I'm very disappointed with my experience with this store. I purchased an Onirico ON154 frame with…read moreprescription lenses and paid $780 after their discount. The frame alone was priced at over $700, with another $220 for the prescription lenses before the discount. (It was $920 in total). After purchasing, I researched the exact same ON154 model and found European optical retailers selling the frame for around €205. I understand that prices can vary between retailers and countries, but the difference in pricing was significant enough to make me question whether I was charged a fair price. I contacted the store to ask for a reasonable price adjustment because I simply believe the final price should be brought more in line with the actual market value of the exact frame. Unfortunately, Ms. Cathy, who originally sold the glasses was off so I'm currently waiting for her to review the situation and respond. I'm very disappointed that I had to discover this pricing difference only after making the purchase. I strongly recommend that customers research the exact frame and compare prices before purchasing here, especially for higher-priced designer frames.

stay away from all locations of this business!! i have already told so many people to stay away and…read morethe news is spreading!! this business took me for over 1144 dollars on one pair of glasses and not even having them for a year the paint chipped on the end of the ear piece and i had an allergic reaction behind my ear which was very, very painful. we are considering small claims court. this business does not stand behind their own products and luxottica told me i had to deal with the business. because i had an allergic reaction he would not replace with a different frame. according to the state vision board an optical place must replace the frame with different materials meaning a new frame not made with the same materials because eyeglasses are considered durable medical equipment, and medical equipment is not supposed to cause you harm in any way. so in fact i do believe he is going against state boards rules and regulations. i even verified this with another optical business, and i also verified this with my doctor also. save yourself alot of hard aches and please stay away from this place!

Yesterday I went to have a prescription filled from Veterans Hospital, with my work group…read moreinsurance, I get $250.00 for frames. As I was looking for frames I noticed a caucasian women getting fitted with her frame and I noticed the tech asked her if she was paying today and she said no. Yet the tech completed her paperwork and told her that her glasses will be ready in two weeks. a couple of African Americans like myself had the same tech and each of us was told we had to pay half before they could order our glasses. I came home a wrecked my body because it was on my mind how different her attitude changed with the black customers like we wasn't coming back. So this morning I called and got the tech and in a calm voice I brought it to her attentio. Her re was "So you trying to play the RACE card." I told her hell yea because it was obvious." This upset me so much I told her to cancel my order and that I will tell every black customer I see coming there how prejudice the tech is. And advice them to go else where. What makes it so bad my granddaughter told me she didn't have to pay half and she got her glasses in 2 weeks.

Annual eye exam time for the family! This is my second year using VisionWorks and I'm pretty sure…read morewe'll be returning for a 3rd. The ease of scheduling is one thing that stands out. Their website is very user friendly and allowed me to make appointments for the entire family in under 2 minutes. The calendar shows you all times that are available on your selected date, so you can see the options before you make a selection. When we arrived for the appointment, we were greeted and directed to the waiting area. In less than 1 minute, the first person was called back to begin their exam. It was awesome that they were so timely! We were through each exam at the scheduled time! The staff was kind and thorough. We had questions because our insurance changed this year. They were happy to assist. Only one person got new glasses and they arrived in about 4 days.

Yelpers, I went to…read morethis location to schedule an eye exam and the African American eye exam associate was rude and intolerable. Her eyes stayed fixated on the computer when I approached as she indifferently asked if I was paying with insurance. I asked if they take my insurance to which she stated, "oh I've never heard of that". Huh? Aren't you supposed to look it up instead of depending on your memory/ intelligence to decide if it's accepted? I simply asked, "can you look it up"? She begrudgingly asked for my details and then gave me bogus information about other insurance I had used when I last purchased from there. Ma'am, please stop I've never used insurance when purchasing my glasses. She confirmed this fact after asking for my information again. After stating that without insurance the exam would be $130 I decided to try mine. She said, "do you have a card"? I said I know the information, it's called ---, what other information do you need"? She then looked to her coworker to ask her if she can help her tell me what was needed because "she keeps giving me the name". OMG, I was standing right there! I literally asked her what else she needed. I told her coworker never mind after the coworker attempted to explain what the rude employee needed. Visionworks, is this what what your service has come to? Ghetto and rude employees with zero customer service skills? She was mad that I interrupted whatever she was doing on the computer and lost the company probably about $500 in less than five minutes. Great job!! SMH
