I had such a fantastic experience at Discount Tire in Cary! I have to give a **huge shoutout to Kris**, who was absolutely awesome throughout the entire process. Before choosing my new tires, Kris did a full tire consultation with me and even went out to my car to personally evaluate the tires I currently had. He took the time to ask what I actually wanted out of my tires and then walked me through my options based on those needs. He compared the tires I previously had--which were significantly more expensive and had considerably less mileage on them--with other available options, and explained everything from expected mileage and safety to fuel efficiency. I never felt rushed or like I was being pushed toward the most expensive option. I actually felt like I understood what I was buying and why it was the right choice for me. I had made an appointment online beforehand, and from the consultation to having my new tires installed and getting an alignment, the entire process took **about an hour and 15 minutes**. The efficiency was seriously impressive! I also want to mention something that made this experience especially meaningful to me. As a young woman who doesn't know much about cars, I have a pretty strong aversion to anything mechanic-related. I usually feel awkward and out of place in those environments and honestly tend to dread going. That was NOT the case here. I immediately felt comfortable at Discount Tire in Cary. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind. And again, **special shoutout to Kris**--he was knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable. It's rare to leave a tire shop actually feeling good about the experience, but I absolutely did! Thank you to the whole team at Discount Tire in Cary, and especially Kris, for making what I normally consider an intimidating experience such a positive one! read more

Absolutely fantastic service and pricing (they also price match out the door which is great). Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient while not pushing services upon you. The service quality is top notch along with their certificates for tires; even their tire repair policies are quite good. Would highly recommend and will be returning for future tire needs. read more

I needed my front tires replaced, so I went online, ordered, paid, and scheduled an appointment, all in about five minutes. On installation day, they texted a link so I could let them know when I'd arrived. The link also let me check on their progress. They took me right away--no waiting, and I was out the door within 45 minutes. They even repaired and changed a good tire that had a nail in it, free of charge. Service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend making an online appointment, but they take walk ins, too. Thanks to them, I feel safe in my car again! read more

I have been coming to Discount Tires for years and am always impressed with their service and speed. I recently purchased a new set of tires and Michael was very helpful with the options and also the price matching. I did my research ahead of time and he helped explain the recommendations based on budget, driving style and weather conditions. I was able to leave my car and they installed the new set in a few hours on a Friday afternoon. After the tire purchases, they do the tire rotation as well. I have come back with tires that have had nail damage and they have always been able to diagnose and fix and get me back on the road. Thank you for making the tire purchase so easy! read more

I can't speak for their tire changing services and prices since I only went in for their free tire repair service. I went in because a potential puncture in my Tesla tire, and heard reviews of others taking their Tesla and I wanted to ensure my car would be serviced by qualified technicians. I think it seemed fine, it was pretty packed when I went in cause it felt like rush hour, but all in all it only took 1 hour total. They got the tire patched and everything is good so far, will report if any issues. Quick in and out! read more

Went to get car alignment done. Once it was complete, the car would skid on turns and steering became loose. Went back in to get it fixed, told them the car was driving fine before it, it has some side damage, so when the manager went and checked it he said it was due to that. A little odd that accountability couldn't be taken by the arrogant manager, who offered a 'free alignment check' for an issue they caused. Once that was done, the car is still unfixed, damage caused by DiscountTire, with management having dishonest practices and inability to take accountability. The car is now dangerous to drive as one nudge off center at speeds above 50 will skid back tires. Though they will try to milk out as much money from you as possible, so go here if you want that. read more

I always receive great service! The cost is reasonable and the employees are kind. I have used Discount Tire in Michigan, Arizona, and North Carolina. Just recently a manager in North Carolina went beyond the call of duty to help me get new rims for my granddaughter's car before I had to catch a flight. DS read more

I had a great experience at Discount Tire (NC 55 Cary location). Michael was phenomenal -- even though the store was very busy, he remained patient, kind, and professional the entire time. He took the time to walk me through my options and made sure I understood which tires would be best for my needs. His customer service really stood out and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Because of Michael, I will definitely be coming back to Discount Tire. Thank you again, Michael! read more

