I booked an appointment here based on the other 5 star reviews and well, you won't be surprised…read morethat mine is also a 5 star review. When you first walk in, the reception area and frames section are very bright and clean. I love the exposed wooden beams. Everything, including exam room was clean and inviting. It may seem silly but they have an air purifier that was humming and felt like a calming, white noise while you wait for the Dr. I arrived 15 minutes early just in case I needed to do anything extra with checking in since it was my first visit. I had completed the new patient paperwork online ahead of time but gave myself that extra time just in case. Turns out, I didn't need it but no problem. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly while checking me in. My appt was set for 11:30 and at exactly 11:30, Chloe - Optician called me for the initial exams. She was very thorough and detailed every step and what she would be looking for. We had a friendly conversation and then she placed me in a room at about 11:50. I'm giving time stamps to help manage your expectations but of course, every patient may take less or more time depending on your needs and questions. Dr. Kirscht arrived at 12:07 for her part of the exam. She is kind, friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and never made the visit feel rushed. She explained things I had never been told before and truly help my understanding of my vision, eye health, and needs going forward. Once finished there, the receptionist (I apologize I didn't catch her name), escorted me back to the front where she introduced James -Optician to help me select frames and discuss options. James was very kind and friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It's hard to pick out frames when you can't see yourself so I trusted his judgment. He gave great feedback and I found a pair pretty quickly that I loved. I was also able to purchase for $40 a pair of magnetic sunglasses frames for my glasses! I loved that this option was available. He also took time to explain what insurance covered and any out of pocket expenses. A bonus was I am able to pay 50% up front and remainder of balance when I pick up my frames which is a wonderful option for those needing it or just wanting to. I walked out by 12:50! So a little over an hour for everything and that included discussion of a Retina specialist. (Yes, I'm being referred if you read this pray for me ugh!) I've visited two other places in Allen for eye exams. None have been horrible or bad experiences but; I loved the vibe here, the welcoming staff, the clean environment, and the wealth of knowledge they all have in their field of expertise. Out of the 3 - this is by far my favorite. James was not pushy with up-selling nor try to talk me into grandiose frames that cost the most. It felt genuine and honest. I appreciate that. It's easy to see why they continue to receive 5 stars. If you're looking for a vision home - Delta Eye Care is calling!

I have been wearing glasses since I was a child, and contacts since high school, so I kind of know what I like, and I've been to countless eye doctors. She isn't pushy with new or different products, like I've experienced in the past. She is kind, personable, and listens to you. She doesn't rush you out the door either. She also has this amazing camera that takes a picture of your entire eyeball, and she told me that shows so much of what she needs to see on/in your eye, that she rarely dilates. When my mother in law went to her, that machine showed her cataracts clearly. I will never go to another eye doctor while I live in this area.

I'm just stunned at how I was talked to by the front desk lady…read more I came in asking if I could purchase lenses for a pair of frames I already owned. After some back and forth I provided the prescription, paid for the lenses, the girl took measurements for pupillary distance etc. and I left my frames. Said they'd call in about a week whenever they were ready. Great. Within minutes the same girl called and said she had accidentally broken my frames, and she guessed I could come back and get a refund. I was a bit surprised (and disappointed) and asked if they could just void the sale. She says no, you have to physically come back in. Ok... so I drive back with my kids in the car, and a different woman is sitting there. Very abrupt, asks what I need. I said who I was. She smirks and says in a nasty tone: Oh yes, well we're going to be NICE. We're going to be NICE and give you a refund. Stunned, I clarified, they were my frames?? that you all broke? Not even frames I bought here - I'm getting a refund for lenses that can't be delivered now?? (What other option is there but to refund it since the labor and product are not going to be delivered??? Not to mention you all breaking my frames, and not even saying "sorry about that!" ????) However I bit my tongue, not wanting to escalate the situation. The woman looked at me with disdain and sneered: Yes. But It's final sale. (Again, what does that matter if there is no longer a sale?! I'm not returning a product because I'm not satisfied, you BROKE my frames!) The entitlement and attitude this woman had was unbelievable. I have been looking for an in-person eye doctor but I will absolutely not be returning. I would avoid unless you're ok with potentially being treated like crap by the front desk staff.
