After two days, the gel polish started lifting off my nail. I had also noticed that my gel X nails underneath were curving. This time around though really ticked me off. I had went to get a removal of acrylics and gel. When I first got there, the lady, I believe her name was Alexandra was very kind. I won't lie to you. She was very professional. She took my nails off no problem however, then she passed me to a different girl. This girl was going to be doing my gel manicure. When she had asked what I wanted to do to my nails, I had explained to her the design which I don't believe was intricate at all. It was very simple. She explained that she could not do that when she told me that she couldn't do it. She was halfway done with taking the remaining acrylic off my nail, but I could still see acrylic was on several of my nails. In this, she also cut me not once but three times on the bottom of my nail. If everyone knows what I'm talking about it's the skin that grows with your nail at the bottom. Let's just say it was very painful and it's still very painful. When I told her I wanted to go to a different salon because I wanted the specific design she changed her attitude real quick. I still explained to her I would pay for the removal of the acrylic to which she said oh no, I did a manicure on you which she did not. How are you gonna tell me that you did a manicure on me when I still see my cuticles not cut three of my nails still have acrylic on them and you cut me three times. I then asked OK how much is it gonna be to which she asked her boss and the boss also agreed to only charge me for the removal of the acrylic. Let's just say I will not be going back here again and I suggest others don't because what you are about to pay is not worth the quality that you're gonna get with your nails. Trying to charge me almost $50 to cut me. Have acrylic still on my nails and not do the simple design that I asked.

During one of my visits, I experienced a situation where an employee was speaking about me in another language, and it made me feel singled out and uncomfortable. Based on the interaction, I felt that I was being treated differently, and I believed there may have been racial bias involved. I brought my concerns to the owner, hoping to resolve the issue professionally. Instead, I was told that I was no longer welcome at the business because I had missed an appointment. That missed appointment occurred while my grandmother was hospitalized, and I believe the circumstances were not taken into consideration. The owner also told me that the staff had held a meeting about me, which made the situation even more upsetting. After my experience, I no longer feel comfortable supporting this business, and I wanted to share what happened so others can make their own informed decisions before choosing to go I also want to mention that a similar situation happened to my friend, who is also a person of color. Based on both of our experiences, I believe there is a pattern in how customers of color are treated. Dora was also very rude and unprofessional throughout these interactions. My father is an attorney, and he will be taking legal action regarding my experience with this business. My friends are also looking for new lash techs and will no longer support business . They just lost a lot of customers The owner reached out and is still not taking accountability. I told them that I had an issue and they never acknowledged the discrimination that I faced. Second of all I've sent many customers there and I've always been on time during the grace period . So don't make an excuse as if that's the problem. Third of all, I've only gone to Chelsea and only liked Chelsea so they could've continued to book me with her instead discredit my feelings and told me that I wasn't welcome because I brought an issue to them now they want to respond because they know that they are wrong and again we will be taking legal matters. Also, now I have proof that you just told somebody that they said that they were discriminated and not to make that as an excuse that's worse on you. I also reached out to the business several times trying to resolve it through text and they blocked me and never Responded, They're only acknowledging me because it makes their business look bad me and me and Chelsea never had issues. She would even talk to me about her kids schooling troubles, so you're making up excuses. That was a troubling experience however I have found a salon, more professional, and the quality is way better than Moon Lash. Please take your money somewhere else. They do not acknowledge you and it is not worth it. When I shared my experience, they couldn't believe that happened. They have never had to tell a customer because of a complaint. They are no longer welcome.

It completely changed my appearance in a way I wasn't comfortable with. I reached out respectfully afterward and explained that they were too bold and not what I asked for, especially since this was my first lash experience. I asked if she could accommodate me with a removal or some kind of correction, but I was told I would have to pay again for both the removal and a new set. For $120, I expected better communication and a result closer to the references I provided. If you like very bold/full lash styles, her work may work for you, but if you want a softer wispy cat-eye look, I would be cautious and make sure you discuss it very thoroughly beforehand.

