i purchased a car there which within 24 hours of driving off the lot started displaying a warning light. The car has been in the shop for the past week. They have no idea when they will have the issue fixed. I have had to return to the dealership twice because they required me to exchange the loaner car they had given me. After I requested getting my car I traded in back and returning the car they sold me which is still in the shop Fritz Piatt the manager offered to let me have my car back for approximately $7000 less than I had paid them when I traded my car in a week ago. Seriously can not believe this is even legal. Absolutely horrible experience at this dealership. DO NOT BUY a car from this dealership!!! read more

An older lady with an accent who wouldn't give up her name at the front desk was super rude and was not helpful by any means.. she was super unprofessional and completely misunderstood everything I was asking for. It sounded like she did not know a thing about a thing. I hung up because I was not going to tolerate anyone's attitude. She then called me back 3 times to continue arguing from +1 (919) 469-2699 . I will not tolerate attitudes from anyone, sorry not sorry. She's supposed to provide a service, not demands. Purchased my car about 2 months ago from Leith Porsche in Cary. The sales process was easy and a pleasant experience - so my low rating is not in reflection of the sales staff but the management and service department. 2 months after buying my car it wouldn't start after I tried numerous things. I called Porsche and was essentially told by Cedric that it's "not our problem anymore". He offered no help, no guidance and no customer service. My issue is that I bought this car 2 months ago and already am running into issues and that should not be the case. It's not like it's been 2 years and I was calling back with these issues. At the minimum I expected some suggestions on what to do, but no. So, buyer BEWARE they will hard sell you and then act like they never met you after you drive off the lot. read more

When I write reviews, I tend to get carried away so if you want the Cliff's Notes version, just scroll down to the last paragraph. Shopping for a Certified Pre-Owned low-mileage Porsche 911 S (991 body style) takes patience and is not like shopping for a pre-owned BMW or Mercedes-Benz -- where the availability and choices are orders of magnitude more. In my quest to buy my mid-life crisis car, I was very particular in the options I had to minimally have, the exterior and interior colors, the price, and last but not least, the mileage. Moreover, Porsche 911 annual production figures is quite low compared to more heavily produced cars like BMW, MB, Lexus, Acura, etc. On average, each California Porsche dealership had 2-3 pre-owned 911S's in the 991 body style to choose from and from that list, most did not fit my criteria (usually, they all had more miles than I wanted). I decided not to limit myself and started searching all over the U.S. (even then, the pool of cars was limited. After weeks of searching, one of my saved search queries on one of the car sites yielded a new listing posted only an hour prior to my search. This was a posting from Leith Porsche in Cary, NC and the car had almost everything I wanted, low 10k miles, and was in a less common color (aqua blue metallic). The listing was so new, they didn't even take pictures of the car yet as they just got it in as a trade-in from a customer that bought the car new 3 years prior from their dealership. I headed over to their website in hopes I could find some photos but none were available on their website either. Later that evening, I submitted my contact info through their website, indicating I was interested in that particular car and that I wanted to see some photos of it. The next morning, I was contacted by Phillip Marquis who sent me clear photos he personally took of the car from his phone since the dealership photos hadn't been done yet. Following the photos, Philip patiently answered all the questions I had over the phone about the car, the process of buying a car in NC and shipping it to CA, financing, etc. Since I was not local, we worked out all the details over the phone, email, and text messages until I felt comfortable enough to fly out to Raleigh, NC. With a $1,000 credit card deposit and purchase agreement, the car was held for me and I flew out there. The Leith Porsche dealership was very easy to find, nested alongside a few other dealerships. Upon arrival from my red-eye flight, I was greeted by the very friendly Philip Marquis, who led me to the refreshment area as I was in need of coffee. He then showed me the car and went over other details with me. I liked it. The condition was just as he described it to me over the phone. I then worked with Alex Wilson for the financing and paperwork. Before I flew to NC, I got myself approved for a pre-owned car loan through my bank (Bank of America) for 2.49% 60 months. Alex was able to get me financed for 2.29% for the same 60 month period through my bank. Fascinating. 2.29% for a used car for 60 months! (YMMV, of course -- my credit score was 830 at the time). Anyhow, Alex was very professional as well. After everything was completed, Philip made arrangements with the auto transportation broker the dealership uses exclusively. At my request and expense, Philip also arranged installation of a front end clear bra with the guy Leith Porsche uses for all their cars/customers that want to protect their cars from rock chips. Between the time I left to the time I received the car, Philip has kept in contact with me to ensure everything was going smoothly. He was reachable on his cell phone whether he was at the dealership or during off hours. He really cares about his customers. Overall, I had a great experience with my car purchase. I've purchased a number of Mercedes and BMWs over the years but this was my first Porsche and the experience was top notch. I won't hesitate to contact Philip Marquis at Leith Porsche in the future when the next generation 911 comes out. BTW, the 911S is an absolutely amazing car to drive... plenty of power on tap and it handles like no car I've ever driven before. read more

