Ok first off, let me say I've been a lens crafters patron for over 20 years. Back when I had excellent insurance coverage with low deductibles and great coverage, I spent on average 500.00 for a pie of glasses. No big deal, I was working and doing well. So I paid it without pain. I retired early at age 62 and was without any insurance. Ordered glasses at LensCrafters as always and paid little attention to price but was woken up fast at the price of glasses!! But, the lens crafters people miraculously reached in the drawer and pulled out coupons and bang! My glasses cost around 500.00. Now I finally turned 65, and have coverage again, immediately went to renew my prescription and get new glasses, guess what the price was for bare minimum glasses? Old style metal frames, no new tech... 579.00!!! Now I'm on fixed income and learning to pay attention to prices so I asked them if they could help out with a manufacturers coupon or something... the junior optician just said .."nope!" So I took my prescription and walked out. Went around the corner to vision quest and the same glasses WITH the bells and whistles cost 300.00! Shame on lens crafters! They lost me forever! Now I must comment that Dr. Beal and his staff in the back were amazing and I will always use them for my yearly checkup! read more

Last Friday, 6/07, I had the best experience with your associate Redell. I hadn't been to the store since the pandemic, so 4 years! Anyway, Redell took his time with me, and was very thorough with answers. While with me, he greeted everyone that walked into the store. I like that. He cares about customer service and he cared about me! I don't find that kind of caring many places these days. Every associate in the store was as welcoming and took the time with their customers. Dr. Steven Gordon .... excellent 'bedside manner" when diagnosing a problem, and making the call for an immediate referral. Handled so well Thanks. Robert was extremely knowledgable in picking the proper size and frames..... tooSk the extra time to be sure sight would be larger and better. And professional in adjusting frames for 'the first time' on the user. Stay away from anyone working there who appears to be new and nervous. Hopefully they have upgraded the rest of the staff to professionals. read more

I want to give more stars but I was initailly blown OFF.. Picture this, I walk in and ask to see some frames in a case. A girl (I know her name, but I won't put it on Yelp) comes up to me and asks if I need to see anything. I tell her yes, and explain what I am looking for. She strangly keeps looking at my ears, shoulders or something else, there is no eye contact here. She then states, "oh, you need more time, " and walks away. I'm standing there confussed, I don't need more time, I need to try on frames. She then walks to the front of the store and is engaged in a personal conversation with another male and female. Seriously, she walked away from a paying customer to conduct personal business. I'm standing there, like "are you kidding me?" This went on for several minutes and she never came back to me. I finally look about the store and made contact with the store manager who was very sweet and accomodating. Thank goodness, she helped me choose frames and rang up my order. If she didn't come out to help me, I would have NEVER spent my money there. On a side note, the glasses are WAY OVERPRICED. The 40%- 50% off sales are a gimmick. There mark up is so high that this discount stiull makes me feel somewhat violated. If I didn't need glasses in a hurry, I would try another place. read more

LensCrafters - Nice selection - Optometrists Near Me - Beachwood, Ohio

While I get my exam elsewhere, I've gotten my glasses at LensCrafters the last few years as their frame location is extensive. This was my first time at this particular location. I did observe the Dr talking with some patients though and he was really personable so I would consider visiting him. The store is in Beachwood mall (top level just outside of Nordstrom). The store was pretty busy with lots of people browsing frames. There are about 4 counters where opticians help fit you with glasses and all were full on a Sunday afternoon. One reason I like buying at LensCrafters is because they let you browse in peace and don't turn it into a pressured sales experience. But when someone noticed I was collection frame options in my hand they did bring me a carrying tray. And if I turned around inquisitively someone was nearby to answer my question on frame type or lens options for a specific frame. After choosing my frames I only had about a 10 minute wait for an optician. Carrie was amazing. She was friendly. She focused completely on me during the interaction and was very patient. Carrie worked the pricing out multiple ways to figure out which discount (AAA, their sale, my coupon, etc) worked best for the frames and lens I wanted to buy. Carrie helped me pick my frames by taking pictures of me and telling me which frames fit me better. I'll be back to LensCrafters next time my Rx changes for sure. read more

While it says store is open at 10am on Saturdays they actually can only do pickup orders only. 11am opens to sales. What a joke. Businesses should be proactively updating their hours and noting this. What a waste of a drive. read more

I had a good experience here the other day. I was assisted by Darion. He was kind, patient, and professional. He helped to get the lens replaced in my eyeglasses and sunglasses. All of the employees I encountered were very nice. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars, the wait to pickup was long due to understaffing. Dr. Beal and his assistant were great. The front desk employees were helpful and nice. I explained to the person assisting me with choosing that my current glasses from there were too large and wanted to avoid having the same issue. She was very friendly and helpful but when I sat down to order I held them up to my current frames and they were the same size. Another employee agreed they were too large for me. After spending the time already looking at their selection I've decided to try elsewhere for my glasses. Very disappointed. I wanted to get glasses and they've lost a sale. read more

