They are much better than an average place, and some of the varieties are different and interesting enough to set it apart from Top Pot etc. Some constructive feedback: they should use real fruit fillings and lemon curd instead of the radioactive neon yellow lemon they are using now. Bigger is not always better. Their donuts are huge but taste blah. And service was not good at all. I ordered a coffee but wanted to use some milk instead of the little tiny cups of half and half and she acted like I was asking for something unreasonable. She was going to charge me extra for putting milk in my coffee. I have never heard of something so ridiculous. Will not be going back here again. I also come here when I want to get an abundance of donuts to bring to work. I would advise calling them ahead of time to make sure they have the donuts that you want or at least pre-order them. On Fridays they have mini-donuts with a mix of blue and green donut toppings. Go Hawks! The mini Oprahs, which consist of maple topped with Bacon is very popular with everyone at work. They're just the right size and only 2/$1. I feel the donuts are reasonably priced no matter what type or size. It's a small place with 3 small tables and some bar stools along the window. It's a great alternative to voodoo donuts. Honestly, I think Legendary Donuts tastes better. I would rate it 5 stars but it would have been better if they had a more comfortable area to lounge & relax and have your donut and coffee. read more

I used to live in Tacoma and have been to the Tacoma one and went to the Lake Tapps location around 6 months back. The Covington one is pretty much the same. It had a decent line going and even more people came right after my fiancée and I. We probably waited around 5 minutes which isn't bad. We went on a Saturday or Sunday around 10 and honestly was surprised I didn't have a longer wait. I tried the chocolate chip for the first time and for any of you chocolate lovers think of s chocolate flavored old fashioned smothered in chocolate and chocolate chips! I'm going tomorrow morning to pick up a dozen for my coworkers instead of or chasing them Christmas cards. This is the best donut ace I know of in south King county for some crazy luxury doughnuts! The doughnuts here come in various tiers, from the old standbys that every doughnut shop sells, up to their signature creations which are more pricey, but totally worth it. The location is a bit funky and I hope they'll land enough business here to make it. Pretty dang good donuts. They have a type of donut there I've never had before called the Doughsant and its out of this world crazy delicious. It's basically a croissant donut. My two favorite pastries. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the Bavarian Cream donuts have a "fluffy" light filling instead of that yummy thick Bavarian pudding I enjoy so much in other typical cream donuts.
