When I asked about the refund difference between a simple pair for distance only, they said I wouldn't get any refund because they were 'remaking' the glasses, even though the 2nd pair would be considerably cheaper. So, I returned the original pair for a full $535 refund and will get a pair of glasses elsewhere. The manager didn't blink, she didn't care, didn't try to keep me as a new customer and I walked out happy. I liked the doctor and support staff, but I'm always a bit suspect when the retail optician office sell glasses is inside the eye doctor's office. All of their focuses on makin g money selling glasses, not keeping customers happy.

Erika listened to my problem from a previous eye doctor. I then spoke to someone who books appointments and made me aware that I have to pay $75 because I was charged an actual appointment even though the last place was unsuccessful of getting a prescription for my daughter. Anyway, the doctor looks at the paperwork and says "Not sure why we're doing this appointment." Right in front of me, I kept my cool as I wanted a new prescription for her. We were back in the exam room, and I'm trying to explain to the doctor (as I was trying to address his rude comment) why I scheduled this appointment. While I was talking my daughter was answering the questions he quickly cut me off so he could hear her answers. Needless to say he's very rude, the greetings are off-putting and not much communication only between the staff. Erika then proceeded to do measurements for my daughter's new glasses. I called the next day to see if I could order another pair of glasses for her and was told I was not able to with my insurance. Which in the past I was able to buy 1 get 2 free but that might have been that location. I will not go back!

It started out at their Lakewood location when I got my first pair of glasses that broke almost immediately. Fine. We reorder a new pair. I go in 3 weeks later to check in on the contacts. They haven't even reordered the glasses. So we try this again. Get the glasses 4 weeks later but they break again. Request a brand new pair. Have to go to their Westlake office with larger selection. Charge me $50 for a "refitting" despite the fact they sold me crappy glasses. Wait another month for the new glasses. I call the Westlake office a month later and they apparently just came in and "are here for pickup." Go to the Westlake office and find out they are actually at the Lakewood office. At the Lakewood office and they say their opticians are very busy and we will need time to adjust the frames. By this point, my whole afternoon has been shot. I explain to the person that I am pretty frustrated after having been at this for over an hour and if they can get to things quicker. See on the opticians desk that the lady at the front desk messaged her on teams saying I needed a refitting and had a "huge attitude." Some of these things were not their fault. A lot of them are. I will not be coming back next year.

In the midst of trying to get a date scheduled, she puts me on hold...for about 5-7 minutes to where she gets back on the phone and says their computer went down and can't schedule my mother in law because of downed computers. I said okay that's fine. When they come back up please just schedule my mother in law your first available appointment no matter when and I would get her there. She says okay no problem. I get no call back, so next day I call back to which I'm told they will not schedule my mother in law and my only option was to be sent to the office manager to know why?!?!? I'm not stupid.... The first call was her putting me on hold to call OPI to figure out what why it was so hard to schedule and I got black balled from scheduling with them.... How insanely unprofessional and actually illegal... HIPPA VIOLATION if I ever saw one... I wasn't even going to be the patient, I am my mother in law's caregiver so I schedule ALL her medical appointments...mind you with no problem! I filed a complaint with the Medical Board. Bunch of caddy, unprofessional people. Wouldn't trust them to do anything... don't go here!
