I feel like they were one of the most professional and reliable alarm companies in the metro area. When you call the central station you get people that have worked for the company for years and you start to recognize them. The central station staff understands very well how all of the systems work and you can rest assured that if your alarm goes off they will dispatch police/fire and contact you according to your instructions. I feel like with some other companies like ADT that you don't have this same level of reliability. The installation and service guys are also very knowledgeable and professional. However, over the years their service has gotten much worse. It is next to impossible to get a live person on the phone. Every time you call, they send you to voicemail - you never get a live person. Most recently it took them 24 hours to return my call - that's unacceptable. They also try to shove a long 3-year contract down your throat that automatically renews. I have a background in alarm systems so I feel like I had a higher than average expectations and Safe Systems almost always exceeded them. However, at this point, I would look elsewhere.

Any time I've come into a situation where I've had to move they are not understanding and force me to continue to pay even though I cannot install a new system for some time. Recently I just contacted them because I was moving again but this time into a rental, where I cannot install a system, and they are trying to charge me an extra full month because I didn't give them a full 30 day notice. They are simply the most obtuse and inflexible company when it comes to working with their customer. ***Here's a tip, never ever go on auto pay with Safe Systems. Make them bill you monthly and never give them a credit card. There is a loophole in their contract. If you give them a credit card number then they have you locked in for a service contract that auto renews your service agreement. If you pay by check, once your service agreement is up you will then go on month-to-month. However, as I just learned, you have to give them 30 days notice to end service otherwise they will try to charge you for an extra month whether you use it or not.

Reliable signed a contract with me and violated that contract through a rate hike, I called and they can't do anything about it and so you have to go through Brinks which is horrendous. Beware of what you're signing up for. It's 2018, do yourself a favor, use NEST aware or one of the smart home devices company. These legacy companies should seize to exist.
