    Filet kabobs

This is appropriate Lee named legends. It was a legendary experience. We took the waitresses recommendation and tried the balsamic brussels sprout appetizer. This was a new one. The brussels sprouts were cut into small quarter size pieces and maybe a half inch thick. They were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and had a balsamic dip that was the perfect sweet and bitter bite/ My steak kabobs were perfectly cooked with rare filet. We visited on a Friday night and were surprised to find they had a live band from 6-9 followed by a DJ. It was an alternative band. Epic. Everywhere you go they only feature a country or rock band. The band was great . The decor was eclectic. Food excellent. Two people meals and appetizer and no cocktails under $100. I was looking for great food, but the music knocked the experience out of the park. Very upscale experience in a quant small town.

Coconut shrimp with sauce on it

Coming into at end of bar the cigarette smell was so bad we tog about leaving. Difficult to wait to be seated as people at the bar decided to stand at the end of bar instead of seating on a bar stool We where sat at the other section so cigarette smell tones down quite a bit Server was great very attentive. We sat rift next to musician that it was difficult to speak to anyone at table. Wish they would have had a way to amplify music to aal areas instead of speakers right there. Band playing was really good. Coconut shrimp was a disappointment served on large plate with iceberg lettuce underneath for garnishments . Pineaaple sauce. Was not good it came drizzled on shrimp not on side and tasted like watered down sour cream with a hint of pineapple Seafood ravioli was okay but not worth the price. Garlic bread that came with it was not toasted barely warm . It was like eating bread that has been heated and cooled but no crispness to it Spring rolls where in egg roll wrappers Fish was great but hardley any tartar was offered and had to request more twice. Side salad with meal was on a very small plate. Only forks where in our silverware napkin so it was difficult to eat the salad as it was full leafs of lettuce and hard to manage with no plate size to even mix salad together Dressing was on salad doug made half the salad with dressing half the salad without Panini ordered looked like it was reguarly grilled on flat top and 1 of them where not toasted all the way kinda soggy. Between the salad dressing, the tartar sauce and pineapple sauce it felt like they where trying to save money by skimping Based on how good the menu design amd web page looked it seemed agreat place to try but for us we wont be returning. Too expensive for mostly subpar if that food quality and quantity.

How could this place of escaped our notice for so long?!!! We came on a Saturday night not really knowing what to expect. They gave us a table. With a view out the front window which was really nice. It had more comfortable chairs than the ones at the other tables. We got there just in time (around 5:30 pm) because after we were seated there was a steady stream of people coming in. I ordered a bloody Mary which came with a wonderful assortment of picked asparagus, pickle slice, 2 large green olives, half a cherry tomato and "onion tanglers" - I could of ate my weight in those - they are so crispy and delicious!!!! I don't know what kind of seasoning they use for the batter but it's truly addictive! I never wanted to stop eating them! I ordered it spicy and it was just right. I got the fillet kabobs with horseradish mashed potatoes and a side salad with blue cheese dressing. The dressing is definitely homemade and the salad came with crunchy tortilla strips on it which I really enjoyed. The kabobs (2) are fillet mignon meat and they were cooked to a perfect medium (which is how I ordered it) with mushrooms, yellow and orange pepper slices and red onions in between the meat chunks. The meat was super moist and tender. Didn't even need any steak sauce. The potatoes had only a slight hint of horseradish taste, nothing overt and we're so very creamy! They topped them with green scallions. My husband had their "Legendary Burger" with pepper jack cheese (you can choose what kind of cheese you want in it) (came with tomato and shredded lettuce) and he liked that it had a "char" taste to it. It was cooked to his preference and was moist and seasoned very well. It came with a sort of twistie, steak type fries which he really liked. He said they were seasoned well and cooked to be crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. We loved this place, and can't wait to go back. It got a bit loud as people funnelled in and it filled up but you could still hear the music and hear the person with you talk. There is also a few outdoor tables.

I had the filet kebabs & they were fantastic. Cooked to perfection! It includes their horseradish mashed potatoes, a little zing to mashed potatoes. My husband had the Queen cut rib eye and he said it was very good. Inside was eclecticly decorated. Wait staff could have been slightly more attentive but other staff did pick up to ensure we got boxes & our bill.

