare to know when you're coming in. Please do not waste your time going here. I have never written a bad review about a place before BUT people need to know the truth about the horrid experience you will encounter coming here. First off the receptionists are so incredibly rude. They are not professional at all and treat you like you are a piece of trash on the side of the road. During my eye exam the receptionists did not help me with the "glasses case" nor did they assist me during my whole entire visit. After I picked out a pair and paid for them they gave me no further directions as to when my glasses should be done. They basically looked at me like I was wasting their time so I just left. So I called within a week to see if my glasses were ready and they rudely replied with a "NO" and hung-up on me. I called a second time the following week and they hung-up on me again. Mind you I am not a rude person and did not give them attitude at all during this whole time. I had to call a 3rd time to find out that my glasses were finally ready...and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have bothered calling me to let me know that anyways. So I picked up my glasses and they just handed them to me and looked at me again like I was wasting their oh so precious time. I had to ask them to adjust my glasses and after they did that (along w/ having an awful attitude) they gave me my glasses back and resumed back to what they were doing. I had to say bye to them. Needless to say I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK HERE EVER AGAIN. As for the receptionists...please read a book about costumer service or do us all a favor and just quit because you "girls" obviously hate what you're doing. read more
