We have had a substantial about of professional work done on our home and this is the first time I've had to write a review. Our experience was that bad and I feel an obligation to warn the community. TLDR version: Quoted and billed for work not complete (quoted and billed for 7 trees in backyard and only trimmed 6, and for removing branches over the house from 1 frontyard tree which did not occur at all). We were quoted at $3-4k and then billed for $5515, and were never consulted that the quote was increasing by a substantial amount (legal limit is by 10%). More details: They left equipment in our drive for a week, broke our hose, and left oil stains all over our driveway. I attempted calling the owner (Dana) in hopes that he would make this right and simply complete the work that we were quoted and billed for. I was berated and yelled at when he called me back as he said he put way more hours than he planned into the job, but admitted the work wasn't complete. It was unhinged. Well, you've been warned! (This review will be deleted if the job is fixed, but if it's up then that means that sadly the work paid for was never finished.) read more

I hired Dana and crew to take down a very big tree - a Cypress, about 120' tall, previously cabled, and dead as a doornail. The crew arrived when they said they would and got right to work, operating like a group of soldiers executing deployment readiness, laying out all their equipment and readying it for ordered and easy access when needed. The crew was down one person from what was planned, due to sickness, so the job took longer than they had expected. There was no urgency to getting the tree down so it was no problem that they needed extra time. The space they had to work with was pretty constrained - house, separate garage, fence just a couple of feet from the base of the tree - and they did a fantastic job navigating all the challenges and obstacles. The crew were nice, friendly, and worked well together. The chipper threw a lot of debris, which they'd told me would happen, and they did a good job of cleaning up our driveway each day before they left. Dana honored the bid that he'd provided me a couple of months before. I would definitely hire Legendary Tree again. read more

I was referred by an arborist, and it took almost three months to get out here, but it was worth the wait. His initial quote this summer was 90 minutes and he and his team delivered, and then some. They are experts, know their trade, respect trees, respect client's homes, are courteous at every turn while on the property, and do a fine job on all levels. They are a rare breed. The two hawthorn trees on my parking strip were getting battered and broken by the constant FEDEX, UPS, USPS and garbage trucks up and down my street. Dana's son, Zane, and his crew cut back the limbs which will hopefully prevent future damage. The trees look much healthier as a result. The work was completed in an hour. I asked Dana to work with two entities who wanted the wood cut a certain way and he was happy to oblige. 2. He is knowledgable about trees and skilled at doing the work. 3. Thank you, Dana and crew! I had an emergency and they were all over it the same day I called! There was a small grove of trees in the back of the property. One tree had fallen over and was leaning against a neighbor's garage. A couple of the other trees had died, and I was putting off getting them removed. After one of the healthy trees fell, I was very worried another windstorm would take down one of the more substantial trees and do some real damage. His crew worked very hard to take down all the trees so there would be no more damage. This is the second time I have hired Dana and both times it was worth every penny I paid him.
