I'm not sure what the secret is, but this is consistently the best coffee I've had anywhere in the world. Friendly staff, cute space with great outdoor seating. A real gem. read more

Fairly good chai tea latte and cute little spot with alternative milks and local coffee. Hope to come back at my next visit to try their espresso drinks! read more

I live in town and used to frequent Lenox Coffee often. The coffee and pastries are very good and I always enjoy the space. What makes it a place I won't return to is the level of indifference and self-righteousness of the staff. I'm a bother to them and apparently don't approach the level of their highly evolved being to warrant any level of pleasantry. There are lots of places I can spend $3 on a cup of coffee...just not here any more. read more

The worst customer service EVER. I ordered two decaf iced coffees for my daughter and I. We got one decaf and the other with caffeine. Asked them to redo the order but the man at the counter said it was my fault because I didn't catch the mistake when they repeated the order back to me. Said I could order another one and that he would charge me. He was condescending and lacked any level of customer service. I had to throw the coffee away. Save your money and get coffee somewhere else. read more

Lenox Coffee - A nice cup of their coffee of the day - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Lenox, Massachusetts

After a dreadful excuse for coffee at one of the other small spots in town, I was afraid I'd be out of luck for the weekend. Due to poorly-planned navigation and parking, Steve-o and I stumbled on Lenox Coffee during a last minute gift card search and plane-catching exercise. We put the mission critical activities on hold for ten minutes to wait in line for espresso and chai and were excessively glad we did. I'm a bit wary of saying so, but am going to lay down the claim that my soy capp rivaled the best of San Francisco. It was also a cozy-looking spot to hang out - just a little house! If I had had the time, I would have definitely come back with a laptop or book. read more

Lenox Coffee is one of my two favorite coffee places in the Berks. Many people use the Barrington Roasting Company's beans, but Lenox Cafe and Rubi's in Great Barrington seem to know how to coax the best, tastiest, richest espressos from them. DELICIOUS. Easy, simple, basic cafe...free wifi to work or surf...music that's nice and not too loud...friendly baristas. If it weren't 35 minutes away from my house I'd be there daily! read more

Found this place using the 'what's hot nearby' feature on my mobile Yelp App. I'd driven 3 hours from Boston without a GOOD cup of coffee and was hoping to stumble across the BEST that the Berkshires had to offer for coffee. I think I succeeded. Had a 'filter-blend' coffee and a pecan crusted coffee roll. I asked the person behind the counter for advice on which pastry to get...I hardly ever afford myself that much sugar and caloric content and wanted the best bang for my 'bad-for-you' food buck. I was confidently directed away from the plain croissant to the pecan crusted coffee roll. CORRECTO, delizioso! There are plenty of indoor tables, free wi-fi, a HUGE selection of reading material of interest - cool books and mags, a large area of outdoor eating both on their wrap around porch and on the pavement in front of the store. Bathroom is clean, employees friendly and knowledgeable even with a line out the door! I'll be back! read more

The go to place in Lenox to get your caffeine fix. Using Barrington Coffee for your product, you can't go wrong. Coffee is always strong and hot. Prices are very reasonable for a coffee shop. They carry a lot of magazines and newspapers for easy reading while enjoying your expertly made drink. Service is always quick and friendly. If you do have to wait in line, they have postings of all the events taking place in the area. read more

A week in the Berkshires for musical reasons shouldn't require survival on lame hotel or Tanglewood coffee. Thank God for Lenox Coffee, where I can get a foamy au lait while I cram in score study and fuel up for rehearsal. And --what-- it's cheap, too? With new-and-improved free WiFi?And yummy looking pastries? Can I get an "amen?" Western Mass never had it so good. read more

Very competent espresso beverages in a great relaxing setting. Lenox Coffee is located in a free-standing structure with indoor seating and a great porch. The building is set back from Main St and Housatonic (!) St, almost in the middle of the block. Visited twice and had very respectable cappuccino and a very nice espresso macchiato. Talented barista; serious coffee. Good sweets too. I don't think they have other food. Coffee by nearby roaster Barrington Coffee. read more

