Great quality, excellent price. The stuff is very professional and competent. I have been buy my glasses at eyelab for the last 4 years, and they always delivered it. read more

These people have my phone number and text me 9 times a day do not shop here. The messed up my prescription and you never see a licensed optometrist. Stop texting me I put STOP on the text over 100 times. They are a joke f dont ship stanton optical. It is a scam read more

Eye tec didn't clean the eye gear equipment. The doctor had to instruct the tec to wipe down the equipment for eye exam. The 2 for $89 deal was a bait and switch for glasses and lens which ran up to $40 0-$500. Opted for just paying for exam at $89. Wasn't offered to test out prescription in store before leaving with glasses or contacts. Very uncertain if prescription is correct. read more

Amazing Customer Service. Awesome prices, very attentive, great optical. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile read more

Stanton Optical - Nick was awesome very attentive & understanding - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Mckinney, Texas

ZERO STARS. This was worst eye experience of my life. They do virtual exams and did not disclose that information when booking. My appointment was at 10am and I didn't get out of there until 11:30 after they performed a faulty exam that gave the incorrect results for a prescription. What a freaking joke. To top it off my husband had a 10:30 appointment and was never seen. The bald caucasian man was extremely unprofessional. He called my phone harassing me after my insurance card was provided to them multiple times. After calling back he gave me one name and quickly told me a different name. This place has horrible reviews online for a reason and I wish I checked those before deciding to come here. Do yourself a favor and run far away from this place. It's disgraceful how they do business and they should be shut down. read more

Buyer Beware-Bait and Switch! Had an appointment for noon today. Received a call @11:15. Sorry, only 2 pair of lenses left @promotional price. " How about 60% off, $128 per pair. More than 3 times as much. Why wait to call 45 minutes before appointment. How do you sell out of ALL your promotional lenses as that's your most popular lenses. Why not tell customers when booking? Truly despicable business practices. Go to America's Best. No BS!!! read more

This place is FANTASTIC. Needed contact/glasses exam and wanted to get prescription lenses for my sunglasses. Their prices beat anyone online and they are extremely helpful and friendly. There is no crazy upsell or sales pitch. I will never go anywhere else. Nick is an awesome employee! Do not hesitate to go here, they will take care of you!! read more

Today my partner and I went to get new glasses that we urgently needed and it was a very last second appointment before close. Nick was so amazing he worked with us and was kind through the entire process. I have never had such amazing customer service , he stayed until after close hours helping us. Not only will we be going back but we will also recommending our family and friends to this specific location just so they can experience Nick ! Thank you so much Stanton Optical we need more people like Nick please give him a raise ! -Adrian Herrera 09/26/25 read more

Omg! I'd definitely recommend this store. It was different having a virtual eye technician, but Austin explained everything and was there to answer questions. Then while looking at frames we ( me and my aunt ) met Eric. What nice guys. Had fun talking with them. Thank you Austin and Eric, you made our visit fun. read more

They did a great job. The staff were friendly and helpful. I've never done a remote appointment before and at first was a little shocked by this. But the technician who did my eye testing was very patient and helpful. My prescription turned out very well. I also found out that I needed reading glasses....oh well lol. Glad I found out tho. Thanks again Stanton Optical. read more

I have to say it was the most enjoyable experience I've had since being with Eye lab/Stanton optical. Nick performed well above expected and standards. I will most definitely keep doing business with this location.. read more

Beat my insurance, got two glasses. Hatem was professional and helpful. Costco wouldn't give me a same day order and wanted me to pay for another eye exam. read more

Worst customer service we have ever received even after spending over $800. Received the wrong contacts which was not a big deal we went back in to give them back and have the new ones ordered, one member of their staff confronted my self and my children asking who gave us the contacts, I truly thought she was joking because she was the one who gave them to us. She is rude and unprofessional and customer service as well as the owner are a joke addressing it. This lady should never be allowed to work with customers. It wasn't just one person she has done this to either. We were treated so poorly we are moving forward with a lawsuit! Good thing we recorded most of our interactions. Having proof is key to any litigation! I would NEVER recommend this place. read more

I had two pairs of glasses break unexpectedly. Went to the store, and Nick serviced me so quickly that I was in and out with both glasses and left with a great experience. read more

My first appointment was in January, It is now June and my prescription is still not correct. I was dumb enough to even pay for a second exam because I switched locations thinking that would help. there is no corporate customer service available for getting a refund and store says it's not possible in their end....very frustrating. DO NOT USE this company!!!!!! read more

The frames are good. The service below miserable. The salesman knows less about glasses than I do. Didn't fit the frames, Didn't measure where the focal point is. Had no idea when I asked him. I pick up glasses, he hands me the cases. Didnt fit them, nothing. Like buying cheaters at the drugstore. I'm bringing them back, my eyes are too important for this dollar store eyeglass hut. Really disappointed, dont go. Not super cheap either. read more