The lash tech was very nice but the service itself did not hold up. When I first left the shop I was happy with how my lashes looked since they were perfectly in place. The next day after I waited the 24 hrs she recommended I washed my face and at first my lashes looked a bit off but I didn't pay too much attention. After a few hours I looked more closely and realized that all my lashes were pointing in different directions despite them looking great the full day prior. A few days passed and the state of my lashes could not be salvaged even when I tried a lash curler. I sent pictures to Kate and she was very understanding of my problem and asked me to come back in so she could take a look and fix them. I was shocked when at the end of the service she charged me for another lift. She did not say that up front, I thought it was just a correction on a poor prior service. Instead I paid double the amount for a very negative experience. I didn't argue and I paid since I didn't ask ahead of time and blamed myself for assuming. The same thing happened again, but this time it was worse. I had to wait a full lash cycle before my lashes could look halfway decent. Overall it was a very disappointing experience, especially since I thought the positive reviews would save me from a bad experience. I was wrong, but still hopeful that I'll find a quality lash lift in the area... for now I'll stick to a daily eyelash curler until I could work up the courage to try another spot.

This place is not worth your time or money. Take your business elsewhere! Steve, Stephen or whatever his name is, is a bunch of BS! My first appt with him resulted with a good experience. I made a second appt with Stephen for a second visit. I specifically said that I wanted him to do my nails. Mr. BS gave some lame excuse as to why he couldn't work on my nails and asked another worker to do my nails. This young person was inexperienced and pretty much tried his best but his work was mediocre. For the third and final time I called Stephen to attempt a third visit for him to do my nails. I asked him to give me the first appt of the morning. This lying POS again gave my appt time to someone else. Stephen needs to be a man of his word and take some pride in the business that he is running for his mommy. At this rate Stewart Little (Stephen) needs to seek another profession. I'm almost certain that I am not the only customer that is willing to travel 20 miles to have her nails done by a good manicurist but at this rate if my money and time is not appreciated than I can take my business elsewhere. Save yourself the time, headache, and disappointment -- this place clearly doesn't value its customers. I won't be back.

Yesterday I walked in to get a fill and cut down on my nails because I am due to have my baby in a few weeks. I went from plum colored almond shaped long nails to shorter soft pink squared nails. I am extremely satisfied. Unfortunately I had to skip my pedi because my feet are so swollen my doctor advised against it. I never let anyone cut my toe nails though just file so be advised my review is based on a no cut pedi. While they do get busy they are always thorough and accommodating. The clientele can be a little rough around the edges and are usually talking loud and cursing on their cell phones but the actual work and price deserves these 5 stars.

So I sat down and waited patiently for the nail tech to be done but more people were coming in and I don't mind waiting but instead they decided to pull this guy who was smoking a cigarette outside on his phone who looked like he didn't care or didn't want to be there to do my nails. So then as he started I noticed he didn't clean my nails or trim my cuticles or anything and I was curious because I've gotten my nails done already from other salons and they've always taken care of my nails and properly prepped them the same ways but this guy was skipping almost every step?! On top of that instead of upselling me he downsold me, I wanted a whole new set because my previous set was chipped and starting to fall off and he said no he had me do a fill instead which I mean if my nails were still go to do a fill than whatever I don't mind saving money but he said it would be $15 cheaper so it should of been $61 but instead I was charged $68. On top of that as he was doing my nails he was not measuring the nails he was not filing them correctly and was not even he wasn't even layering my hands to make sure both hands we're symmetrical I had to keep doing it myself! I had to keep telling him to fix my nails because they were crooked or jagged and I was just kind of frustrated at this point and wanted to get it done and over with. He even was getting the French tip design wrong and had to redo it a few times. By the time we were done my nails looked somewhat decent and I was ready to go because I was just done with it. Oh and he only did one layer of clear coat and didn't even oil my cuticles or anything like that. And it's just him! I saw the nail tech next to him working on a different client and she was getting such a different experience than what I was getting When I got home I re looked at my nails under different lighting and realized he glued hair in my nails which is disgusting and I can't take it out unless I file the nail down, the nail polish is streaky and bubbly and even after all the corrections I had him do some nails are still jagged on the edges and not smooth! I wish I would have gotten the guys name because they have 3 guys there but I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE not unless you get one of the ladies or guys that actually give a shit compared to this man that did my nails cause clearly he did not want to be there and rushed/botched my nails Also it's only been a few days and the nail polish is already falling off.
