Have been an Eye Land Optometry customer for many many years, and this is the very first time my glasses are being dragged, Place the order like 3 weeks ago, my daughter call to get an update as to when they will be available, and they literally told her, if she needs her glasses now, there is a 100 dollars expedite service. This is insane, I call her back as soon as I got to my destination , ask to speak to the office supervisor and person who answer the phone say she was the manager LIZ, she had a different tone, she stated the glasses takes 3 weeks, and we have to wait until Thursday to see if the glasses arrive to her location and to call back on Thursday. I feel that they just wanted to charge extra because like an hour later, I received a phone to let me know the glasses were going to be ready in 30 minutes. Wanted to update this review because I finally was able to take my daughter somewhere else and her prescription as I suspected is completely different than what I was given here. Also because the woman that is at the front desk had the audacity to call me after I left the first review and say that they "took me in as a walk in" even though they were busy. #1 I called on a Monday and was given an APPOINTMENT for that Thursday so NO I WAS NOT A WALK IN! #2 there was ONE OTHER PERSON WHEN WE GOT THERE...Don't go here especially if you have a referral from medical it will only be good for one visit per year do not waste it at this place read more

Coming to Eyeland Optometry for YEARS because Dr. Turner is very respectful, nice, and has been very personable with me. I wanted to stay and support her business, but it's time for me to move on for the following reasons: 1. I am sad that the staff doesn't have the same type of energy Dr. Turner portrays. They seem very unmotivated and uninterested of keeping clients they had for years. I wish they provided more excellent service where I can feel HAPPY walking in. 2. The glass selections are pretty outdated. I was told that if I provided them a certain glasses they can order it. The staff member denied speaking to me about it. I wouldn't be upset about the situation if everything was said the first time. My glasses were broken and it felt like they just wanted me to stick around and be their customer. 3. I know they are a small business trying to make the most out of their profit. In the $200 I spent on contacts because my insurance didn't cover the rest, they did give me trial pairs. Where do I begin, I have been coming to this Optometry since I was a kid. The one & only place I'd go to, and worth the drive. They are amazing let me start with Jay & Dr. Christina. They are the sweetest and most kindhearted and caring. Jay was able to meet my need in getting my lens done same day, as I came in with broken frames, without my frames I can not perform & Dr. Christina to the rescue starting working on them right away. I had an interesting experience, calling and making the appointment was smooth, made it clear i need an updated prescription for my glasses & contacts which one was covered through my insurance and the other for my contact exam was out of pocket for $60. Everything felt fast and rushed, not much was explained. I asked for my printed prescription but it was a conversation where i had to demand it. I asked why my pupil distance wasn't measured and why it wasn't on paper and the doctor (Christina Turner) said because every glasses is different, which true but she could've measured the distance without glasses. Secondly, she didn't want to give me my contact printed prescription, because she said it wasn't finalized yet? I said didn't i come in for a contact lens exam? Wasn't i suppose to get my prescription for my contacts? She said what if i didn't like the trial ones she gave me, so i asked if my eyes are the same prescription and size, then whether i try a different brand apart from the trial contact lenses she gave me, does it mean every brand means i have to get resized? I LITERALLY HAD TO QUESTION EVERYTHING. I got both of my prescriptions PRINTED, but from what i noticed on paper my PD was "guesstimated," by the front desk lady named "Jay" and she said it's an average of 29.5 for both eyes unless i buy a pair of glasses there. Whether I come in to use my insurance, or pay out of pocket for a full exam and prescription, it should be full and thorough exam, and a print out should be given to the patient if ASKED, there should be no fumble or conversation. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK. HORRIBLE. Please be educated before you run into a clinic like this. read more

My son has autism so he won't sit still for so long and has challenge with being focused on what he is instructed to do. Yet the the staff and doctor were very patient and kind to instruct him and wait until he follows the instructions during the eye exam. We have LA Care for our insurance and so we have our choices of glasses with co-pay for the blue light protection lenses but we were given a discounted price so it's a good deal. The place was spacious, clean and we felt safe especially having a child with special needs. They don't let anyone in unless you have an appointment, the chairs are arranged with social distancing and everyone should wear a mask. I highly recommend this place. read more

I had a great experience visiting Eye Land Optometry this week! It was easy to get an appointment the same week and Dr. Turner and Aurora were very communicative and fabulous to work with. The environment inside the shop was welcoming. They were observing safe COVID practices such as mask wearing, social distancing and sanitizing. And they also had good music on while you wait! I had an eye exam and was diagnosed with an astigmatism and was prescribed reading glasses. They have a good selection of attractive frames. Had fantastic experience here! She followed all COVID protocol which was important to me. It went so smoothly. Parking was super easy outside. Plenty around. The woman up front took care of me so quickly and completely attentive. It went faster than I thought it would too! Dr. Turner answered all my questions and very sweet. I had a terrible experience here. First of all I called the office to schedule appt and scheduled appt for saturday at 11:30am then I received a call and change it to 9:30am. I get there and door still closed and had not open yet. I had to wait while they get everything together since they had just opened. I get called in for the pre examination and waited again to be seen by the Doctor. I come out and one of the staff takes me to see the cheapest glasses that are covered by Medical and I have EyeMed insurance through my job. She tells me this are fully covered by Medical. I'm not sure if because I am hispanic assumed I had Medical for my kids. I then ask for my kids prescription and this lady tells me prescription not completed and cannot give me the copies that she will email me copies who knows when. I was like really. As patient we have the right to get the copy of the prescription right away. I waited 15 minutes just to get the copy. I'm definitely not coming back to this office. read more