Great little place. Sweet and friendly baristas. The Cinnamon Rose pastry is delicious. Nice eclectic selection of music playing. Free WIFI. I wish that soy was a bit cheaper of an option (75 cents extra). Coffee was good though. Seating inside and on the porch outside. Hard to find, I almost missed the place while walking around because it is in a house set off the street a ways. But worth looking for! As I have gone back more times, I find that the baristas range from really sweet and friendly to somewhat indifferent depending on which group is working there. I still like the place and I'm not changing my star rating but just a heads up about the employee situation. read more

It was a cool but pleasant morning, just the right conditions for a nice cup of hot chocolate. So, we strolled over to Lenox Coffee in search for a nice gulp. When the cup popped up over the counter, I eagerly studied the elegant milk design on the top. Because of this work of art, trying not to spill any cocoa became my next tough objective. It was hard, since the cup was filled to the brim. But I made it to the table, taking my first sip. It was frothy at the top, just the way I like it, but the milk below the froth was not hot enough for my taste. Therefore, I'm reluctant to call it Hot Chocolate, only Warm Chocolate. However, after I had neared the bottom of the cup, the cocoa began to get warmer, ending with a final hot, tasty swallow. read more

Great place... the only negative is that they have a gluten free muffin that is sitting in with all the other wheat-based pastries. I didn't bother to ask if they were prepared and cooked separately. If you are gluten sensitive, maybe it's ok, but if you have celiac, it's not an option. Outstanding coffee selection though! read more

Huge treat to get a beautiful cappuccino in a real cup, along with a delicious gluten free morning glory muffin.

Coffee was good quality. Not the best I've had but still had good flavor. The only issue I really had was that the lady at the register had a terrible attitude. That alone made me want to go elsewhere but like I said, if you're looking for a solid cup of coffee, this isn't a bad choice read more

Still open with excellent, strong coffee and nice ambience.

Bitter espresso. Pastries oily and rancid. Atmosphere's good. Never crowded. If you like Starbucks bitter coffee in a pleasant setting, this is not bad. The muffins and cinnamon rolls were inedible. The scones were decent. Not worth a trip for me. read more

Best cappuccino in the Berkshires! Ryan has been serving up the best coffee drinks for many years and the rest of the staff is also experienced top notch Baristas. The atmosphere is laid back and vey Berkshires. My optimal experience is sitting outside during the warmer months and taking in the whole Lenox scene with a creamy cappuccino. read more

Coffee was great. People who work there however need to learn how to smile a little more and be more pleasant with customers. Went on two separate occasions and had two different people behind the counter serve us this weekend and both had a dour attitude. It was almost like we were an inconvenience because we were not locals. Never again. Lots of other wonderful places in Lenox that we can go to get a cup of coffee and muffin and be served with a smile. read more

Would not recommend! Ordered a Chai latte this morning and got steamed milk. Not to mention the rude service. If you can, find somewhere else to get coffee. read more

I'll say what's been said before about the service it's awful, personally I don't care if someone smiles or doesn't but you being there isn't a favor to the customer please act like you're at your place of employment...where they pay you to be. Coffee isn't anything to be impressed by. Will not return read more

Tried once upon visiting Lenox. Cute place, but for whatever reason - woman at the register was rude and unwelcoming and that's after I left a tip. Not coming back. read more

Most importantly, they serve really great, strong coffee and amazing pastries. There aren't many tables inside, so on cold or rainy days it can get crowded inside. But the atmosphere is very friendly and you get the feeling that this is one of the main meeting places of the community. Lots of folks are catching each other up on their lives, planning events and running into neighbors here. It's the kind of place every town needs. read more

To be fair, I ordered herbal tea here, so this review has nothing to do with coffee and everything to do with the abhorrent lack of customer service. I ordered a LARGE tea for $2.71, $.70 more than the small, and received a large cup with one tea bag. Um, ok, thanks for charging an extra .70 for water. When I asked the "barista" for another bag, common practice for larger sized ounces of tea drinks, the "barista" blew me off and said the girl at the register would assist. Once said cashier came over, completely dazed and confused, the "barista" took over and with a very snide tone expressed that they only serve one tea bag in the large cup and that the cashier did me a "favor" by giving me an extra large cup. Thanks for the super weak tea, Lennox Coffee. To the owners, I encourage you to have a talk about minimal customer service with staff. The two staff members today need some serious improvement. read more