Great Sales, Sloppy Service: I Purchased my Cayman S from Robert Brooks. He was easy to work with and made a great effort to fix and accommodate all of the small issues with my soon to be used vehicle. Promises were made and most kept. All good up to that part. My issue was the quality of service done, I'm unable to attach photos to this panel. Issue: I was delivered the car with a broken mirror interior housing that was clearly detached due to a broken clip that service broke attempting to fix a vibration coming from the pillar and not the mirror, upon confronting the service advisor, I was instructed to speak to my sales person even though he was NOT responsible for this damage. after getting the service manager (Mike) involved, he told me they'd fix it. and after working with my schedule (Thank you for that) and providing a loaner, the car was returned to me with new seal and trim that was not sitting flush with the car, the other door was completely flush, I believe this was either the wrong part or wrong install. I asked Robert and he tried to convince me that it was supposed to be hanging off the door, obviously not true. I checked other vehicles of the same make and model, where not a single one was hanging off. I chose not to argue with him due to the number of issues I've had with this service department. Conclusion, I will no longer be visiting this dealership, as the workmanship is not detailed and they consciously deliver unfinished work to customers and try to convince them it's supposed to be this way. Good fortune smiled and about 3 weeks ago I found what I was looking for with the Porsche SearchAgent tool in the price range I wanted and under the conditions I wanted (the tool filters worked perfectly, entered the actual 911 models I was willing to consider and went down the list until finding two good candidates - the first one was sold during inquiries - the second was locked in early. The challenge - the car was in North Carolina near Raleigh at Leith Porsche (http://www.leithporsche.com/reviews.html), I live near Orlando but travel to Raleigh occasionally for work. The Porsche search tool shared my contact and Robert Brooks at Leith contacted me within the day. Robert answered all my questions over the phone, email and text messages. My job was keeping me busier than usual with overseas trips over those 3 weeks and making it impossible for me to visit the dealer early in the process. We even made arrangements to pick up the car a week ago and my flights back from overseas ran into delays and cancellations. Through all Robert and Leith were more than patient and accommodating. So yesterday was the day. Free from work obligations and other impediments, I took a short early flight to Raleigh (thank you Southwest!). I have only positive things to say about Leith Porsche, and more specifically about Robert Brooks, the salesman who recently helped me with the purchase of a new Macan S. I did not really expect to purchase a car from Leith when I first visited the dealership. My main purpose was to test-drive a few vehicles, just to make sure that I was not missing anything in my consideration set (I was considering mainly BMWs and Audis at the time). I did tell this to Robert when I first got there. Despite the low probability that a sale would materialize, Robert seemed to be more than happy to walk me through the various models of (and options for) the two cars I was curious about: the Macan and the Panamera. I was immediately struck by how well he knew these (and other related) vehicles and, most importantly, by the fact that he was not using a "sales pitch" of the kind that one experiences at most other (Porsche and other) dealerships. Instead, he restricted his comments to precise facts and accurate figures about the Macan and Panamera, without putting down any other car that I was considering at the time. In short, I never felt rushed, pushed, or lied to, and his "sales pitch" was essentially the absence of one. In fact, this first experience is probably what led me then to start considering the purchase of a Macan at all (that and the fact that I really liked the test drive!). Because the Macan was in short supply in North Carolina at the time, Leith did not have the exact model (the Macan S) that I was interested in and so I could not test-drive it during my first visit. Robert told me that they were expecting to receive one a week later and that he would call me as soon as it arrived. At that point, I proceeded to call a few other dealerships in NC to see if they had one that I would be able to test-drive. In all cases, the response I got was more similar to the "pushy" car-buying experience that I hate. Low and behold, Robert called me only two days later saying that the car had arrived earlier than expected and that he would be happy to let me test-drive it (the other dealerships were telling me that they had no idea when a Macan S would arrive, and one even told me that the one Macan S they had was only to be test-driven by regular customers!). So I proceeded to test-drive the Macan S, which I really liked. The problem? The model they had did not come with the exact set of options that I wanted. Still, because of the short supply and the long wait in getting these cars after ordering, I was seriously considering buying the one they had. Again, I was very impressed by the fact that Robert did not even try to push me one way or the other, something that could have been tempting in this situation (after all, a sale is a sale). Instead, Robert's demeanor was telling me that he was more concerned by me feeling satisfied with whatever decision I made rather than getting the sale done. So I eventually decided to place an order for the exact model I wanted. Yet again, I never felt any pressure from Robert about the addition of options that I had not considered. Instead, he proceeded to describe the options one by one and offered his opinion only when I asked. Ultimately, I felt that the process led me to order the car I wanted and needed, not one overloaded with features I would never use. Robert told me that the car would arrive in about 10-12 weeks, which at the time was about 4-8 weeks faster than the other dealerships I had contacted or visited. However, another positive surprise was waiting for me: the car arrived early, namely after only 8 weeks or so. I don't know if, because of sales volume perhaps, Leith is somehow able to get their hands on cars faster than other dealerships, but I must say that there really wasn't any dealership that could match their ability to deliver the Macan S at the time I purchased mine. In sum, all I can say is that I was and still am very impressed by my overall experience with Leith Porsche, and with Robert Brooks in particular. read more