This is my first time here at discount tire period. Never been to a discount tire in my life until today. My day was pretty tilted already till I got a bolt in my tire leaving work. I stopped at discount tire and Ethan greeted me at the counter with a smile. He said it was his first day, which we've all been there before, so I gave him all the time in the world to do his job throughly. His customer service was more than amazing. Put a smile on my face knowing my car was taken care of. I know shout outs are such a great feeling at work and Ethan definitely deserves one ;) read more

Thanks yet again for great customer service & super quick turn around. Woke up with a flat tire from a nail. Was back on the road within 30 mins of arriving! Thanks Micheal upfront! read more

I've been a customer at the NC 55 shop for years. They do a good job, are good at what they do. Customers need to be aware that this shop automatically enrolls you in the tire protection plan. I think this is a bad business practice that can take advantage of folks. When I asked the service person he said they rely on customers calling it out or declining the service. They should be transparent and clearly discuss all fees BEFORE the work is done. Not ok read more

Incredible customer service! I had never worked with discount tires before, but after my experience with them, I won't go anywhere else. I worked with a gentleman named Landon, who was thoughtful, competent, and most of all went above and beyond to help my son with his tires. Landon's customer service and personal approach is probably some of the most impeccable customer service I have encountered in the last few years. We are going to become lifelong discount tire customers because of my experience today. The cherry on top was the cost of the tires was very competitive and reasonable! Such a great experience! read more

This place is so well run! They gave free tire air checks that helped me feel safe for a long drive, and I was able to find out that Sumitoro tires are real ones - they lasted six years! read more

This place is amazing. I have taken cars/trucks here over the years. Today I had an emergency right before they closed. They really could have turned me away, however, they said as long as I didn't mind waiting they would make sure my tire was repaired that night. They absolutely lived up to that promise. On top of that the entire staff was friendly and vey professional. I was never made to fell like the person that kept them late, although I think I did. This place really has the best customer service and I highly recommend them. Oh, their prices are excellent as well! read more

I went to Discount tire on 55 in Cary . My air pressure light was on dash even tho I had already put air in tires and drove 3 hours . Well Sam who was highly customer service orientated redid the air on all my tires , figured out it was my sensors that were off . He did a sensor test . Let's begin this nightmare of a place. A few months back my daughter purchased 2 new tires from the store and when she went to pay the price was a lot higher then when she priced the tires. The reason being was the person slid a tire warranty on each tire without asking if it was something she wanted and promptly asked for that to be removed. Then she got home and realized they kept the key to her locknut on the rims and had to go back and pick that back up. Fast forward to this week. She got a piece of metal in another tire which thankfully was not one of the new ones she just purchased. So she called and asked for the price for the same identical tires as the last ones and the price. They did not have the tires in stock but in order to get them in she would have to give a $25 deposit and if she chose to not get the tires when they came in they would not refund the money. Otherwise the money was taken off the bill. She dropped the vehicle off in her way to work and I went to pick the vehicle up and noticed that the new tires were not the same as the ones she previously had purchased. I asked to speak to a manager and Brandon came out and I asked him to point out to me what the problem was. After looking he asked if I wanted 2 different brands of tires and I let him know at that point no we sure didn't. He said let's go in and see when I can get the tires here and of course would be the next day. He then looked up the price and said if the tires we wanted were more then he would eat the cost, if they were less he would refund us the money. Lo and behold the tires she asked for to start with were lower in price and a refund was processed. She went back today to have the correct tires put on and when she got home and went to properly put away the lug nut key she realized that the package that she kept it in along with the other 4 spare non locking lug nuts were missing. She called back to the store and Brandon informed her it was a mistake on the installers end and they have them. So once again we are returning back to the store to pick them up. So the moral of the story is if you're a female don't shop here alone because they are predators waiting to take advantage of a female. They first unethically put warranty plans on your purchase that you aren't asked about or told about. Then they upsell you tires without your knowledge or consent. Then they "forgot" to put things back in your vehicle and you have to spend your gas and time to fix their errors. So if you like wasting time and money along with getting taken advantage of as a female? Look no further. We have purchased from them in the past and had good luck, but this will be our last time using them since something has changed and has cost us time and money. read more

