This place is truly great if you need glasses. As we know, glasses can be pricy. I was quoted 300 bucks to replace my glasses at my usual optometrist office. The insurance would not cover it because I only get glasses once every two years. I could not wait to get it covered since I'm pretty much blind and you can only wear contact lenses for so long. I was referred here by a friend. I got my prescription from my optometrist and came here. I'm so glad I did because I saved a lot of money. The selection is great, I selected a pair of Jessica Simpson frames for $69. I was looking to replace my original Kenneth Cole glasses which have a distinct style but they didn't have them. I did find them online and brought the frames to them charging me $55 (includes anti-glare). I highly recommend this place. They are amazing, do an excellent job and are affordable. read more

I'm SO happy I found this place. After comparing prices at Costco, Sears, JC Penny and Lens Crafters this place not only wins in price, but selection and styles. The turn around time was insane too, now my glasses were non-Rx, but they were ready the next day. Recommend to everyone! read more

This is the best hidden secret ever! I have been going here for years. My last purchase was a Vera Wang frame listed in Cosmo magazine for $350. I was able to walk out the door with progressive, poly carb and transitional for under $200. One can find $49-$69 complete for single vision eyewear. Multiple frames to choose from, great customer service and glasses are ready within a week. read more

My sunglasses broke at the hinge. I called Lens 4 Less they said to come right in...in 5 minutes they replaced the frames and I was on my way. They are great and terrific customer service. I highly recommend these guys! read more

I've been getting glasses here for years. Always excellent service and very good prices. I especially like the Transition lens that change color with sunlight. They start out clear but in the sun they darken automatically. Then when you go out of the sun the lenses go back to clear. They have frames that are durable. The prices are low but the lenses and frames last. They don't have a optometrist at their location. They suggest going to Dr. Howard Goldberg at the JC Penny optical location in the Carlsbad mall off highway 78. read more

I rarely write reviews, but I had to give this business the accolade it deserves. I bought a pair of frames elsewhere and got the lenses from Lens 4 Less. Their 1.67 high index lenses with anti-reflective coating (single vision) were even cheaper than Costco (especially since Costco charges a fee for installing lenses in frames from somewhere else), and they were ready in a few days. That's amazing, considering most places I looked into took 1-2 weeks. Customer service was very friendly and helpful. Made the prescription eyeglass-buying experience that much less of a headache. If I'm still living in the Oceanside area, I will be back here for my next pair! read more

I brought my prescription in from my Costco eye exam and they were awesome! Such kind men that helped me and the turnaround time was great! They even used my own Ray Ban frames and the price you truly couldn't beat. I am searching for another pair of frames so plan on heading back in over the weekend. Can't wait to see what they have to offer. Nice selection from what I remember. Job well done! #happycustomer read more

This is the first review I've ever written but this place is so goo that I had to let everyone know. I can't believe all the fun frame styles and the amazing prices. You have to check this place out (unless you like paying hundreds of dollars for your glasses when you can get them for less than $100. read more

This store has great prices and good customer services. I highly recommend this store and specially John to anyone .

Really reasonable prices and a nice frame selection. I was lucky enough to find an Armani frame for a pair of prescription sunglasses and ended up paying less than $80 for them! I've paid far more in the past for cheap-looking non-designer frames, so I was definitely very impressed; overall, I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I have been coming here for years. This is the only place I come to get my glasses at a great price. What so funny is my eye doctor told me about this place and not to buy at the shop he works at.Heck my eye doctor comes here to get his glasses, that should tell you a lot. read more

Lens 4 less was a fantastic experience for me. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Not only were the prices extremely fair but their staff is top of the line. John and Kevin were who I delt with and they gave me great customer care and service that quite frankly is hard to find these days. They explained every part of the glasses to me so by the time I payed I actually felt like I learned something. read more

Quality service. Quality product. I went to LensCrafters to have a new prescription put into my sunglass frames. Rhey wanted $415.00. Lens. 4 Less replaced the lenses for both my sunglasses and regular glasses for less than $300.00. They are perfect. read more

KICK ASS " place That's all that needs to be said. I have been to all the other places and I am back.. U just can not sleep with your eye wear on, that's IT. read more

I cannot rave more about this place. The owners John, his wife Nicole and their family go above and beyond to provide affordable, hand edged lenses. Kevin is knowledgeable, friendly and patient! There's nothing like walking into a place where they know your name, greet you with a smile and doesn't give you a sales pitch. I know who makes my lenses, I know the designer frames are real and have an amazing price tag! I highly recommend this family owned business. Lets keep businesses like this alive and thriving! Thank you guys for all you do! read more

Great customer service. I have a pair of glasses that was missing a screw which holds the lens in place. I walked in and was expecting them to charge me a few bucks to have them take care of my glasses. They took it to the back and returned after a few minutes and told me that I didn't owe them anything. read more

My entire family always find their prices for filling your lens Rx here the very best, turn around time is average to above average, I now live very far { about 40 miles} but love to return to Oceanside to get my deals , and this is one of my stops! read more

Great place to get inexpensive glasses. John treated me well 4 years ago when I lived in oceanside. visiting for the holidays I had some frames that needed new prescription. John helped me out again and even shipped them to me (las vegas) for free. Thanks john! read more