On Saturday, November 5, 2016, I was faced with a real dilemma. The right side of my glasses had come apart at the attachment. Wow, was I perplexed! I consulted Yelp and up pops Lens Crafters. Upon arriving there, a happy-faced woman said that she would be glad to help me. Her solution? She would order a new pair of glasses. Lucky me! I returned home, quasi-blind a close distance, my wife and I used Gorilla Glue and the new laser hypoxy and in short order, I was back in business. Hooray, Senior Citizen! This place sold me two pairs of glasses. That's fine. But I needed to return one of the two of them because I needed a more specified type of glasses than the optometrist here prescribed for me. I returned one pair. I needed to change the prescription on the other pair. The customer service here is poor. The individuals I dealt with on the phone did not know how to treat customers--to provide an example: I was told to call back in a half hour when someone who would know how to answer my question would be there. In other words, the right foot has no clue about what the left foot is doing. Nor does it care. The doctor's portion of the office seems to have nothing to do with the glasses' fitting portion of the office. They have nothing to do with them--and want nothing to do with them, and vice-versa. There is an obvious lack of communication acumen here. I will never go here again for glasses. read more

Best exam outcome for me ever with their new system .... no "better now or better now" games ... a couple better nows, but very nice and very different. Was it busy ~~ yes! But worth it. Extremely professional and helpful staff! Dr Beal was informative and not pushy. He helped me save A LOT on my contact lenses by suggesting I could go with a different type (that fit/feel wonderful/the same, YMMV). Quite possibly the fastest eye doctors appointment I have ever had the pleasure of going to. My family has been going to LensCrafters at Beachwood Mall for years. Dr. Beal is incredibly kind and has always demonstrated such professionalism and honesty with us, and we've have entirely positive experiences with nearly all his staff. What drove me to write this review was the amazing customer service I received today when I went in to exchange frames and lenses. The glasses I was exchanging apparently qualified for their 30-day return policy, and the LensCrafters staff helped me to articulate what I didn't like about my glasses and to find a new pair that I am very satisfied with. The new pair is even covered by the 1-year insurance policy I had purchased for my old glasses, which made things even easier. Overall, the staff was kind and unbelievably easy to work with. (On top of that, I was walking in today without an appointment, and the customer service was still exceptional.) read more

They are very Rude and not worthy to go to them, I want to replace my lens because it got scratches. The worker didn't smile or even said hi. And she told me the warranty doesn't cover it and i have to pay almost $300 for a new lens. I knew that she is just rude and doesn't want to work and it's wasting time to tell her manger because they both are same. So i went to Lakewood LensCrafters and the changed id on warranty for $24. read more

I was very impressed by this optometrist. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, paperwork, exam, and ordering contacts. Really liked their new system where you don't have to say "1 or 2" a bunch of times... very efficient. Dr. Beal was also really nice and talked me through everything he was doing which I appreciated. Dr. Thomas Beal's office is just terrible. Over 4 years me and my son have gone here for contacts and eye exams. Tiffany Willis at the front desk is always always rude. I'm pretty sure she doesn't like her job. I called advising I want to order new contacts and explained I had recent blurred vision, dizziness and can see floaters. I ask should have the Dr. take a look. Her response was "it's up to you". She interrupted me while I was speaking several times. I expressed i felt she being rude as usual she said "oh ok". I advised I'd just call Beal to see what he thinks because she wasn't helpful. She said "oh ok, that's up to you". She never said I'll have him give you a call to address your concerns. Dr. Beal called the next day, not apologetic but telling me he never gets complaints about Tiffany. On Yelp there are complaints. I'm taking my business elsewhere! read more

Staff seems to be able to tell you what looks good on you and what stinks. Helpful to have eye doc on staff. He seems to work quickly. Sometimes because of their volume, it's a bit of a wait to get fitted.... But then that's retail, we want you to sell more with less people! Hello! My son broke his glasses deliberately. Fantastic experience! They have the newest technology for the exam itself and I was out in 10 minutes with less than five which looks better questions. They have a decent selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses and their sales are incredible. I actually paid less without using my insurance and taking Advantage of their sales. If you like indifference or to be disregarded and ignored, Lenscrafters at Beachwood Mall gets the top award. The intake person for Dr Beale's office at the Beachwood Mall when I arrived for my 3:15pm appointment said I was not on the schedule. She told me I'd have to wait behind 2 patients since I was not on the schedule. I asked how long would that be and she stated as long as it takes. I then said that Dr Beale had personally booked my appointment the day before. I said then I would cancel and she said fine. Dr Beale returned the call and said he was not in the front too much the day of booking, so no memory or apology from anyone including him, though he did seem to understand my ire. Nice to be that pompous because business is a given at Lenscrafters. Sometimes, even in the absence of words, just the tenor in one's voice and attitude will lose a customer. Nice being young but in my world obliviousness and indifference to the next person turns me away and anyone I know who frequented Lenscrafters. Very costly to Lenscrafters. read more

I went in for a new pair of glasses and wanted to try a different style for a change. I settled on a frame that was a bit on the pricy side but I wanted to give it a go. After I went home and put them on for my husband he right away did not like the style on me. I tried them for a week and after not loving them decided to test their return policy. I called first to confirm that I could return them after reading horrible reviews of people trying to return theirs and I was told "absolutely, just bring the glasses and receipt." Well, I am very happy to report that it was just as easy as they state on their website. The girl that helped me was super nice. I picked out a new frame, she issued a refund for the difference, did my fitting and that was it. I have to admit that I was a bit embarrassed, but, I was honest about why I was returning them for a different frame. She just smiled and said "it's not a problem, we'll have your new ones in about an hour." They did and I'm very happy with them. Well done Lens Crafters employees! Keep up the good work! read more