My name is Alayna Liddell and i booked an eye appointment with staton optical a little bit ago in the middle of October and i received the upmost attention and care. The eye testing process was simple and actually pretty fast. there was a huge variety of beautiful glasses to choose from and the staff was incredibly patient and helpful. My mother even came in that DAY after she heard about the wonderful service. SHOUT OUT to ROMINA she was such a help. She not only assisted me with choosing my personal glasses but helped my family members too. we ALL left with a smile on our face! Thank you stanton optical! read more

This place is a bait and switch flim-flam operation. The eye exam was good but after telling you the exam is free with BOGO purchase of frames and that the exam is $59.00 itself, they then tell you that if you don't like their frame selection, and buy on the spot, they charge you $90.00 for the eye exam, instead of the $59.00 price you signed for. When I called them out on this the manager said the $59.00 didn't apply to their store because it is a franchise store and NOT a corporate store. Classic used car lot approach to sales. By the way, the frames and lenses they priced out for me totaled over a thousand dollars!!! Honestly, such consumer practices are not just illegal but ensure I will never return. So Eye lab franchise, enjoy the $180.00 you scammed from me for an eye exam for my son and me. It will be the last $$ you will see from me. If I could give Zero stars I would but I cannot. read more

I wish I had gone somewhere else. This place is so unorganized. We finally got the exam started just past an hour AFTER our appointment time. Had a free exam with a buy 1 get second frame free and it was still $428 for my daughter's glasses. They told us they'd be in by 2 weeks. It's been 2 weeks and I just called customer service. They said they JUST arrived at their lab and will be shipped back to the store in another week. From all the bad reviews, I just hope they are the right prescription. I should have read the reviews before going. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! Save your money and time by going ANYwhere else. read more

I wished I would have checked Yelp reviews before going. If you've never had an eye exam or already have a prescription I recommend going somewhere else. First time going through eye exam and the experience was not great. Paid almost $400 before being told by a friend that seemed too high. We were a bit confused as there isn't a doctor at the location, it is done through zoom. We ended up going to a different place. After the second exam we were told he doesn't need prescription glasses read more

I have two family members who recently used Stanton Optical for their eye care needs. The service they recieved from Romina was so top notch that I booked a appointment for the same day and I was not disappointed. Romina was very welcoming and kind upon my arrival. She was helpful and highly informative. You can tell she cares for her patients and loves what she does. Even when the store got busy she made sure to help everyone in a timely manner ensuring they're happiness before they departed. The rest of the staff was efficient and helpful. The store was clean, well lit and maintained. Thank you Romina for a great experience! I will be back. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews. They say the exam is free and the glasses are buy one get one free. I ask how much are the glasses and they said "$179" well that's only for the frames. The lenses are 90 plus 50 for insurance and 45 for anti-scratch when it was all totaled it was $500 for two glasses. I was so confused. Then I asked when can we get them and they said 2 or more weeks. I asked why the sign outside said "Glasses made in under 30 minutes" she said "That's if we have the prescription in stock". So I guess they are not made, just assembled -if you're lucky it is in stock. Mine weren't in stock. I should have paid for the zoom exam and gone to Costco. read more

They tested my eyes twice and I still couldn't see. They would not refund my money. I never saw a doctor or had my eyes checked except for a virtual assistant. The worse place I have ever been to have my eyes checked. Save your money and their ads are not correct. It will cost you so much more with hidden costs. read more

I stopped in this store the other night before closing to see if i could get my glasses fixed. Broke the arm of the glasses in the am when cleaning them, and the new store mgr was very professional, friendly, curteous the entire time. He looked to see if the arm could be ordered, but then he replaced it with a sample in the store. I was 100% pleased. Will definetly go back for another pair when insurance allows me to. Great asset to the Stanton store in McKinney! Keep your positive attitude and big smile. It goes a long way in todays world of lackless customer service. read more

So, they offer a "Deal" on progressive glasses, two pair for under $300. After it is all said and done, my bill was $650. I had my eyes examined somewhere else, eyeglasses is the new experience you would have when you bought a car. You get ripped off. They have add On's and tell you the basic stuff isn't that good, you should get this and that. Rip Off, Rip Off!!!!! read more

We honestly ended up at Eyelab by mistake but the service we received was NOT by accident. Thank you Trent and Ms X. for the exceptional and professional service that was given. We will definitely be back and will surely recommend our friends and family to Eyelab (this location) read more

It used to be my eye lab, we continued to go there for 3 years it was always new staff, never saw the same person more than 1 time in 3 years, the service was decent. It's now Stanton went in for the yearly exam. Will not ever return to them. I'm sorry but your concept and complete lack of customer service will not get you any business. Look elsewhere for your eye care needs. Also there is no doctor on staff, it's done via video always a very deep foreign accent which made it difficult to understand and it seems they continue with this concept. I'll spend my insurance elsewhere, that has a live in person doctor. Lots of options don't choose this one. Poor customer service. read more

