When I asked about the refund difference between a simple pair for distance only, they said I wouldn't get any refund because they were 'remaking' the glasses, even though the 2nd pair would be considerably cheaper. So, I returned the original pair for a full $535 refund and will get a pair of glasses elsewhere. The manager didn't blink, she didn't care, didn't try to keep me as a new customer and I walked out happy. I liked the doctor and support staff, but I'm always a bit suspect when the retail optician office sell glasses is inside the eye doctor's office. All of their focuses on makin g money selling glasses, not keeping customers happy.

Anyway, the doctor looks at the paperwork and says "Not sure why we're doing this appointment." Right in front of me, I kept my cool as I wanted a new prescription for her. We were back in the exam room, and I'm trying to explain to the doctor (as I was trying to address his rude comment) why I scheduled this appointment. While I was talking my daughter was answering the questions he quickly cut me off so he could hear her answers. Needless to say he's very rude, the greetings are off-putting and not much communication only between the staff. Erika then proceeded to do measurements for my daughter's new glasses. I called the next day to see if I could order another pair of glasses for her and was told I was not able to with my insurance. Which in the past I was able to buy 1 get 2 free but that might have been that location. I will not go back!

I will admit I had to reschedule first eval appointment to due conflict in work schedules since I'm a business owner, so I call to reschedule and from there my nightmare began.... I scheduled an appointment, got a text to confirm. 3 hours later, a text pops up for a different date and time. I call to ask what was going on and to confirm which date was correct and I was met with rude, condescending responses, their answers kept changing with repeated questions, I was told she needed 3 appointments, then the next person I talked to said no, only 2 appointments needed then acted like the other lady never told me 3 appointments were needed. Did admit their fault but never gave me one apology so All I asked for from that moment on.... Was to stop talking(because the more they spoke the more confused the process became) and to just schedule the appointment. The office manager Kept saying I'm trying to, she is trying to but you..... putting the blame on me... again I said let's get past the point of conversation since you just keep going back into the conflict instead of a resolution just to try to prove your point even after you admitted fault. again please let's agree to disagree and just schedule my 79 year old, mentally handicapped mother in law her appointment....To which I was seriously told at this point, knowing the mistakes were on their scheduling practices that they will not see her at all at this point!!!!!! During my exam (which was very good and thorough, Hartman does a great job) I asked for my pupillary distance so that I could order my glasses online, and my doctor said that I could get my PD taken when checking out up front. I go to check out and ask for my PD, when they tell me that they aren't allowed to give that out. I thought they were joking at first, but they really refused to give me my own medical information. Obviously so that I'm forced to buy glasses through them, which I refuse to do. It appears that if I'm not buying my glasses through them, Clarkson eye care would rather have me get an unreliable measurement on my own. Very disappointed by this. I just want to order a cheap pair of glasses for when contacts aren't an option. If I can help it, I will NOT be returning to Clarkson eye care, as I refuse to support a business that is clearly not in my best interest. You'd think after spending $1000 they would be willing to give me my PD.
