Mike looked at the frame, took it in the back, and after a few minutes declared them totaled. The good news was, EAV has such a wonderful selection of frames ranging from Budget to Designer Mike was able to find a frame that matched my lenses as well as my budget. I was on way in less than an hour. The bonus was my wife liked the new frames better than the ones she had originally chosen.

I have gone back three times now in the last year and each time it is "obviously my fault":. The first time I went back, I was wearing them wrong down on my nose. The second time I went back, I was wearing them with faulty posture. The third time I went back I was given a new eye exam and told that I needed prism readers. The third time cost $105 for the exam. I am the guy who is wearing the glasses and I know what the problem is with this prescription. It's simply faulty and has been from the get-go. So much for carriage trade opticians. I went in this morning for the first eye and I tried to remind myself I was suppose to be freaking out but everyone made this experience extremely pleasant that I was completely relaxed. The…read morePD measurement was way off and the glasses I ordered online from another company didn't seem right for close up reading. well went into the optical department at the Amherst facility and requested that they check my glasses and she said they matched the prescription perfectly so I asked her to please check my PD distance again and it was way off from the first measurement they gave me on the original prescription. they said there was nothing they could do because I didn't order from them yet they were the ones in error over the bad information on my prescription. after numerous calls to get an audience with the immature manager of the Amherst office and her lies about acceptable ansi tolerance on PD measurement I managed to get to her boss both of them don't understand that the customer is what pays their salary and both of them were in defense mode over the error that the Cleveland eye clinic made and would not take accountability. matter of fact the manager of the manager from Amherst came to the point in my conversation where he said you are no longer a patient at Cleveland eye clinic Is this how you treat a customer who you failed by giving a wrong prescription. You both need more education on customer service and in my opinion both deserve reprimanded for your response and non accountability. I have contacted and requested an audience with the CEO of the whole Cleveland eye clinic and I will share with him my experience with these 2 employees. My friend introduced me who wares prescription glasses, I just like the oversized designer sun ware. When we buy several pairs, sometimes there's some negotiation room. In December most of all the inventory goes half price (not the Cartier). Making an appointment is the way to go, there's a lot of people stopping in and it can get kinda busy sometimes. While the staff and optometrist are friendly they are only as helpful as your pockets are deep…read more I was told they cannot, by law, write a contact prescription for more than one year. I have yet to find any state agency or other eye doctor that can verify that statement. I am only entitled to an exam every two years according to my health care provider so this became an issue. They would not give me a written prescription for my contacts, only the specific lenses the doctor wanted me to have (I am sure they may work for some but both my wife and I had issues with all of the doctors choices). I don't think that they are incompetent, but money is more important than patient health.
