The sassy manager is rude and dishonest. I wouldn't recommend this location. I've been going to LensCrafters at other North Dallas locations for years and always bring my own frames because I'm particular about the style. This rude "Manager" aka white male, told me they don't allow outsiders' frames to be used. I said, "Really?" but didn't waste my time arguing with this person, and I walked out to go to another location where they had no problem ordering lenses for my frames. I have to say my father & I had the best experience with Jackie! She took the time to explain everything, options, different lenses and listened to my 93year old father's stories! When we came to pick up the glasses, she held the door open for my dad in his wheelchair and totally remembered us! She is a GEM!!!! read more

All of the staff at the Fairview store are helpful and friendly. I had some issues getting my new glasses to fit correctly and they patiently tried to help. I ultimately ended up exchanging them for a different pair--due to the 30 day guarantee--and Makenna, the great sales associate, took care me in the most professional and amiable way. When we walked in I was greeted by a man w tattoos. He asked if I had a current prescription on hand and when I told him no, he suggested I went next-door to grab the updated prescription so I did. When I arrived back to Lenscrafters just a few moments later, he told me that somebody else could help me but all that person did was grab the prescription to update it in the system and hand it back to me. He did not attempt to assist me locate any glasses or ask me what kind of style I liked. I guess I'm just used to a level of customer service at the other Lenscrafters locations and this one does not match up. I came here a few weeks ago and met a Filipino lady and she was very helpful but she was off today. We waited around for about 10 minutes and noticed that both gentlemen were just on their phone not paying attention to anybody else who was inside the store so we decided to leave since no one wanted to help us. If I could give any advice, it would be to make your customers more of a priority than just to clock in and collect a paycheck. read more

Time for replacement glasses. These puppies cost a small fortune, but I'm worth it! I'm not into contacts or lasix. Glasses are the only other choice to correct my vision. When you first approach people the first thing you notice is their face. If the face is framed in a nice pair or glasses you tend to notice that. I'd like to think I'm not superficial, usually I do notice the whole person. (Posture). Overall, after the quick look the eyes are the next thing I notice. My glasses were quite expensive. I am really happy with them and that's what counts the most. Dr Freeman's tweaking of my prescription did the trick. I could have gone much cheaper, but I think I would have lost the look I was trying to achieve. These glasses are really modern and will go with any thing I wear. I'm done with LensCrafters! First of all, I only went for the one-hour service, which evidently only available these days if you have the simplest of prescriptions. Mines not complicated, but they had to send it out....week to 10 days. I could get that anywhere, cheaper. I had insurance and specific things that they would pay for but the salesman kept trying to upsell me. He even tried to sneak a repair plan in on me for another $40 which I didn't ask for. Now, I've waited patiently for 13 days, and when I called to inquire I was told they cannot find my order, lost in shipping, and they will "rush" a new order, which means I'll be waiting another week. read more

I really can't say that there is anything bad about this location. Yes they will try to sale you with the higher end lens... but if you come in with a purpose, I think you will be okay. I have bought two set of glasses from this place over a 4 year period. The first time around, it was quick in and out... This second time, I really took my time and the rep that took care of me did not mind at all because I wanted a pair that I was really comfortable with. If you can get the in house lens, it will only take them 2 hours to make it for you... and it took for me to pick up. I wish I could give a NO star. Ordered glasses waiting 3 weeks before I called. They could not find glasses, could not call or find out any information. Few days later, when I called back was they ordered new pair but would be a couple of weeks more. After using my benefits and HSA money they said I would have to wait at least 7 days to get a refund. After a couple of days, they called and said they were in. This is after waiting a month and half. I will never go back to a LensCrafters and will tell everyone I know to not to either. If what they say at the store is true and they have no access to the lab or knowing where the product is then I want no part. read more

I almost didn't come here bc of the bad reviews but took a chance bc I needed to replace lost glasses quickly. I'm so glad I did, I had a excellent experience. They had a great selection of frames, found some I liked with the help of a knowledgeable and friendly associate. They had my lenses in stock and my new glasses were ready the next day. ( fine print- I got the impression they don't keep a large selection in stock, most need to be ordered) I would definitely go back here. read more

I expect when I pay good money for glasses and I am told I will be sent a text when they are ready not to have to call in to find out they have been ready for quite a while and I got no text. Of course I get the usual sorry which is not good enough. Nowadays if you want to create loyal customers you have to get creative when making it right when you mess up. After calling to find an appointment for my daughter, they said they could take her this afternoon at 4pm. I informed them on the phone that she was four and would that be an issue. They assured me it wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived with my daughter at 3:45, the optometrist informed me that she wasn't comfortable working with children and I needed to go someplace else. It really would have helped if she had communicated that to the people answering the phone. This caused me a wasted trip and the opportunity to find a doctor that actually would have seen my kid today. I've never been treated so unprofessionally in my life. read more

I've been going to this location for about 4 years now and I have never had a bad experience. They are always very attentive and patient in helping you to find the right frames and making sure they will work for you. Customer service is great. If they tell you glasses will be ready by a certain time, they have always been ahead of schedule. In fact one time they shipped them to me and the packaging was so detailed, it felt custom. I go to the eye doctor next door so its very convenient to just stop in here. I can always find frames I like whether for glasses or shades. read more

Won't be back - Went in to get new glasses. Gentleman greeted me and told me to pick out some frames - I asked if we could look up my insurance benefits first so I knew what I could expect out of pocket for frames. He said no - to pick the frames first and then we would look. He kept telling me "all frames are 40% off!" I asked if that was in addition to my benefit allotment, he just repeated "all frames are 40% off!" I asked again to get my benefit info, just so I can mentally budget in my head as we go, and he said no. So I look at frames and have several I've narrowed it down to. I bring my final selection to the desk. He had no opinion on any frame. Every single frame I tried was "oh that looks good." We ended up bringing several other associates into the conversation to narrow it down. He then looks up my frame allowance and tells me what I'd owe out of pocket. I asked about the 40% off and he looked incredibly confused and said "oh yeah" and stares at his screen. Another associate, presumably the manager?, came over and explained that the 40% off is for a second pair. No big deal, I didn't need a second pair. The gentleman continued to tell me what a great deal that is for the second pair. I get it, he had sales goals, but I didn't want or need a second pair. Picked out a frame and was told they would be ready in about a week. Went to pick up and the girl just handed me my glasses and said "there you go!" I had to ask her to adjust the frames, which I have never had to do at any other eye glass store. She couldn't adjust them to fit my face and she said that frame wasn't a good fit with my prescription and it couldn't get smaller. Why on earth didn't anyone mention that when I picked them out? Super disappointing to have spent over $400 out of pocket with frames for frames that aren't adjusted to my face and rotten customer service. read more

The "hour" lab took an hour an a half, one of my lenses was nearly popping out and twice the size of the other, and they scraped my frames trying to do an adjustment that was never completed. While I will be receiving a replacement, I'm upset about the poor quality. I have always received great glasses from other LensCrafters locations.
