Say the word surgery to me and I'm terrified. I went in this morning for the first eye and I tried to remind myself I was suppose to be freaking out but everyone made this experience extremely pleasant that I was completely relaxed. I only remember seeing the very bright light over the operating table and Dr. Pierre saying he was going to start surgery, then I was done. I'm often too picky about a medical doctor and team but this was absolutely FIVE STARS.

My appointment was specifically scheduled for contact lenses, but the front desk could not figure that out, and I did not learn there was an issue until I was already with the doctor. They also did not verify my insurance until I arrived, when most medical offices verify coverage before the appointment. Afterward, I called and left a message with their overseas customer service department because the new eyeglass prescription I received was weaker than my current prescription, and I wanted an explanation. I was told someone would call me back, but no one ever did. I have since visited another Vision center where the staff listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and provided excellent service. The difference in care and customer service was significant.

Dr. Thomas was first class from the beginning all the way through my Lasik eye surgery! I went in…read morefor a consultation and his staff at the desk were very friendly and attentive. They do a series of tests to see if you are a candidate for Lasik and to measure your prescription to see how much your eyes have changed since your last eye doctor appointment. All the tests were standard that you see at your eye doctor and didn't hurt a bit. My eyes were -5, meaning I was near-sighted. I also suffered from astigmatism. Dr. Thomas assured me that my eyes were very healthy and I was a great candidate for the surgery. The consultation was $100 and if you aren't a candidate it is refunded. If you elect to get your surgery through his office, the money is used toward the cost of the surgery. The friendly staff were able to schedule a surgery just 3 days after the exam! I was relieved to see Dr. Thomas was able to answer all of my questions about what to expect at the surgery and the recovery time afterwards. Dr. Thomas called me personally the night before the surgery to see if I had any more questions and how I was feeling leading up to it. The day of the surgery, I was explained in detail how to take care of my eyes and how to use the eye drops prescribed to me.The surgery was a breeze! I didn't feel any pain and it only lasted 20 seconds per eye! Even walking out of the office, I had vision close to 20/20! By that evening, I was seeing crystal clear! Dr. Thomas went above and beyond! He even called me in the evening to see how my recovery was going! After a few hours, I felt like a million bucks! I would recommend Dr. Thomas to all my family and friends and couldn't imagine a better experience! Top notch care! Thank you so much for all the professional staff and facilities!

Dr. Kurland is great! I have a tough prescription and a minor chronic irritation in my eyes. She…read moreworked to find a contact lens that was smaller in diameter so it would fit my eye better and cause less irritation. She also had me switch solutions to make sure my eyes and lenses were staying as clean as possible. Every other eye doctor I had been to just ignored the irritation in my eye--one even told me there was nothing I could do about it. With the new, smaller lenses, I noticed a difference right away (the irritated area got smaller), and even after several months, the difference has been lasting. Dr. Kurland has been practicing for decades, but each time I see her, she has a fresh approach. You can really tell that she enjoys her work! I recommend her without hesitation.
