I went to order my glass and liked the service. But after that it was not good at all. First they said I will get the glass in 10 days and gave me a date. Two days before the day they called it's taking time and postponed the delivery one week. When I called the new delivery day, it srill not arrived and telling me it will come in one or todays!! Their receptionist Ashley is rude and lacks customer service. She talked to me as if 1. I couldn't afford the various pricing for my daughter to be seen 2. Because I needed an explanation of the benefits she caught and attitude and was frustrated to have to explain it to me multiple times and then come to find out two different entities pulling from my benefits so If that was made clear upfront. It could have avoided a lot of the back and forth on top of that knowing it's partial in network. Lack of customer Service. You either know it or you don't. read more

I was in need of a quick pair of glasses, so I decided to visit the store. Conversely from my experiences at the Columbia location, the associates clearly do not know how to leave their issues at the door. One hot mess of a woman, who I will not name due to privacy concerns, (but a blonde female manager) clearly lacks the ability to leave her emotional ire at the door. I inquired about ordering a third pair of eyeglasses for just the frames and she seemed to get worked up in annoyance at my request as if it were an outlandish one. I was only asking if it were possible for posterity purposes going forward. I was annoyed so I told her not to worry about it, which apparently sent her on an emotional spiral to which she couldn't even handle the transaction so I dismissed her altogether. I typically refrain from reviews as their time wasting and invoke unconscious biases but it was just uncalled for. Taking a retrospective moment, it's actually somewhat funny. read more

If I could this review zero stars I would. This store has the worst employees I've have ever seen in my life. I walked inside the store and the two employees at the desk just stare at me neither of them asked me if I needed help with anything. I had to walk up to the desk and let them know what I was in the store for. I thought that would give someone the initiative to at least follow me to the glasses section and ask if I needed help picking out glasses or what style did I have in mind. No of course not. None of them did that. They have customers just sitting around also not being helped. Then of course as I'm walking out obviously upset one of them decides to make eye connect with me for what. What a joke. Husband used the online program to set up an appointment and he got an email to confirm. He went the day and time noted and when he got there they had no record of the appointment and were rude about it. If everyone insists on using an online system it needs to work and the employees need to own the errors. So many more places now to get eyeglasses. My wife and I had a very positive experience with our eye exam and selecting new prescription glasses and sunglasses. Dr. Glenn was great and explained the examination and results in a way no optometrist has for me. The manager, Tina, that helped us select our glasses was very helpful and worked to get us the best price possible with our insurance. She also offered useful advice to my wife who was getting progressive lenses for the first time. We went on a Thursday at noon so it was not busy but several other customers came in and were helped in what seemed to be reasonably fast. Overall a positive experience for us. read more

Will DEFINITELY come back. Again. And again. And again. The independent optometrist, Dr. Glenn, is awesome. But the retail side is not so great. Everyone was personable and helpful, but I felt that their pricing was outrageous and sales tactics were dishonest. They automatically selected and charged me for the premium anti-reflective lens, which my insurance didn't cover, without asking me if that's what I wanted. They didn't explain any of the pricing, just gave me a total, claiming a pair of standard kids' glasses with $140 frames would have been $600 (!!) before insurance. Who pays over $400 for single vision lenses?? Then AFTER I paid, they gave me an itemized explanation which was folded up inside an envelope. I didn't realize until later that they upgraded the lenses without asking me. It's ultimately my fault for not asking more questions but I don't appreciate the lack of transparency in pricing. My daughter's last pair of glasses, which have served her perfectly well for over a year, cost less than half of what I paid here. read more

I know that this my second review of LensCrafters. But they sent me another request for one, so I thought I would oblige. Lakeforest Mall store customer service is horrific and Frederick store employees have no clue what they are doing. LensCrafter's corporate customer service is non existant even after 4 requests for contact. Parent company is located in Italy and there is no contact information. Local district manager refuses to receive communication from customers. 6 frames, 9 sets of lenses, 2 eye doctor visits and 10 trips to stores. Statements of "tell him I left for the day", "I don't know how that happened" and "I don't know what to do" seem to be their answer for any questions. read more

My experience at this location was a good one. I needed new glasses in a pinch. The person assisting me was helpful and very nice. I am very pleased with my glasses and got them in less than an hour. I deducted one star because even with a 40% discount on lenses (single vision), it was expensive. read more

Had my eye exam and picked out frames on 8/10/19. It has been almost a month. I called a week later when they told me my glasses would be ready. I was told the lenses were on back order. Then I was told they were in and would be ready next day. Called next day and it was the wrong lenses, and my lenses were still on back order. The manager then got on the phone and told me not to call anymore, that they would call me when they were ready. I live an hour away from Frederick so it would be nice if they kept me updated on what's happening, plus I need my glasses for driving, so much for same day/next day service. I called last week because I still hadn't heard anything and was told they had to re-order my lenses again to see which arrived first, the ones they previously ordered, or the ones they just ordered and the manager in snipe remark said, "I don't know what else to tell you." No, I'm sorry for your inconvenience or any type of apology. Manager is so rude and needs a course in customer service. Some thing is not right with her and someone should look into her conduct and business ethic. Very disappointed and upset. read more

After 20 faithful years of taking my family to LensCrafters I will never again go back thanks to the manager of this store. I know my insurance I know what it covers and I know what a pair of glasses should cost me. He tried to rip me off to the tune of $60 and argued with me for 20 minutes over the math. It was downright insulting to my intelligence. I showed him on a calculator 3 times how much the glasses should cost and he kept insisting that according to his computer screen which he would not show me the difference was $60. He was adding on extras that were already covered by my insurance and was being sneaky about it. I proceeded to take my business elsewhere where I got the exact same glasses for the exact cost that I calculated in this store. I will go back only long enough to get his name so that I can file a complaint with the corporate office. read more

It seems that all the workers are always on a smoke break. They smoke in front of the building the smell travels throughout the plaza my daughter works at a store nearby and she also says they are always smoking. First of all, you cannot smoke that close to a building in this plaza and also I do not appreciate having to hold my breath every time I walk by of go in to purchase something. I went in to purchase new reading glasses and the only people there was the receptionist who didn't bother to say hello or acknowledge me until I was at the register(the rest were smoking outside). never going back rather go across town then to come back to this place. read more
