However, when it comes to actually getting glasses, I was less than satisfied with the service and quality. I purchased a pair of sunglasses (frame and lenses) from Vision Designs Optometry and found the lenses to be extremely poor quality compared to lenses made with the same prescription from another business. I paid a fee for hi-index lenses because of the magnitude of my prescription, and expected the lenses be thinner and lighter. It was the complete opposite. Additionally, the lenses made me dizzy even after wearing them for a couple of weeks. I brought this up with Sylvia, the optician, and was met with a dismissive attitude. When I asked if she could check if I indeed received the hi-index lenses, her response was, even before looking, "You did because I entered the order." Sylvia started blaming the thickness of the lenses on the large frame, which I confirmed with 3 other opticians that it made not sense. She then agreed to re-make the lenses and shave off some of the thickness. One week later, I got a call that my new lenses were ready (note the first order took about 2 weeks). When I tried on the new lenses, I did not see a difference in the thickness of the lenses, but rather noticed that all they did was mount the lenses forward in the frame. When I tried them on in the store, it was fine. However, after wearing them for about 20-30 minutes, I become dizzy again. I have completely given up on the pair and they are now just sitting in my drawer because I cannot wear them without feeling dizzy. I even question if the lenses were even re-made or if I just got the same lenses back. I really wanted to support this small business as it is in my community. However, between the poor customer service and quality I will be looking for a new optometry business when it is time for me to renew my prescription and get new glasses.

My calls were not answered, my voicemails were not returned, and when I came in person, I still didn't feel like my concerns were taken seriously and they always seem to be doing nothing. The customer service was disappointing, and I was also surprised when I received my glasses without even a case or anything to protect them. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and unfortunately, I will not be returning. I would recommend going somewhere else if you're looking for good communication, customer service, and attention to detail.

Dr. Alina Ho, Steven, and their friendly staff do a great job in making you feel welcomed. With every question I had, they answered it quickly. The optometrist has a waiting area with leather couches and a little play thingy for the kids. While browsing their store, I couldn't believe the number of brands they had. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would…read more Let me start by saying this place is completely fraudulent. They overcharge insurance (like Medi-Cal) and make false claims. They tell you that you're getting "new glasses every time" -- which is a lie -- and then bill Medi-Cal for it. When I asked for proof, they couldn't provide any. Instead, they told me to Zelle them $85 for new glasses, which I did. Later, I found out Medi-Cal denied their claim because the office has a history of false charges. Now they're refusing to refund my $85, claiming my Medi-Cal "isn't active." Total scam. Please don't come here -- avoid at all costs. They are dishonest, unethical, and take advantage of people. Update just call them to get an update about getting my money back and I believe it was Dr.Frohn himself just treating me with his lawyer for putting my review. In the U.S., you are legally protected under the Consumer Review Fairness Act (2016). That law makes it illegal for a business to punish or sue you just for sharing an honest opinion or negative experience, as long as what you write is truthful and based on your real experience.
