I was told by my ophthalmologist afterwards that he usually steer his patients away from them. Never again!

When I asked about the refund difference between a simple pair for distance only, they said I wouldn't get any refund because they were 'remaking' the glasses, even though the 2nd pair would be considerably cheaper. So, I returned the original pair for a full $535 refund and will get a pair of glasses elsewhere. The manager didn't blink, she didn't care, didn't try to keep me as a new customer and I walked out happy. I liked the doctor and support staff, but I'm always a bit suspect when the retail optician office sell glasses is inside the eye doctor's office. All of their focuses on makin g money selling glasses, not keeping customers happy.

Today I had an exceptionally long wait time, about 45 mins. It didn't seem that busy, so I'm a bit stumped. My eye exam was pretty thorough, the optometrist was nice, but I felt rushed and left hanging. I wasn't exactly told that my visit was done, leaving me feeling kind of puzzled. Maybe it was just me? I also saw a lot of the staff members looking bored and gossiping about other customers, which is a big turn off. (Like, hey, hello? I'm sitting here by the desk/reception area waiting for my appointment, I CAN hear every single word you're saying! That's super unprofessional, bitching about bad customers on the sales floor!) But, I digress... So, meh...it's not the worst place I've ever been to, but certainly not the best. It seems that some of the staff need to brush up on their Do's and Dont's of retail etiquette.The receptionists were really nice though. Would I recommend this place? I suppose, if you don't have super high expectations or you're in a pinch.

I arrived in the room with food bags on the chair and the table. Okay moving on, I was then…read morelectured about diabetes in the eyes (as there was a 20 oz of Mt. Dew sitting on the counter from dinner) I don't drink pop. So I declined the dilation of my eyes, and kept telling me how important is was. I then said "Okay let's do the picture scan." He said no it's okay another time. I told him I'd like to wear contacts for summer but I have dry eyes and he said I can't do contacts. That's funny because other eye doctors have told me to use drops. I then proceeded to the exam part of this, he told me to read the bottom line, I told him I could not see what it said. He said try again. Again I can not read it. So he moves on to another slide. Again read the bottom line, I could not. Some how we concluded the evaluation, and I get my prescription which seems waaaaayyyy over then what I currently have. I did not order a pair of glasses as I want a second opinion. My husband went a week later and he was told he didn't need glasses but only for reading purposes. Well he can't see without glasses so yes he needs them. This new eye doctor does not seem to know what to do..

I went to the office on June, 10,2021 The outcome of the visit, The office person demanded $20.00 before the exam. even though I informed her in front of dr. Ice I had complete Insurance coverage. I gave her a cash twenty-dollar bill Dr. Ice said I Need cataract surgery, which could cost up to $800.00 more per eye because I had Lasik surgery to correct my vision 18 years ago. I was also informed my vision changed but was refused a Rx.for the change. and that I had bleeders in my retina. I did not get a requested copy of her report to this day and neither has my new Ophthalmologist. I went to the Cleveland Clinic Cole eye institute on July 2, 2021, and was told eye surgery was not needed as I only have the beginning of Cataracts. and eye drops could correct my dry eye problem. No bleeders! Thank goodness I went for the second opinion. My Insurance Company has been informed, as will the A.M.A. and B.B.B.
