I'm extremely pleased with the services Vitalitree provided. It took maybe 2 weeks for them to get someone to come out to provide an estimate, but once they came out, I received the estimate/proposal within a couple hours. After I approved the proposal through their convenient online portal, I was able to get a service date within a week. Then they called to tell me they had an opening for the next day, so they squeezed me 2 days after I approved the proposal. They were communicative and the online portal was really easy to use. Regarding the services they provided, I had them prune a large cedar and trim back 2 hedges. I asked them to bring the cedar up and away from my roof, take off a branch that was hanging down into the laurel, take several feet off my laurel, trim the laurel back off the walkway, and bring down my camellia's height + round it out. The cost was extremely reasonable, they were punctual (even a little early), they got my opinion on things before they wrapped up, and kept chopping away after I communicated I wanted more taken off. When they wrapped up, they literally left the yard cleaner than it was when they arrived. I'm really happy with their work and highly recommend them. read more

I've used Vitalitree for a number of years now in caring for my magnolia and japanese maple trees in the backyard. Today they opened up the canopies to allow light through and cut them back away from the house while trying to keep the trees healthy and happy. I needed an arborist to assess the health of my tree. I did not want to cut it down. The tree was planted in 1942 and beloved by our family. The arborist did the assessment with this in mind. They offered several options. The recommendation was to wait and see. They thought the tree may survive this set back. If it still is in bad shape, they will come back next season and take another look. I liked their wait and see recommendation. All the plants they pruned are mature, were on the property when I moved here in the late 1980s. They pruned and shaped two large magnolia trees, a couple of older camellias that are taller than 20' and two leggy fig trees. The "lifted" the canopy of a large red cedar and a deodars cedar tree. They tamed two 30' holly trees, shaping them to better serve as a tall hedge between my neighbor's yard and mine. They also did a careful removal of a large broken cedar branch over my neighbor's roof. I'm also grateful for the clean condition of my yard when they were done. So you update your review based on the lack of follow-through and go on your way. And then he continues to harass you to complain and give a non-apology ("sorry you feel...")