I own a 2000 Boxster which hadn't been treated nicely by its previous owners. They have been instrumental in getting this car to drive like new. I have had it in for minor repairs such as the ignition being replaced to a major crash involving a deer. They have always been good to me in explaining what needs to be done and worked with me on reducing the cost of the repairs with finding used parts. Even though I live near the other Porsche dealer in the area, I drive to Leith because I trust them. Which is good because the oxygen sensor they told me about in December just bit the dust today. read more

The only communication through the entire ordeal was from a client care specialist, who at times was not very understanding of my frustrations. Most parts counters in dealerships are the last place you expect friendly smiling faces, this is an exception. Do not do business with this dealership, however if you do NOT take verbal promises from them. I purchased a used Nissan Murano from those guys couple of months ago, so many issues with the car and the whole transaction. * Car came with no tags, they promised to overnight me new temp tags till I get my permanent tags. That never happened. * claimed it's against the law to provide me with temp tags after the first set (that they claim was issued and lost) and that they will pay my payment while the car is parked and can't be driven because no tags. * claimed it passed inspection, I took it to the inspection station, and do not know how it passed for them. Broken fog lights to say the least. * $728 later it passed inspection. Called and talked to Jason Jones, the general manager who promised to take of everything once I get my tags. Basically told me to go pound sand did not deny his promises however just told me he is not doing anything to make it right. I understand that if this was a new car I purchased, it would have been different because I would have received a survey from the factory and they care about that, however since it is a pre-owned car I bought, they flat out do not care. Will tell everyone and anyone about the scams those guys run. granted I live out of state, however I hope everyone who plans to buy a car especially used read this before buying and becoming another victim of falls verbal promises. read more
