When I realized my salesman Daniel was the fellow mentioned multiple times in Yelp reviews and so highly recommended, I had to smile. I was in & out in 48 minutes (with the help of a good friend also). Five days later, I got the call I could pick them up. As I'm in Colorado, That wasn't going to happen. I brought in an Rx for progressive lenses for my wife. The "salesman" entered the information into his iPad and quoted a fair price. I left the frames there and waited for the finished product in 7-10 business days. THEY DID NOT STATE THAT MY WIFE SHOULD BE THERE FOR AN EYE MEASUREMENT FOR THE CENTER OF THE EYE FOR THE PROGRESSIVE LENSES!!! THREE OTHER NEIGHBORHOOD OPTICIANS SAID, YES, THIS IS MANDATORY TO TAKE A PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT BEFORE ORDERING PROGRESSIVE LENSES. The first order was somehow "lost" requiring a remake. The second finished lenses were HORRIBLE and my wife was unable to read with them -- because they had not been measured to determine the center of her eyes. So Lenscrafters sent in a second order for a redo. When they arrived my wife went in again -- and just as with the first -- she was unable to see properly. UNPROFESSIONAL IN SO MANY WAYS. Moved my appointment 40 minutes without telling me- I made an appointment for 1:00 and they told me as long as I would get there before 1:10 I would still be taken, but when I got there nobody checked me in for 10 minutes and then told me I was late. i was then told I couldnt be taken until 1:40 instead, but I had to be somewhere at 2:00. Definitely do not know why I was told I could still be taken before 1:10 and then said all the other appointments would have to come before mine. read more

1. Preliminary exam was with Arlene who was very compassionate and understanding. My son is very sensitive with the "puff" test and Arlene took her time , chatted with my son and put him at ease. 2. Dr.Wojcik, also A+. She is very patient and thorough. She explained every step of the process and was very caring as well. Suggested further testing by an ophthalmologist due to specific conditions she noticed. 3. Jasmine - awesome!!!! She was super patient with picking out the glasses and suggesting the best fit for the lenses my son was getting as well as the best style. She did not rush the process at all and truly made us feel welcome. When I returned to pick up the glasses about 10 days later, I was received with the same warm welcome. I made an appointment here because vision in one of my eyes was blurry. The doctor said I had an astigmatism and gave me a new contact prescription. My vision was blurrier than before so I went to a different eye doctor and they found an infection in my cornea. The doctor at LensCrafters missed the infection and misdiagnosed an astigmatism. Purchased a set of prescription Ray-Bans here. I have always worn contacts - never glasses, so I was a bit lost, as there are so many different options and styles. I worked with Maria, who sat down with me for two hours (and even 30 mins after close) to make sure I picked out the exact frame I wanted. She answered all my questions (and I had A LOT of them) and ensured I'd love my glasses. I came in the next day and placed the order for the pair I wanted. Very easy process. I then received a text 5 days later than my glasses were ready to pick up. Maria helped make sure they fit right, and adjusted them for me. Maria provided absolutely stellar customer service and I will be happy to return back to this location for my glasses needs. I did not have an eye exam done here, as another optometrist is closer to my apartment; however, the glasses available there were way too expensive. I decided to go to LensCrafters instead. LensCrafters is still higher prices than you may find online; however, given my insurance (EyeMed) is owned by Luxxotica and LensCrafters is also owned by Luxxotica, and my new Ray-Bans are also owned by Luxxotica, the pricing and insurance process was very easy. Btw- everything here is owned by Luxxotica (as well as all Ray-Ban, Prada, Gucci, Oakley, etc. glasses). I wouldn't be surprised if the hair cut studio next door was owned by Luxxotica. read more

