Erika listened to my problem from a previous eye doctor. I then spoke to someone who books appointments and made me aware that I have to pay $75 because I was charged an actual appointment even though the last place was unsuccessful of getting a prescription for my daughter. Anyway, the doctor looks at the paperwork and says "Not sure why we're doing this appointment." Right in front of me, I kept my cool as I wanted a new prescription for her. We were back in the exam room, and I'm trying to explain to the doctor (as I was trying to address his rude comment) why I scheduled this appointment. While I was talking my daughter was answering the questions he quickly cut me off so he could hear her answers. Needless to say he's very rude, the greetings are off-putting and not much communication only between the staff. Erika then proceeded to do measurements for my daughter's new glasses. I called the next day to see if I could order another pair of glasses for her and was told I was not able to with my insurance. Which in the past I was able to buy 1 get 2 free but that might have been that location. I will not go back!

During my exam (which was very good and thorough, Hartman does a great job) I asked for my pupillary distance so that I could order my glasses online, and my doctor said that I could get my PD taken when checking out up front. I go to check out and ask for my PD, when they tell me that they aren't allowed to give that out. I thought they were joking at first, but they really refused to give me my own medical information. Obviously so that I'm forced to buy glasses through them, which I refuse to do. It appears that if I'm not buying my glasses through them, Clarkson eye care would rather have me get an unreliable measurement on my own. Very disappointed by this. I just want to order a cheap pair of glasses for when contacts aren't an option. If I can help it, I will NOT be returning to Clarkson eye care, as I refuse to support a business that is clearly not in my best interest. You'd think after spending $1000 they would be willing to give me my PD. I was very comfortable here with the doctor when I was getting my prescription for contacts. I think I bought four frames here already over the last few years, and I've been pretty impressed with all of them. Staff is friendly and seemed knowledgeable. The warranty on Walmarts frames is one year and twice I've had to take the frames back and they replaced it no questions. As far as glasses and contact lenses go I'll probably be coming here for quite a while. Enjoy!
