I waited a week to schedule and appointment, the morning of the appointment was cancelled due to call offs which I understand is beyond the control of the company. The conversation with the person who called me "D" she was very insensitive to my situation did not offer any other help, condescending in her tone. When I then asked Jeff for a supervisor, who's tone was better although sarcastic tone did offer to help and made recommendations yet refused to put a manager on the phone instead sent me back to the insensitive person I spoke to in the first place . As a first time customer this is unacceptable and because seeing is very important in day to day life you would think the employees would understand this . Not only am I out of sight I'll possibly be out of work! Thank you very much to the Employee !!! read more

Series of unfortunate mishaps. I would like to start out saying I agree with most the reviews ; in fact I came here due to the reviews. The sale representatives that helped me were knowledgeable and helpful especially Lisa. However, things just kept going wrong, I will let you judge. My first visit with my duaghter , we picked a clear frame. we were able to pick it up a week later, unfortunately, after a day of wearing it, my daughter developed lumps around her ears and complained about pain. It looked like she was having an allergic reaction. So we went back and thats when we met Lisa. Very knowledgeable, she careful went through all the options : another pair, smaller frame so we don't have to waste the lens on a replacement glasses or a back stub. we exhausted all the other options; the frame , the fit , and the style was not suitable for my daughter. They were kind enough to let's us get another frame after I persistently rejected a replacement frame. Lisa brought out a pink one in the back and my daughter loved it. With Lisa's help we found a more suitable frame for her head size and nose bridge. So this is why I left two stars, I am starting to wonder if that pink pair of glasses was not in a good condition. Here is why. When we got glasses I noticed the side was a bit wonky , the screw was not on tightly. Lisa said she rather leave the glasses a little lose so it wouldn't hurt her when she wears it and just come back each month for adjusting. Great right? So that happened about 2-3 weeks ago! Not even a month , the side with the metal piece snapped off. And I kid you not , my child has never slept with her glasses on or sat on it ... She is nearsighted, her prescription is low , she only puts it on in school to see the board. The metal is not bent or anything it's a clean detachment. The broken pieces looks soldered. These glass were 70 dollars so for it to be that flimsy is questionable. So was this pair new or ?? I don't want to make any assumptions but it's questionable. Anyways, I called them and ask them if the glasses have warranty. I don't know who I spoke with , she just told me . No! There is nothing I can do other than get a replacement glasses. Which is really shocking to me that an eye glass store has no warranty for faulty frames. I would have appreciated if she would at least try to help me and I really wish they didn't push the replacement frames so aggressively. I do not want a replacement pair because I do not like the frames they offer. I am willing to pay extra even if my insurance doesn't cover it, my purpose is to find a pair of glasses for my 5yr old to enjoy wearing and smiles when she wears them without pain or discomfort. And I am not putting my insurance thru them again because it seems like they are more interested in charging my insurance than really listening to their customer's needs. I rolled into Jerold Optical during a really busy lunch hour needing a fast repair for my glasses. Not only were they super quick, but they took it upon themselves to tighten up all the rest of the screws and clean the lenses for me. All told, I was in an out of there in under 15 minutes! Huge selection of frames, super-nice employees, and they've been around for a loooong time. Nothing like an awesome local business with stellar service to put a smile on my face! First of all, the safety of the employees and customers is Jerold Optical's main priority. You have to get buzzed into the establishment. You are immediately greeted by a happy smile at the entrance. Today that was the smile of Jeffrey and sitting next to him was another happy smile coming from Karec. A third gentleman was busy on the phone assisting his client. Jerold is a eyeglasses museum with unlimited designs and colors to choose from. It is very clean and spacious with a comfortable waiting area. The employees are professional and treat you like you are special which you are. If you need an eye exam that is the place to go. If you need glasses that is the place to go. I will never go anywhere else and that is on love because of the way I was treated. Thank you Karec and Jeffrey for making my day so pleasurable and happy. Horrible service! I called two days in a row to to cancel my appointment nobody answer. So when I try to reschedule my appointment, the lady said we can reschedule no show appointment! But she clearly said when I called we must been busy! She's admitted it's their fault but she can't reschedule me appointment! read more

Fantastic service. Great selection of frames, many designers and both regular and sunglasses, and all for a reasonable price. They also help for frames and lenses that aren't theirs. I had a wonderful experience getting a pair adjusted, and will definitely be going back next year for both an eye exam and some new frames! This is the best optometrist and optical place anywhere. They have amazing frames including vintage and hard to find styles. Lisa is a gem who goes out of her way to help you. Their doctor is quick and efficient. I wont even go to local optometrists anymore. I wait until I am playing in cleveland and get all my glasses and contact lenses at jerolds. Super friendly staff (front desk lady and owners daughter who I believe is the owner now). Fixed my dog ate glasses for free! I also got a new pair of glasses (Marc Jacobs) and they were incredibly cheap compared to any corporate store. They have a ton of designer frames that are all very reasonably priced. Lenses are SUPER cheap compared to other stores. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Wouldn't go anywhere else! read more