Okay, the coffee is good....but I could do without the attitude. Would it hurt to smile when you take my order? Also - I might not be a local but I've been visiting Lenox for 30 years and don't like to be treated like someone who doesn't matter because I'm just passing through. read more

Quant little coffee shop in a nice little town center area. This street is all bars, shops, restaurants, boutiques etc. This is usually a bustling area although I stopped in after labor day and it was a ghost town. The shop is tiny but clean and nice inside. The clerk was polite and friendly. I ordered the only size iced coffee they offered, it couldn't have been more than 12 oz. It was tiny, subtract the ice and it was as shot of coffee. You add your own sugar and milk which is fine, although I had to ask where it was located. I also ordered a lemon poppyseed muffin from the sparse food selection. It was okay, but certainly not anything memorable. I know everything in the Berkshires costs more, especially in a town like Lenox. It must be challenging to run a practically seasonal business and I appreciate the small business grind. The coffee and muffin I had were fine, but the almost $8 I paid and the tiny coffee was disappointing. I won't hesitate to stop in again, but wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

One of the best places for coffee and espresso drinks in the Berkshires.

I am sad to say shame on the owner of this establishment for not properly training employees during this difficult period; shame on the owner for their employee's medical discrimination against longtime customers with medical conditions who are not required to wear masks. In the past employees of Lenox Coffee were always polite until midday yesterday 7-17-20. The current employees with their sour faces need to be trained on how to convey current policies to customers cheerfully, respectfully and politely rather than rudely and violently. Commanding customers as though they were their sergeant in a Nazi boot camp to obey their directives is absurd. The immature girl employee at the window sporting a condescending attitude as she tells a customer more than twice her age she is lying about previous experiences where the customer was served at the window is insane. Then a big guy coworker coming to her aide violently toward the customer and in a threatening manner slamming the order window in the customers face is harassment on an extraordinary level. The immature girl at the window was arrogant and her male worker was violent. There is no excuse for this behavior. I suggest the tables are removed from the front of the entrance where people have to walk by unmasked customers drinking their coffee if masks and social distancing are so critical that the owner is willing to lose customers over their employee's violent behavior. Maybe your employees are able to tell the so called virus to go on hold while their customers drink their coffee. Paranoia lowers the immune system. read more

I don't get here often, but here is where I've had the best espresso anywhere, and I'm the world's fussiest espresso drinker, and know where to get the good stuff from P'town to the Cigarette triangle of NC (raleigh-durham-chapel hill). The stuff here is like a symphony going off in your mouth. Jenna, one of the baristas, is super dedicated to making it just right, as I suspect the others are. This is also a very pleasant place to hang out, just across the small parking lot from an amazing yarn shop. read more

I don't like to give bad reviews, especially when I didn't even try anything, but it is 2012 and this shop does not have a web site, nor was I able to find hours posted anywhere online. After driving a ways to get what I thought may be decent late night coffee I was sadly greeted by locked doors at 7pm. I only give this rating as a suggestion to this shop to post hours somewhere online or even better get your very own website. I may try again in the morning, but I am not sure I remember what the little piece of paper in the window said for opening times, oh well. Vacationers like things to be open later than suburban mom shopping hours. read more

After long day of travelling was in need of caffeine. Went here based on good reviews. Ordered coffee, espresso and cappuccino. Coffee was fine but both the espresso and cappuccino were the worst wife and I ever had. First time ever I actually thought about returning the espresso and instead change it to regular coffee. Over extracted and extremely sour, forced myself to drink some but had to throw out more than half, undrinkable... and I take my coffee/espresso black so I can handle strong flavor! Wife didnt finish her cappuccino either. If u go stick w regular coffee. read more