AVOID THESE SCAMMERS AT ALL COSTS! I've never had such an awkward unappreciative experience as here! The vibe felt so awkward the second I stepped in the store today! (I've been in here before and the people were amazingly nice...but today...not so much. Sorry for causing you all an inconvenience!) A lady greeted me promptly and i explained the situation of how a piece broke off the left arm of the frame. She asked if I bought their "protection scam"...I mean, plan. She looked and I hadn't. She tells me that since I didn't that I would have to buy a whole new $600 frame! Ya think they work on comission yet? I asked if there wasn't any manufacture warranty since I spent $600. She's of course has to go get the manager. Great! I love people who can't answer my questions. The manager comes over and explains that the frame would be $25-$50 on the protection plan, but since i don't have that i would have to pay $600 for a new frame. I said it would be kind of senseless to throw away a whole frame when it just the ARM! He was like, "we don't have parts here". (Well DUH, I didn't assume they did...but the manufacture would more than likely!) Needless to say, I was getting nowhere trying to explain to these idiots that there should be a manufacturer's warranty, and you should be able to send it in and have them replace the arm. Even if it does cost full price for the arm. The sales associate at the beginning (the one that couldn't even answer my basic questions) had the nerve to be like "you want me to see if the frame is available"? I laughed at her and was like "I'm not paying $600 to buy a brand new frame where there is just a chip off the arm of the one I have, that's senseless!" Instead of helping me with the Issue, they continued to tell me since I didn't purchase their "Add On Protection Plan", there was NO warranty to get the glasses fixed or replaced. I came here for a refraction exam because I needed a current prescription in order to get new glasses, and my regular optometrist was fully booked for the month. Whatever they did to measure my prescription at Lenscrafters was completely wrong. The exam itself felt very rushed, and I was not allowed to learn what my new prescription was until after I had paid. Immediately upon opening the envelope containing my supposedly new prescription, I knew that the numbers were very off. I questioned them about the results (which I knew were wrong), and asked to speak to the optometrist again, but the salespeople were intimidating and rude, so I ended up leaving. And they even had the nerve to try to pressure me into buying glasses right there on the spot, despite my vocal insistence that they had measured my prescription incorrectly! After my regular optometrist learned that I was desperate enough to go to Lenscrafters, she managed to squeeze me in later that week--of course, she quickly confirmed my suspicion that Lenscrafters had provided me with an inaccurate prescription. Thank goodness I trusted my instincts and didn't end up purchasing new glasses with Lenscrafter's inaccurate prescription. My optometrist explained that had I done so, then the glasses would have been no good, since the RX was much too strong and the astigmatism components were skewed. My experience at Lenscrafters was a complete and utter waste of $60. I would not recommend Lenscrafters to anyone who needs an accurate vision test. read more

Lenscrafters didn't cover Cigna Vision, & only accepted 2 really obscure insurances I have never heard of - so I will probably be getting any new glasses with a company that does give a me a discount on what I am already paying for... $90 frame & a $270 bill for basic lens... kind of a rip off. Especially as I wanted super dark lens & these were less than what I currently have. I had to go home to see the difference between the two. I'm not happy. read more

I've come here consistently every year for three years now. I can't say that I'm impressed anymore. Last year they were 'working' on getting new floors. Besides that it took months for the renovation, the new floors look terrible. But that's besides the point here... The selection has decreased, the prices have increased and the quality of customer service has just gone downhill. For example, I had a great eye exam with Dr. Park, but part way through my exam, they tried to put another person in the room. I had to argue with the staff to honor a discount from my employer/insurance that was clearly marked in their system. Further, the prices are outrageous and marked up for EVERYTHING. 12 pairs of contacts (toric) now cost $279 + taxes. Finally, the pricing scheme isn't fair to customers. It costs more to replace lenses than to get an entire new pair of frames and lenses. They won't replace one lens if the prescription changes in just one eye. I got sick of hearing "we don't do that here"... Seriously, the changes have been for the worst. In the future I will be finding a new location for my eye care. read more

If your policy is that you do not give out sample contacts, that is 100% fine. I purchased contacts through Lenscrafter which I understand is separate from the location itself. My order was cancelled 2 separate times. As I did acquire my prescription from this location with Dr. Shripster (who is great), I called and asked if it was a possibility to pick up contacts. I was told there were none in stock available for purchase. Key word "purchase". Due to me having to leave out of town, I asked if there was anyway I could pick up samples which I was told on the phone by a gentleman that this would be fine. Ok great. Why is it that upon arrival to pick them out we were met with a policy load down on how this isn't allowed?! Why did you not state that on the phone to begin with? You either offer a service or don't. What you don't do is belittle your customers as if theres a scam going on and then argue about it. Moving forward, DO NOT offer the resolution if you cannot accommodate it. Learn to communicate better amongst your location. Clearly Lenscrafters as a business has a larger issue at whole as their employees have zero hospitality skills and are instilled to fight with the customer. I went here years ago and they had great doctors and a friendly, efficient staff. However, based on my recent experience that has changed. Yesterday, I tried to make an appointment for my daughter. The person who answered the phone was difficult to understand and kept asking me for the same basic information over and over. She eventually passed me to someone else since she wasn't able to schedule an appointment. After I was passed to a guy who managed to schedule an appointment, he started asking me the same questions I just spent over 15 minutes answering with the previous girl. When I told him I already gave the previous girl all those answers, he said he'd get the information from her and hung up. The appointment was scheduled for today. Two hours before my appointment, I realized I never received a confirmation for the appointment I set up yesterday so I called to confirm my appointment. The lady I spoke to said I didn't have an appointment scheduled for me. She apologized for the mix up and said she could get me in 40 minutes after my original appointment. She also told me the girl I spoke to yesterday was new. She had no excuse for why the guy told me he set up an appointment when he didn't. I was irritated but agreed to the new appointment time. Then about 10 minutes later I receive a text with form to fill out before my appointment. The form was asking for all the information I spent over 15 minutes telling the girl yesterday. The parts of the form that were filled out, were filled out incorrectly (switching my daughter's first and last name) and all the detailed information wasn't filled out at all. At this point I have no confidence in their competency and cancelled my appointment. If they can't gather basic information correctly and can't set up a simple appointment, I doubt they can do anything slightly complicated like submitting a claim to my insurance correctly. Here is a novel idea...if you have a new staff member that can't gather information correctly and can't set up appointments, then don't let her answer the phones until she has more training. I would give this place one star based on my most recent experience. The only reason I am giving them three stars is because I have had good experiences in the past. read more

