We had tree work done today by a fantastic crew from Vitalitree: Justin, Dylan, Ayden and Eliot. They did an excellent job from start through cleanup and were a joy to work with! The work included removing a tall birch tree growing against a fence and overhanging a neighbor's driveway, and selective cutting and cleaning out of branches in two very large cedar trees, including removing a big branch over another neighbor's garage. We had specific ideas for what we wanted done and the crew was great about checking in with us throughout to ensure their work matched our vision. They were also very respectful of and worked carefully around the plants, trees, and other vegetation in our yard. It was obvious they have a respect for nature and a passion for their work. Vitalitree is wonderful to work with. Max, Jon, and Leo showed up promptly and were helpful and friendly, keeping me posted and asking for clarification and confirmation as their work progressed. All the plants they pruned are mature, were on the property when I moved here in the late 1980s. They pruned and shaped two large magnolia trees, a couple of older camellias that are taller than 20' and two leggy fig trees. The "lifted" the canopy of a large red cedar and a deodars cedar tree. They tamed two 30' holly trees, shaping them to better serve as a tall hedge between my neighbor's yard and mine. They also did a careful removal of a large broken cedar branch over my neighbor's roof. I'm also grateful for the clean condition of my yard when they were done. They really know their business and I won't hesitate to call Vitalitree again. read more

Without fuss they addressed the broken branches on , and efficiently trimmed away other branches that were of dubious integrity. Quick and business like, but friendly. I needed an arborist to assess the health of my tree. I did not want to cut it down. The tree was planted in 1942 and beloved by our family. The arborist did the assessment with this in mind. They offered several options. The recommendation was to wait and see. They thought the tree may survive this set back. If it still is in bad shape, they will come back next season and take another look. I liked their wait and see recommendation. First he asks for something Yelp explicitly says not to oblige. Then after you amend your review and increase your rating to help his business during a tough time, months go by and he simply decides he isn't going to follow through on his offer to make things right, but doesn't bother letting you know either. So you update your review based on the lack of follow-through and go on your way. And then he continues to harass you to complain and give a non-apology ("sorry you feel...") My review was accurate of my experience, despite how the owner believes it was from his memory (my 2000+ reviews are not the musings of a person out to get businesses, but rather to inform the community what MY experience has been).