Lens4Less earns 6++ stars out of 5 for all around rating. I am a VERY long-time customer of Lens4Less and have purchased many, many, glasses over the years at both Oceanside and San Marcos locations. Lens4Less is the BEST KEPT SECRET for very HIGH QUALITY frames, lenses, good turnaround time, low prices, and personalized customer service. Do not let the $29 sign facing the traffic on San Marcos Blvd fool you! The signs and decore outside may look dated, but the glasses are not!! Go inside! I have many irreplacable frames purchased here over the years that I can't find anywhere else, and I periodically have had the lenses replaced over the years to match the current prescriptions. There are always plenty of new selections as well! Good luck finding any eyeglass store that can compete with Lens4Less top-notch quality, affordable prices, and outstanding customer service. Miguel will go out of his way to explain the lens options so you can make a great choice. Kids glasses too. I've dropped my glasses so many times and they remain scratch-free- a miracle. They invest in their inventory, quality processing, and in having happy customers (not the exterior of the building). I especially like the variety of lightweight frames and frameless. So light, I forget I'm wearing them. I apologize to the public for not writing this review years ago. Truly an outstanding company. Closed Sunday, so plan accordingly. Home run with bases loaded. You will take pride in your eyeglass wardrobe! read more

I'm visiting in Oceanside and left my glasses in Northern California. I found Lens 4 Less by googling it. I called and was told I could maybe have the glasses later today or tomorrow. When I got there with my prescription, they had my lens in stock and I had new glasses within 10 minutes, at a great price. They were extremely helpful, kind and great to do business with. read more

This place is awesome! Excellent customer service, even though there was only 1 guy in there ( I think his name was Nathan?). Prices beat every where I've looked ( Walmart, Stanton, Eyeglass World), including warranted ( basically lifetime). And they have a great selection of frames for everyone . I was able to get both of my kids ( ages 6 & 9) frames that fit them within 5 minutes! read more

I just got my new glasses in. I have prisms in both eyes and I was at the point that I needed new glasses for reading as well as the distance that I already had. I was debating on getting vision insurance (this place doesn't take insurance), but it ended up being way cheaper to pay for the exam out of pocket (I went to Costco in Vista..I'll leave another review there because my experience was great there), and I was able to get my frames, polycarbonate (I think that's the term for the lighter weight lenses), anti-glare, progressive and prisms in both lenses for under $250! I paid almost $400 at another place WITH insurance the last time! Kevin helped me every step of the way and went above and beyond for me. I hope he gets paid enough that the keep him there! ha ha. I am VERY picky about where I get my glasses from so I was leery - how can a place so inexpensive deliver great quality product and great customer service? Well, they certainly do! I'll be back with my family for their frames for sure! read more

Have been to both locations and have had great service. Prices are always the best... I shop them every time I get glasses.

Love this place Kevin was awesome he helped me out tremendously, made the experience easy and painless and the prices soooo affordable

Only place I will buy glasses! I've bought multiple pairs from here. Absolutely the most affordable with the quality. The selection is great and the staff is what makes it. Took a pair of sunglasses here and he replaced the lenses as an extra. They also get your RX glasses done in a timely fashion. Don't take your chances anywhere else. This place is the only way to go. read more

Lens 4 Less Oceanside I have been wearing glasses for over 45 years. No glory, just to tell that I have a lot of experience with the matter. Lens 4 less Oceanside: what an experience! The good first: the prices are really good, and the frame is for free. In my case $145 for a pair of progressive lens. Then the bad, customer service non-existent, it took 10 days to get my glasses ready. The correction and the centering was accurate which is good. The curvature of the lens reminds me the lens we had 20 years ago. State of the art lens are much flatter. The protective coating is also subpar, and makes the driving by night unpleasant, and requires a lot of cleaning as dust, water and sweat easily stay on the lens. Then the worse: the scratch protection is totally inefficient. After a few weeks (3) I had deep scratches on both lens, where I kept my previous lens (2 pairs + sunglasses) virtually scratch free for 3 year. I checked the matter with the manager of the store. I had the feeling to be taken for an idiot, with arguments like "these glasses are perfectly fine: you can't scratch them with a nail!". Eventually the manager agreed to put my old glasses back on the frame and to give me my money back. It's been 10 days. No news, no money back, no one answers the phone... Often cheap is too expensive! read more

Kevin was incredibly helpful when I came in to pick out a new pair of glasses. I ended up buying a pair of Ray-Bans, but as I was looking around he was nice enough to show me a few alternative, lower-priced options. The prices were great, the service was phenomenal, and the overall experience was one that will keep me coming back to this place whenever I need new glasses. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for a new pair of glasses. read more

Needed a RX insert for Smith Pivlock sunglasses part ODS 2. Turns out that it is discontinued but a reputable optician can make the lenses to fit the frame. Costco Optical Carlsbad recommended these guys. Wow am I impressed. Talked w/ Kevin and John on the phone. They totally understood what I needed. Quoted me a very reasonable price over the phone. Since it was not convenient for me to drive to Oceanside I mailed my insert frame w/ old lenses to them and 1 1/2 weeks later I received the new lenses in the frame. Perfect! Will recommend to other skiers and bikers and will deal with them again in the future. read more

John is very knowledgeable and friendly. Both my wife and I will always get our glasses from Lens 4 Less. There are plenty of choices for frames, the prices are fantastic, and overall a quick and pleasant experience. I had always gotten my frames from my eye doctor, and now I realize that I was paying WAY too much for frames. Not any more! You need to get your glasses here. read more

I have been buying my glasses from John for many years, and referring friends. His prices are better than you will probably find anywhere else.
