One of the glasses made my head hurt and she took them back to remake the prescription free of charge which was a complete shock for me from a one location small business and she was super friendly and helpful. All the staff in the store give you 100% attention while you are in there and it feels almost like a royal shopping experience because you get to try on everything you want to try. It was super fancy and it was my first time going there but the one of a kind personal attention is something that I haven't found at warby parker or Costco or perle vision or LensCrafters (who I have been going to for glasses since I was little). These frames are super deluxe and i know they will last me a long long time. They go with all the outfits I own and I'm super happy about them, compliments at least once a day at the minimum and I've been wearing them for three weeks. Good selection, lots of variety, something for everyone. You get the quality you pay for hands down. I would say I'd go again but with these glasses I don't know that I'll ever need new glasses ever !! I love them so much they feel like an extension of myself. They're gorgeous.

I go into to get the exam from the Optometrist for the 1st time and she's flying through the whole exam and I was barely able to get a word in of which I only got part of the information that I already knew but just needed the confirmation. Once that was over, I was instructed to go to the front and wait for someone to go through my options. The weirdest thing happened when I tried to tap to pay. There machine said it was approved but her pad said it didnt go through. Luckly I had another card with me to pay. (JUST BE MINDFUL OF THAT) They act like they dont want to answer questions you may have. I had to explain to the lady upfront that I had a floater situation going on but while I was in the exam room, the optometrist made no mention of that which was weird again. The lady went to the back where the Optometrist was, had a goofy laugh before she came back to tell me the doctor already knew that. WTF? All I heard from her was good, good, everything was good. Was told that the floater was normal although I know better than that. I know its just a start of a disaster waiting to happen later on in life leading to cataracts, glaucoma and/or Macular degeneration issues but they wont tell you that cause its all about the green. Just overall, not too good of experience.

Another top notch exam and great service by Doc, interns and Marylin who are all friendly,…read moreassertive and know their stuff. Had a huge misunderstanding and took it up with BCBS and will be cancelling that shitty insurance as they're contracting as well as with a few other insurance companies that look good on the surface. Not naming names. Doc is the best, he had a sidekick intern as well as office staff there just after COVID. Everyone was super friendly and the new office staff girl was super laid back - the intern explained everything then Doc came in and did his thing. Think of a sporting event - he's there and on the spot. He comes in, does his thing - explains it all and lets the intern go from there. Due to the discrepancy with BCBS I footed the bill myself. He'd also take your old favorite lenses and replace them but remember if the frames are too old (just send pics in and go from there) then you're outta luck. He said about two (2) weeks as they're super busy, sending orders out to labs then other places to get the tints, etc.. Got a call today, end of the day before the holiday. Came in, popped the frames on and everything was perfect. Not sure why people are complaining on here. Doc is one of the top 5 if not top 3 eye docs on the North Shore; and he educates and teaches as well as covers sporting events and all sorts of interesting avenues. Talk about experience, there ya go. In the end I called BCBS today and laid into them. When I'd call to complain initially, they took the insurance complaint against the Doc when it was against BCBS. Called them today and told them to clean up their act, stop the lies and bullshit and drop this so-called claim and listen to the call as everything was documented wrong. BCBS IS horrible.

Mike set up my appt by phone and it was a pleasure to work with him when I got there. Clearly, he likes what he does. I met Dr. Jeannie Xie (pronounced SHAY). She greeted me, got to work and was super awesome during the exam. Took my old optometrist years to get me into contacts and they still kinda sucked, honestly. Dr. Xie asked if I was open to trying a new contact brand, which I was. Glad I said yes, because the Dailies Total 1 were a million times better than my other contacts I had worn for years... when I don't want to wear glasses. I wear a multifocal lens and those can be a pain to fit and the visual field can leave distortions. I tried them for a few days and then returned a 2nd time trying to find that perfect cocktail mix. Dr. Xie was extremely accommodating, once again, listened and worked with me. I left with more samples to mix and match to see which combination will offer the best option. I'm so grateful to her, and their low-pressure sales is amazing too!! Great service, talented optometrist, wonderful staff, clean shop. Color me impressed!

But, surprisingly, SEE does not offer high tech scratch resistant lenses, even with an upcharge. When I asked if the clerk assisting us ever had customers come back in the first few months after purchase complaining about scratched lenses, she said "oh yes", rolled her eyes, laughed, and said the customer must not have been careful enough in taking care of their glasses. At that point, the store manager walked up to interrupt, stating forcefully that SEE does NOT offer a scratch resistant lense or lense coating product. I assured him that I had gotten that message loud and clear. I bought the gorgeous frames, and am getting lenses for them elsewhere.

Each time I call, they are nice and apologetic, telling me they understand it's been a long while since I ordered glasses, and that they would call me back after further research. I have NEVER received a call back explaining what's going on with my paid order. I've asked for a manager to get ahold of me 4x now and nothing. I have also called other locations like Andersonville, and Michigan Ave - and it seems none of the workers have the corporate office phone/email, nor can they direct me to someone of authority who could expedite my aging issue.