Today is July 5, 2025 at 1:25pm. I went in for a tire punction repair. Since I still got the warranty, its covered and I waited for 2.5 hrs to be serviced. As they estimated, they did complete the patch at 1:25pm. However, they lost my Toyota TRD OEM Aluminum Valve Cap. It also happened in March this year when I had my 4 tires replaced and lost 1 of the valve caps. I went in the service bay to help them look for it, but to no avail. The front desk did promised to reimburse it, I just need to bring in the receipt. While I was helping them look for it, I saw a lot of valve caps lying around the floor - some of them are high grade Nitrogen Valve caps. I would recommend that they take care of the valve caps when servicing their client. Though, its a minimal cost, but will be an inconvenience to their customer. I've been bringing my car to Toyota dealership for routine maintenance and never lost a valve cap when they do tire rotations or TPM replacement. I believe this can be done. Thanks. read more

During mounting new tires, my wheel was damaged by the mounting machine. The employee notified me of the damage and a manager verified the damage and said that it would be taken care of. The claim process was efficient and timely. A check to cover my damage was issued by the claim management company. Based on my experience with this issue, and other instances of excellent customer service, I highly recommend Discount Tire if you need tires or related services and want a company that will support their customers read more

Pro tips: - best to do your own research online, they will price match tires you find online. Make sure to look at Walmart / tire rack / Costco. You can even get them to price match amazon sometimes. - schedule an appointment online. Super, super easy to do. Much easier than calling in. This particular shop is busy so you can wait 2 hours if you're doing a walk in. - decision to get their add on warranty per tire is dependent on how you drive. If you buy from them they will patch your tire if you have a flat for free, even without the added discount tires warranty. If it's blown and they can't patch then sometimes the tires baseline warranty can help but usually you're out of luck if you didn't buy the additional discount tires warranty. That said, If you're NOT an aggressive driver, I would NOT recommend the additional discount tires warranty! If you're an aggressive driver and prone to blown tires and wearing out your tires then it's definitely worth it. - not all discount tire shops are the same. Had a terrible experience with one in western NC when on a business trip. Luckily discount tires corporate helped resolve the issue without issues. I have been going to this particular one for 15+ years with 5 total cars over that time and 95% of the time the experience has been absolutely fantastic. Would definitely recommend this shop. read more

I have been a customer of DT for several tire purchases and remain loyal mainly based on their competitive prices. One of the perks of buying from DT is free tire rotations for the life of the purchased tires. I went there yesterday for a tire rotation sans appointment and was able to get them rotated after a moderate wait. (1 1/2 hours) Staff is professional and their waiting area is set up with social distancing. Good option for your tire needs. read more

I had to get my tires replaced last month. All 4 of them! I walked in for a tire inspection and the gentleman that helped with me was very friendly and informative. We chose and ordered new tires for me. We made an appt for a few days after. They called and left a voicemail when the tires arrived and told me I could come in sooner if wanted. I went in at my scheduled appt time. I was in and out within a few hours. They have wifi there if you can't drop off your car and have to stay there. Excellent service. Brought in my BMW X3 due to a slow leak in one tire. I did not buy the tires at Discount Tire (was on the vehicle when purchased used). Since its a run flat and the vehicle is an AWD I worried that it was not repairable and would that I would have to purchase at least 2 new tires at ~ $800 (run flats are very expensive and you should not replace just one tire on an AWD vehicle). Discount Tire plugged the tire at no charge. i know where I'm buying y next set of tires! Outstanding. read more

All for no charge! I will get all my tires, along with my family's, from here! Oh, and they were crazy busy, but still were pleasant and professional! Highly recommended! read more

I had a slow leak in my tire and also needed a rotation. They took care of both for FREE (whaaat??) Yup - couldn't believe it! Excellent COVID precautions- you drive up and scan a bar code to put your name on a waiting list, then sit in the lot with your flashers on. They come over, ask you what you need then have you drive into a bay. You get out and wait and then when they're done they have you come get your car. They never got into my car at all and always were distanced. Cal took good care of me and my car - very friendly and knowledgeable! read more

I bought two Continental tires for my daughters Hyundai Santa Fe and a set of four Michelin LTX's for my F150. Ben and his crew were very polite and check in was easy enough.
