Great Shopping, well dressed shoppers and exclusive findings. Well, that's what I experienced when I walked in Eye Candy and my mouth started drooling as the merchandise was sweet. Now the store isn't that spacious, but trust me you will instantly see glasses that you have never seen. To start I was warmly welcomed by two well dressed ladies, both wearing amazing glasses that just made their aesthetic pop. Then I saw whom I believed was a physician leaving with awesome glasses that gave character and pizzazz. I scoped out the pair of Cartier glasses that had my interest but decided to purchase a pair of Erker frames. Finally , I have another pair of frames for one of my outfits but, this time a pair that truly fits my face and pupillary distance. Thank you so much Francine for your human kindness and your professionalism. Now, here's what made this establishment exceptional. After being measured, I walked out with my single vision frames completed in approximately 15 minutes. I've never had that happen to me and in today's environment most optical location have eliminated their lab. So, if you want temptation, go here. If you want service, go here. Posting this for both the westlake and lakewood office…read more After a months long saga I finally have a functional pair of glasses. It started out at their Lakewood location when I got my first pair of glasses that broke almost immediately. Fine. We reorder a new pair. I go in 3 weeks later to check in on the contacts. They haven't even reordered the glasses. So we try this again. Get the glasses 4 weeks later but they break again. Request a brand new pair. Have to go to their Westlake office with larger selection. Charge me $50 for a "refitting" despite the fact they sold me crappy glasses. Wait another month for the new glasses. I call the Westlake office a month later and they apparently just came in and "are here for pickup." Go to the Westlake office and find out they are actually at the Lakewood office. At the Lakewood office and they say their opticians are very busy and we will need time to adjust the frames. By this point, my whole afternoon has been shot. I explain to the person that I am pretty frustrated after having been at this for over an hour and if they can get to things quicker. See on the opticians desk that the lady at the front desk messaged her on teams saying I needed a refitting and had a "huge attitude." Some of these things were not their fault. A lot of them are. I will not be coming back next year.

I admit that the wait was rather long to get the glasses, but they called within the expected window and they look and feel great. I also went back within 30 days and got 50% off a third pair so I could have some prescription sunglasses. That time, they did not call and it had been 2 1/2 weeks. I called on Friday, and they said they were in, so I went and got them after work. No biggie. FYI, they don't just give you your prescription to take with you unless you request it (which I did). You should also ask for your PD (pupillary distance) too if you want to order glasses online. Being new to the eyeglass scene I hadn't realized this was a big component of crafting the glasses but after doing some research I found that it was. Overall, very good value (free exam with 2 pairs of good quality, but not overly expensive, glasses). Would recommend.

It took them three attempts and weeks to get the bi focal placement right in the lenses. Final straw was today I broke the arm of my sunglasses..not the frame at all the frame and lenses are perfect I took them up to the store expecting to be able to order and pay for a new arm. It's literally held on by a small screw! I was told somewhat rudely tonight that I'll have to have my lenses put into new frames they don't order parts for glasses. I'm done with this place. Do yourself a favor and go to Warby Parker like I should have. And will in the future.

I don't like the exams, I don't like touching my eyeball, and I don't like inconveniencing people or making their jobs more difficult. I was able to get in with Dr. Fleming. You really could not find a more cool, kind, patient, and wonderful optometrist. She put up with my complaining with good humor, and is just an overall rockstar when it comes to helping her patients. My eyes are kind of weird, so she took the time to try different things when fitting me with contacts. Follow up appointments were timely and easy to get. Went way above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the outcome. Wish all of the optometrists I've had in the past were this good. Thankfully, I've found Dr. Fleming and there's no need to go anywhere else now.

My frames broke after 14 months of wear. I took them back and because they couldn't repair them and…read moredidn't have another pair they popped my lenses out and put them in a "loner" pair so I could see until the next pair came in. I assumed that replacement would be their responsibility because all of the other frames I've worn in the past (from other businesses and brands) lasted four to five years holding up to lens changes etc. I received a message that my replacement frames were in. When I returned to pick them up the woman looked at me and with a condescending voice said "those lenses won't fit your frame." What was I supposed to say to that? They ordered them? Upon inspection we discovered that they ordered the wrong replacement frames. SMH. The condescending woman didn't apologize for being rude, for ordering the wrong pair or inconveniencing me. When I went in to pick them up the second time, they charged me for shipping them. It seemed high for 1 small box; $25, but I felt that I shouldn't have to pay for anything seeing it was a faulty product. But they explained the 12 month warranty was over. First time they mentioned that btw. I paid the 25$ but explained other frames I owned held up and I felt it was a faulty product. Emphasizing that I was just making a point that they ought to consider other manufacturers. I've worn Prada and Oliver Peeples with no issues. The lady shared she would have someone call me. As I was walking out the same condescending person said to the other employee, not once but twice and loud enough for me to hear, "we will need to fill out a form to cover these (the loner pair) at a loss." Duh. I hope you wouldn't try and resell the loner pair frames that I was wearing. But you don't say it out loud in front of the customer like it's their fault. Sheesh. When the person did call me, as they were chewing a mouthful of food, asked if I had a question. I responded I didn't have any questions, that I assumed she was calling me to rectify the problem. Nope. "They stand behind their product" and "they could have charged me for the replacement frames due to the warranty being over" and insinuated that I should be thankful they were only charging for shipping." $25 dollars to ship a pair of glasses. Making me wonder if I paid for the first and second shipping cost. I really didn't have any complaint with the optometrist. She seems knowledgeable and thorough which is why I gave Berris Optical 2 stars rather than 1. However, I believe she is responsible for the staff. Either way, I will not be returning and would not recommend this business.

Some frames aren't made to hold my trifocal and strong prescription lenses. Colleen is very good at explaining my options and helping to find the best frames to fit my face and lenses. My search lead me to Pearle Vision in Westlake. The staff is really down to earth and kind. But the star is Dr. Lam. She is very patient orient. Like I said I've bee glasses for AR least 50 years, she explained every test and result to me. She doesn't talk down she is just so passionate about her job. I didn't purchase glasses so I am not sure about the technicians other the greetings and checking out after my exam. They were great. My prescription hasn't changed enough to need purchasing glasses.