I'd been looking forward to checking out Legend's since it opened after the previous craft beer business in the space had vacated. Since they have somewhat odd hours, it took a few tries before I was able to be near there while they were open. I learned they are closed on Mondays and don't open until evening, I believe, the rest of the week. Their lit "OPEN" sign is difficult to see from the street. Legend's takes up two adjacent building spaces. The main one is a bar with some limited table seating. It's decently and thoroughly decorated albeit a bit cluttered and kitschy. It seems they have tried to appear like a trendy bistro type spot you might find in a larger city yet missing an actual city feel. It really didn't even have a small town friendly feel either. The main bar is connected to the other building which looks to be used for live music, but I didn't actually step inside that area. I just saw the inside entrance from the bar. They also have seating outside on a sidewalk patio where smoking was permitted. That outdoor seating is what first caught my eye on all the occasions I'd ridden past the business. The space is small overall. I can only imagine how tight it would be if it were full of guests. While things mostly looked pleasing aestheticly, the bar seating wasn't the most comfortable. It feels like high-end materials were used but that they tried too hard and missed in a lot of ways. There wasn't much to the new menu. They had no vegan options now that the menu had been changed from the one I viewed online before trying the place out. Barely anything vegetarian. A weird mix of cuisine. Food and drink prices are definitely on the higher end. Way too overpriced for downtown Peru. I imagine it's to cover what must be a high overhead. My draft beer was nearly $6.50 after tax. $6.42 to be exact. It really wasn't even that big to warrant the cost, in my opinion. I know of other establishments in this town with more reasonable prices especially on draft beer. I did not order any food. The most disappointing was my initial impression. We'd had iced coffees in our hands from the down the street and just decided to pop in as we strolled by and saw Legend's was actually open this time. Two women near the front door at the end of the bar who worked there abruptly told us we couldn't bring in outside drinks. We weren't greeted in a friendly way. I didn't expect to just bring in a coffee and take up space, but to be forced to rush to chug the remaining sips of my coffee and to discard the cup before being allowed to further set foot inside was a bit ridiculous. I usually carry water with me everywhere I go, so I wonder how they would have reacted to that had my bottle been in my hand. It was rather warm outside, so we wanted to get out of the sun and into the AC as soon as we could and really didn't think much of it. I later noticed there was a "wait to be seated" sign inside before you get to the bar. It had been obstructed by the two women when we first went in. The attitude I was faced with made me feel like I was a high school kid entering a forbidden area when I'm sure I'm much older than the women who so rudely approached us. I felt looked down upon and like I was not welcome and did not belong. My initial impression didn't get any better. One of the women waited on us at the bar but did not stick around or make conversation. She left the area as soon as we were served, and I had to ask for my bill when I was ready to go. I really wasn't in the mood to remain there any longer. After the cold reception, seeing my bar bill, and perusing the lame overpriced menu, I don't think I would return. I'd prefer to go to a dive or chain if in this town or just reserve my money for when I'm back in an actual city with a more genuine vibe. Some aspects make it kind of confusing as to whether this is meant to identify as a bar, a sit-down restaurant, or a nightclub. Much like some of the other poorly executed businesses with terrible hours in Peru's downtown area, it could be cool, but it just isn't.

Had the best time with Steve and Shawna--the owners--for NYE yesterday. The staff is so friendly and the food was delicious! The mozzarella sticks were great as was the potato French fry nachos!!! I will be back.

Big city vibes in such a small town. The staff is super attentive & the food is amazing! You will not be disappointed in any of the dishes. Ask what's on special. Every square inch is decorated to the nines. The decor fits the "Legend's" theme. Live entertainment throughout the week. Casual, Non-smoking, 21 years and older venue. Definitely a date night place.

We were celebrating our anniversary so it was a special night for us. Our waitress was super but stretched thin so she wasn't as attentive as she probably was on another night. This is a very upscale place. Decor and service reflect that. Good old fashioned steakhouse vibe. Oysters Rockafeller were perfect. Bread was fresh and absolutely delicious. He had American Wagyu Ribeye. I had Steak Oscar. Both were cooked appropriately. Maybe slightly under seasoned as we both added salt which is not typical for us. The Old Fashioned was really good and they had a wide selection of wine/beer and a handful of specialty cocktails. Our 2nd round of drinks was comped due to slow service at the bar and dessert was on the house for our anniversary which we really appreciated. We will definitely go back and try other things on the menu. Our steaks were good but I wouldn't say they were worth the price. $110 for his and $80ish for my Oscar. It was a filet with truffled hollandaise sauce and a scant amount of King Crab. They no longer serve King Crab due to the cost. Strange. If we would pay $110 for a steak why wouldn't we pay for King Crab due but that was a minor detail. I wouldn't say have preferred more crab...give me snow crab. The dessert was delightful. Baked Alaska served table side with plenty of rum. Thank you for making us feel valued and special!

This restaurant has a nice ambiance but there is room for improvement…read more As a heads up, it's definitely on the pricier side. (e.g. the scallop dish had exactly 3 scallops for what you're paying.) Prices on the menu have also gone up since other Yelper pics of the menu. The bread and butter was delicious. There is a lot of it, so I asked to box up the leftover bread and butter. The waiter took it but definitely did not box up the same amount of bread that I left behind. I only received a fraction of what I expected to be boxed up. The butter was flat out discarded. I would have just boxed it up myself had I known that they'd make sure it would go to waste. Not sure what happened to my actual leftover bread. The waiter was telling me all about the desserts and really played up the baked Alaska. It sounded great and I had my heart set on it after hearing all about how awesome it was and then he came back and said they ran out. It would have been more efficient to check up on inventory before talking up the different menu items.