I walked in to the Lenscrafters about ten minutes prior to my appointment time and was promptly greeted by a gentlemen who was loudly chewing on his gum. He handed me a patient form to fill out, which I did while seated in the waiting area. I got up and brought the form back to the counter and handed to a woman who I later found out was named Josephine. She was also sucking on some candy or something and it was also unprofessional (same as the gum chewing.) Before returning back to my seat, I asked if I could find out about the out of pocket cost associated with the exams and in a smart-ass sort of way, she responded that she would tell me everything back in the room. Weird, seeing as I don't want to even go back in the room and start the exam if it's going to cost me an arm and a leg. After asking my question, I went back to my seat. Gum chewer guy and Josephine then proceeded to whisper and laugh behind the counter. I can only imagine that they were laughing about me, but who knows. Josephine took me back into a room and went through the various costs of exams. She asked me which one I wanted to do which was a little strange, given that I usually trust an optometry service to provide recommendations as to whether or not I needed an exam that included an astigmatism assessment. She took my paper I had filled out earlier and started typing stuff into her iPad. She asked me the date - I told her it was the 31st. She asked me questions which I had clearly answered on the paper form I'd filled out. Why was I repeating myself? The eye exam started and she handed me a black utensil to cover my eye which clearly had someone else's makeup on it. Ew. The exam concluded with her and I was brought into a different room. This time, I met with Dr. Klein who talked through everything that was being done in a professional and calm way. Dr. Klein seemed extremely competent and even got my lenses to be sharper than the glasses I'm wearing now (that aren't that old.) I had a great experience with Dr. Klein. I walked back out to the lobby and waited for Josephine to address the final parts of the exam. She showed me the various prices for contacts there. I told her that I wanted to weigh my options, as I may order them through Walgreens. She said "Walgreens doesn't sell contacts!" and kind of laughed at me as though I was dumb. She told me that Walmart does glasses and contacts, but Walgreens doesn't. I squashed that debate by telling her I had a paper slip with a promo code for contacts at Walgreens. For the sake of comparing my options I asked her to find out what the total would be for a 12 pack of biweekly contacts in the brand I wanted. She was attempting to pull this information up, then a phone call came through. She spent about 1.5 min on the phone call, put the person on hold, and resumed helping me. Then the line started beeping repetitively. For a solid three minutes. It got annoying. She picked up the phone again, walked around to somewhere else in the office. Finally, the beeping stopped. She came back again, and then she said okay so your total is $___, how will you be paying (VISA, Mastercard)? GIRLFRIEND - I just wanted a quote for the contacts. I found out the Walgreens option would be much cheaper (like $48 cheaper) so I decided not to buy my contacts there. FYI - they price match for a year of contacts, not 6 months worth of contacts. TLDR: The staff who work here are ridiculously unprofessional and should not chew gum/candy. They also could use some training in guiding their customers to make informed decisions instead of just saying "so what would you like to do today" before listing the options. 5 Star service. Period. From the moment I walked in for the eye exam to the moment I came back 2 weeks later to pick up my glasses. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. I do not remember the eye doctor's name, but she was phenomenal. Answered all my questions and was very professional. I never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for anything. The eye exam visit was quick. I had a unique sitiation and they accomidated me without any problems. I left my glasses in a cab soon after picking them up. I called the next day and they gave me a great discount and I placed my order right then and there. I picked up the second pair about a week later and again, great customer service. If you want loads of frustration, visit this Lenscrafters location. I had an eye exam and received my prescription glasses; within a week, I realized I was having trouble reading in low-light situations. I went back to Lenscrafters and politely explained the problem and told them that I didn't think the prescription was accurate. I received an equally polite response that it appeared that the lab had not followed the optician's directives, they were very sorry, and would redo the glasses at their expense within the hour. That's where the politeness ended. I came back the next day -- 30 hours later -- and no one could locate my glasses. After waiting 20 minutes as they scurried around, I asked to speak directly to the manager. She came out with a scowl on her face and my glasses in her hand. She said they had tried to call me repeatedly to tell me that the lab HAD followed the directives (despite the fact that I was told precisely the opposite) but they could not reach me. I discovered that the phone number they were using was an old one, six years old. I had asked them not once, but twice, to change the number. Nobody did. She then told me in a bored voice that I could come back a THIRD TIME to meet AGAIN with the optician and we could start from scratch. At that point, I did not trust Lenscrafters to get ANYTHING right. I asked for a complete refund and -- the only positive of the experience -- I got one on the spot. I feel they are inept and advise everyone not to go through the same experience I did. read more