My boyfriend and his family came here to get glasses since Eyelab takes their insurance and the copay's pretty cheap. I get my eyes checked regularly back at home, and I've been with my eye doctor for 10 years now. I know a good eye place when I see it. And this is not one. It was really weird because the eye exam was done by a doctor through a screen. She wasn't even present!!! And when she was having them choose between "1" or "2," she went so fast. I was like "how do you expect someone to choose when you go so fast?" And how is an eye exam done through a screen with no doctor actually present going to be accurate? I really question the accuracy. The glasses frame selection was pretty bad too. Stuff that looked and felt really expensive was like $30, but then the stuff that was flimsy and looked cheap was $100+. My boyfriend had a really tough time picking one he liked. And I was looking through the women's selection and couldn't find a single one I would wear. What pissed all of us off the most was that they messed up all the copays and pricing for the whole family. While the parents and the two brothers only paid roughly $30 (since insurance covered the rest), my boyfriend was charged $60. But everyone did the exact same thing? When we went back to ask why, we were told that the parents and the brothers were all charged wrongly and that my boyfriend was charged correctly. Which doesn't make any sense because HOW DO YOU MESS UP CHARGING 4 PEOPLE??? So they only charge 1/5 of the people correctly? That's bs. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend going here. Go find a place with a better frame selection and a doctor actually present. read more

Make sure your glasses are correct before leaving this location. Finally got mine correct after contacting a manager and getting a second opinion from another location optometrist one with an actual person. I contacted corporate and they told me my order was delayed by weather . I was told by the person who done my order that I would receive a phone call nope no one called me at all I called myself . Come to find out on the box my glasses had been at this location since December 22,2020 ! Well I have put in a complaint in to Tx Attorney General. I will never ever go back here ever !!! Stay very far away from here .... read more

Took my own frames and new prescription in to the McKinney location in December. Paid for the service of creating and installing new single vision lenses in the frames. Heard nothing and after a month started calling their 800 number. Every week for two months I was told they were "delayed" and someone would call/text when they were ready. In the 3rd month, I went back to the local store and got the manager to check, again told they were delayed. Called that manager every week for 3 more weeks before I FINALLY received my frames and lenses over 4 months later. HORRIBLE service and reps at the 800 number know nothing, and there are no published phone numbers to reach local store. Will NOT return! read more

My experience was great. Since getting my new glasses from Eyelab I have noticed a few changes. Not only can I now see, my hearing is so much better. All my senses have been heightened. Food tastes better, my A1C is lower. I even got lower rates on my car insurance. I have also noticed I am enjoying new genres of music too! I feel like a super hero or a vampire with all my new found abilities. Eyelab is so much more than eye wear! Amazing! read more

MISLEADING- GO SOMEWHERE ELSE There is a lack of transparency as soon as you enter! The 'free' exam is done virtually and there is no physical optometrist at any of their locations (cheap). This was never communicated to me. The 2 for $59.95 promotion is bogus as they only provide you with a limited selection of glasses that are tacky and cheap. FYI- The prescription charges are priced higher and SEPARATELY from any promotions. The employees are inconsiderate and are not willing to listen their customers. Take your business elsewhere- you have been warned. read more

If I could give then negative stars i would. Got two pairs of glasses from them, 1st, they were so expensive it was supposed to be a deal but either way they came out double the price from what I usually pay in other places when I get two pairs. 2nd, for the price I paid one of them broke within a month of having it, and yes it was the most expensive one out of the two that's broke . I took them a couple months later to see if they could fix them but they said they had to order a whole new pair and I would have to pay even though they broke within the month of getting them they didn't value the 30 day policy. Anyways I order it again. Well its been two months and the frames had not gotten here. The lady had told me they would shoot a text when they arrived but either way I kept checking the order status and it said it kept getting delayed. TWO MONTHS ?! For one pair of frames that didn't even have the glass !!??? Something that was supposed to take the longest a week to arrive took two months. Anyways I called the store and the most rude girl answered the phone with such a HORRIBLE attitude. Keep in mind I was not rude to her nor did I tell her anything bad I just simply told her I wanted a refund. Then she proceeded to tell me my fames had gotten there a couple days ago ??!!! OKAY and how am I supposed to know that the frames are there. No text to call no email NOTHING ! I proceeded to tell her I didn't want them anymore I just wanted my money back she then rudely told me I had to call back when I manager was there. Okay then what is your job if you can't even do a simple refund ? Okay well i called back today and as soon as I asked for the manager they were "transferring my call" then they hanged up on me. Its not fair some of us spend hundreds of dollars on their products for them to turn out cheap material & for the people working there to be rude & unprofessional. Management please do better. Such a disappointment. Now I don't have my glasses nor my money back. And the reason why I cannot just go simply pick them up at the store is because I don't even live in the city anymore. read more

Don't bother visiting this place. Virtual eye exams that are very flawed. I went in for glasses and had an eye exam with a "Dr" via a monitor. When my order came in, I went in to pick them up and immediately noticed my vision with them on was horrible, the person working said it will take a couple of days for my eyes to adjust, which never happened. I went back to have the issue fixed and was told they would send them back out to the lab and have them set to my old prescription. It has been 3 weeks since they sent my glasses back to the lab and no one knows what the status is. I'm not sure why my prescription was set back to my old prescription but not very happy with this establishment. I should have stuck with my regular eye doctor, but was just trying to save a little money since I was laid off during this pandemic. Anyway, good luck if you choose to go to this horrible place read more
