I've been in Customer Service all my life, and I can tell you that the receptionist here needs some *serious* training. No greeting, no informing you the doctor is running behind schedule, nothing. We were the only ones in the sitting area, as well. And when I let her know we'd been waiting over half an hour and needed to go now, all she said was, "Ooookay..?" No apology, no offer to reschedule, no friendly goodbye. It was such a strange, disappointing experience. Also, inappropriate music was playing in the waiting area. Not a professional look. Hopefully this was a fluke for the Office, but it was all more than enough to send us elsewhere.

Today, I drove 40 minutes each way, arranged childcare for my 2- and 4-year-old, and arrived on time--only to be told I did not have an appointment. The front desk staff rudely and repeatedly told me that her manager "called and canceled" my appointment on January 6, 2026 at 3:30 PM. I received no phone call, no voicemail, and no written notification. I even checked my phone records through my service provider, which confirm no incoming call at that time. Despite this, the staff member continued to insist that the call was "documented in the system," with no apology and no effort to resolve the situation. This resulted in over 1.5 hours of wasted driving, unnecessary childcare arrangements, and a completely avoidable disruption to my day. Dr. Sika is excellent--but this office's front desk staff and scheduling practices are unprofessional and unreliable. After 24 years as a loyal patient, I will never return to this office. A practice that cancels appointments without actually notifying patients--and then treats them poorly for showing up--is not worthy of anyone's time.

Dr. Bobst himself was personable and quite knowledgeable. The regular optician was not in today and we were hoping to get the ball rolling on new frames for my husband since his glasses are broken. Even in the optician's absence, the staff was able to at least get everything measured so that the optician had his measurements on Monday to order the glasses first thing. It was very helpful and we really appreciated the great customer service in times when it seems like that's the lowest priority for a lot of places. Told her I don't have the contact lens in because I couldn't see up close, she said ok. Fast forward to the Dr. Told him about all I just explained. He said they are multi focus I said I have no idea when I called the technician said they were not. He said let's have a look, I'm like I didn't wear them. I had no idea what this appointment was for, no one told me to wear them. He then laughed at me, like he couldn't believe I didn't wear them to this appointment.