My 79-year-old mother had not had an eye exam for some years -- since before she was stricken with dementia and I had to take her to all appointments. She is very frail and has difficulty walking. The entire staff at this LensCrafters was incredibly patient and kind with her, with special praise going to Maria, Gus and Optometrist Meghan Walsh. We got every exam necessary and were given plenty of time. In the end, it was determined that my mother would need cataract surgery eventually, but that she could get along fine with the readers she's been using. So we were given excellent advice and were not pressured to buy glasses. I was shocked at how low the price was, for all the detailed information and care we were given. I cannot recommend the people at this LensCrafters more highly, and will certainly return to them myself whenever I need an eye exam or glasses in the future. read more

It's been 10+ years since I've been to LensCrafters, and I had such a great experience here I am certain I will be back. Here's the thing. I'm TERRIBLE at picking out anything accessory related. Purses, jewelry, and even glasses. I put off buying new glasses because the idea of picking out an accessory that is on my face 24/7 stressed me out. LensCrafters made it a lot less stressful. When I walked in I was immediately greeted. I browsed around a little before being approached by Esther. She was awesome - patient with me and my picky ways (I don't like anything with a hint of gold, I want no bling, I like nice things but if it has a huge brand name logo on it then NO, etc.). Finally we had it narrowed down to 3 pairs, and she not only enlisted the opinion of another guy who works there, she did this cool photo thing, where they basically take a picture of you in your current frames and the contenders and put it all on a screen so you can see for yourself which ones you like better. This idea? Is genius. I then had it narrowed down to 2, and while I made up my mind she got in me in for a quick eye exam. The eye doctor, whose name I did not catch, was equally awesome. When she told me the same thing my ophthalmologist had told me the previous week - that my prescription didn't need to be changed, despite my inability to see anything clearly - she explained why. Apparently when lenses get tiny scratches and simply wear down over time that can affect your vision. She was right - the exact same prescription with some fresh lenses = me being able to see again. Once I was done with the eye exam I made my decision on frames. She told me they would be ready in an hour, but it was getting late so I came back the next day to pick them up. I originally came here to get my contacts prescription updated and to finally get new glasses as my old glasses were pretty far behind my contacts prescription. First I'll talk about my experience getting the glasses: After figuring out my prescription, I was working with one of the floor representatives to pick out which frame and lens type to get. After initially trying to get me to buy the top of the line, super-thin lenses that would have cost me close to $700, I talked them into letting me get the cheapest poly-carbonate/plastic lens type which was only around $150. Little did I know that these lenses would end up being so thick and curved that I could barely see correctly out of them, because everything outside of a small pinpoint range in the middle of the lens was highly distorted. I came back in thinking the prescription was incorrect, but they told me that it was correct, and that the distortion was unavoidable with these type of lenses. I'd either have to pay for the $600-700 lens or stick with the ones I could barely see out of. It would have been nice to know this *before* I made the purchase, because I would have just stuck with my old prescription since the lenses weren't as thick and therefore less distorted. The glasses ended up being a waste of $150 that could have been avoided had they warned me about the thickness of the cheap lenses. I also got my contacts prescription updated at the same time, but because I still had a few months supply, I didn't order new ones at the time of the appointment. They had me try on some new pair of contacts that I've never worn before "just to see if I liked them any better than my current ones." The doctor told me if I didn't like them, I could still order the brand I've been wearing everyday for probably 12 years. Fast-forward to today when I finally needed to order new contacts. After placing the order at 1800 Contacts, I was contacted saying that the doctor prescribed me a different "brand" of contacts from the ones I've always ordered, and this new brand was going to cost twice as much. So I call LensCrafters, and they say there's no way they can change what's written on the prescription unless I come back in and get the doctor's approval for the SAME CONTACTS I'VE BEEN WEARING FOR 12 YEARS. What a joke! The doctor apparently prescribed the trial brand that she said "I might like more" instead of the same brand I've always worn. And no wonder: they cost TWICE as much! Medical profiteering FTW! So now I have to wait until they special order a trial set of my contacts (because apparently they don't keep them in stock), then I have to come back in (for a third time now), put in the same brand of contacts I wear EVERY DAY, just so the doctor can give her thumbs up, and I can go back to 1800 Contacts and place the order again.
