I was looking for a specific Michellin tire that the other big box retailers were out of stock on. Tire Guy not only had the tire but was almost $200.00 less than the bid box retailers. The tire were installed in 45 minutes and I was able to apply for the current Michellin rebate.

This place is on the edge of the 'hood. You will definitely be looking over your shoulder as constantly there are people walking and driving by who will be staring at and measuring you. Huge rims, vulgar rap music and the like. But these guys, and a gal or two, here are great. I've been here three times now and I've never had a reason to go elsewhere for my tire needs. My first visit was to diagnose a tire that always seemed to go flat by the time I got to the parking lot after work. Two other places wouldn't even look at the tire and both wanted me to buy a new tire. This place took the tire off, dunked it in water, and checked it very carefully before announcing it was a small leak at the base of the valve (which cannot be seen unless the tire is removed from the rim, which they did). New valve installed and charged me $7. This latest visit found me with a tire that just wasn't going to pass inspection due to severely worn tread. This greatly annoys me because it is the same tire I had just last year purchased from the dealer (yeah I know). My tech put the tire on a balancing diagnostic machine and told me that the tire hadn't even been balanced when it was put on my car. Sigh... really? That explains the slight vibration and the irregular wear. I had almost convinced myself that my car might be in need of an alignment. So instead of paying a few hundred bucks for an unnecessary alignment I was pleasantly surprised with a new-looking used tire with a price tag of $32. Not only that but no more vibration! If you are in this area and need a tire (or a set) and/or some wheel/tire repair come take a look. Oh... they have a practice here, probably to prevent some shady folks from driving off after repair/replacement completed, of keeping your car jacked up until you pay. Plus the tech will walk with you and stay until the transaction is completed. By the time you sign your slip he will have lowered your car and it'll be ready to drive. It is an interesting approach to go through but given the area it's in I am not too terribly surprised. Happy wheelin'!

OK place if you have all day to have a 15 minute job done and get overpriced by a bunch of rude ass people. Go else where.

Reasonable price, great owner, and nice location…read more Came in for an oil change and to track down the cause of a recurring stall issue with my Volkswagen Tiguan. The mechanic listened, asked good follow-up questions, made sure he understood the problem before drawing any conclusions, and then diagnosed it cleanly. The part arrived within the window he quoted (2-3 hours), was installed without fuss, and the final bill was reasonable. What stood out as much as the technical work: he flagged a slow coolant leak and a minor oil leak -- this is an older car, so neither was a shock -- but there was no pressure to pile on services. He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage. That said, I am a big fan of this establishment and will be using them for repairs in the future (apparently sooner than I want :) Bonus: he pointed me to a wonderful Indian place across the street, Biryani, which I'd highly recommend if you have time to kill while your car is being worked on.

I ended up needing more work done and while it was expensive as cars are it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Gia the manager was also just pleasant to talk to and very communicative overall. She even offered to let me come around the desk to type in my credit card number for privacy which I felt was a thoughtful gesture. Overall my experience was great and my car feels better! Thanks honest automotive!

These guys did a bang up job, with a hammer no less, and nailed it…read more I'll save the sad story of breaking down at a truck stop in the middle of corn city and jump to the chase. I get towed here on a busy Saturday and am ready to freak out about my van. I explain the problem and what I understand could be the culprit in causing my van to not start. They listen and I sit in a nice room with AC, TV, and all that Jazz, while I wait while they don gloves and prepare to stick a thermometer up the exhaust pipe. I decide to take a quick stroll over to the nearby shopping center and return to find my car already running again. The maintenance tech Robert says that he simply hit the starter with a hammer and the thing turned over. I was beside myself with glee that my vehicle could run and that all I needed was the most common household tool to crank her up. Then Robert tells me there's no charge because it took 5 minutes and cut me loose. That's awesome! No bill? -well I'll be back next week with my other car. Thanks Firestone!

They couldn't change out a battery because they said the screws holding the seat down were corroded…read moreand let the car sit for two days without doing anything. I showed them the corrosion before the work had even began and they said they would give it a try. (Battery is under seat which is just peachy). They said they were busy, so they might not get to it Monday. I asked when on Tuesday would be good, suggesting 3PM and that was "plenty of time." I called at 2:30 for an update and they said the technician wouldn't be able to work on it due to it being a safety issue. If the seat is unscrewed, obviously it would be dangerous. I told them to just remove the front two screws and it tips back (how I've changed the battery before). They said they would give it a try. I called back AGAIN at 6PM and they said, "Nope, still a safety issue and the tech was afraid he would bust the screw head off if he tried any harder." So, they jumped the car and I got it going. I went and bought the 10mm triple square bit and all the fixins to drill and reverse that screw out. Guess what? The screws came out easy, no issues. I think the real safety issue is they have someone working on vehicles who doesn't possess the strength to turn a ratchet. I would suggest that management require the person to perform a company mandated physical or an investigation. I'm concerned for the safety of an individual who is unable to provide a slight torque on a ratchet without fear of injury. This could be a sign of a serious medical condition, and I think Firestone needs to investigate the wrist and arm strength of this technician before they break their thin birdlike bones.
