I would give Grun 10 stars if I could! Professional, affordable, responsive, and fast. We had part of a 100+ ft tree fall in the backyard on a weekend, and Grun was in contact with us the same day, out the next day to plan, and at work two days later to deal with all the cleanup. I am truly impressed with how quickly and cleanly the work was done (even during the busy season) - they listened to and throughly addressed all our concerns, and even left the backyard cleaner than it was before. We had them do a big Maple in front of our house. It ended up happening in the winter and when spring came it was clear there were still dead branches that needed to be pruned. I told Patrick and he was very responsive, got a team out and fixed it. Now true tree looks great! read more

We had extensive tree work done at 100+ year old residence on half acre with dozens of towering, mature cedars and firs. We have had Patrick and his crew do work several times in the past. The work scope included removing hazardous branches from recent wind storms, opening some view corridors to the west, and raising the canopy on some of the trees so the beautiful trunks could be seen. All of this required balancing the health of the trees, artfully removing branches, and lots of hard work high in the trees. The result is amazing and exceeds expectation. The yard look very natural and not 'parked out' since they removed branches at different levels creating a very natural look. Patrick and crew were very professional, efficient and responsive. We've been do-it-youselfers in pruning our trees for 25 years. (Well, actually it has been my husband so I can take neither credit or blame!) When it was time for a large tree to come down near the house and power lines (along with some other high-up-in-the-trees work), we called Grun Tree Care. Patrick came out and walked all around our property with us, answering all our questions that had been piling up over the years. He's a skilled arborist and pointed out several things we hadn't even thought about. He gave us an estimate for this all-day job and it came out well under budget. The crew that came out was awesome! Hard workers, polite, totally cleaned up after themselves. When I pull up in our driveway now I smile with pride at how stately and healthy our trees look out in front of our home. Grun Tree Care, Patrick, pruned and made sure my 70 foot, 3 trunked pine tree was not going to blow over on my house in January 2013. However, with the high winds experienced in Seattle lately, I decided, after 10 years of babying this tree, to take it down. It was quite a trick as the tree was on a slope and had 3 trunks that had been bungied together, and the landing area was just 18'x 25' I have rose bushes, fruit trees, fences, decks and houses around the immediate area. Patrick and his guys were able to take down the tree, one piece at a time with ropes, and not damage anything. Patrick's crew was polite, well mannered, and answered any questions I had.They left the area clean of any residue from the tree. Patrick and his crew did a fairly extensive job of pruning and removing some trees earlier this year. He started the project on time and quote was very close to final pricing. We were able to keep the cedar chips after as well. He is a certified arborist and truly seems to love the purpose and beauty of the trees. I wanted more pruning than he recommended for the health of the tree. The overall result was very nice and this is a very professional and skilled company. Would recommend to anyone. read more

Couldn't be happier. Grun took down a 70 foot black locust tree hanging partially over my house and had a power line running through it. I could tell the team of 3 that showed up was super experienced. They also advised on what I should plant next and did some extras at no additional charge. Great crew and loved the strategy put into the SOW. That is what sold me along w/ the education that came along with it. This was the only crew that explained to me what was going on in my yard and came with a plan for the first pruning and future prunings. Patrick is awesome. He pruned several trees for us last fall, one of which is a large japanese maple growing close to the house. He carefully pruned it away from the house while maintaining its natural shape, and gave it some overall shaping. We knew he did an excellent job at the time, and now that it's leafed out this spring, it's even more apparent how skilled he is. We love our tree even more than we did before. He also removed two trees for us several years ago, and did an expert job. On top of that, he provides top notch customer service and is super nice. You can tell he loves what he does. Patrick Storey and his tree removal crew (2 guys) did a fantastic job of removing our Lawson Cypress that was suffering from a disease and slowly dying. They arrived on time and their efficiency was like clockwork. I could not believe how fast they worked Patrick climbed the 70 foot tall tree and limbed it on the way up. As soon as the branches hit the ground, his crew ran them through the chipper. It looked like they were racing to get the job done, but they were careful to be safe in how they conducted their work. They cleaned up the entire area and even ran down the street with a blower and cleaned up all the wood chips from the operation. The bottom line is that I was very impressed with the quality and speed of their work. Patrick even cut the main trunk of the tree into pre-determined lengths so that Urban Hardwoods of Seattle can use the cypress wood to make furniture and make me a fireplace mantle. That way the wood is not wasted by burning it or landfilling it. Many thanks to Grun Tree Care.
