I have never had such a all-around poor experience with a company. I started my service roughly 3…read moreyears ago. I was sold the product under the guise of the cost of equipment being included in the monthly service fee. Turns out that is not true, whatever equipment you need for your house is built into a separate loan with a external company. Which ultimately leads you to spending thousands of dollars on a cheap android tablet, a handful of average quality home cameras and a doorbell. The actual security service is incredibly slow. It takes far too long for any doorbell or video notification to come through for the notification to actually be useful, and in the few instances that my alarm actually did it go off for a legitimate reason it took far too long before I actually received a call from vivint, your house will be robbed and empty or engulfed in flames before Vivint takes action to help you. The real world timing of this service is just not actually useful. Finally, good luck canceling your service. You will have to play games of telephone confirming with your loan company that you have paid for your equipment. They will have to send documentation that your equipment is paid for to Vivint. You will have to pay a early cancellation fee. Mine was about $250. Once they get done trying to convince you to upgrade your service to their newest product/ move your system to a new home/ try and convince the new owners to pay for the remaining service, they will tell you that they are going to send an email from documents@vivint.com. That you will have to copy and paste and send back to documents@vivint.com. I unfortunately was able to get to this step having not paid the early cancellation fee and was charged for two extra months of service because there was no communication back from Vivint that there was a problem with my cancellation. Stay away from this company, they will turn you into an angry human.

It's too much of a liability for us the scope of this project mainly for any tile damage and not knowing what's behind--and possible heat-leak up from the fireplace. If this was a normal standard drywall wall setup not above the fireplace, we would have no issues quoting that." This even before I was able to let them know what the materials and wall type were and it's an electric fireplace with the ability to have the heat turned off which I let them know prior to this response. If they can't even wait for my response on the materials or work with me on the install but just say you aren't worth the hassle, well that isn't a company I would want to work with when it comes to installing TV's. We hired Next Step Communications to install a wall bracket and hang a large flat screen TV with concealed wiring for the TV and all of the components. My initial call, I spoke with Jason. He gave me detailed info, thoroughly answered my questions and set up an appointment to do an estimate and complete the work at that time if we wanted to go ahead with it. Jason and Ryan arrived as scheduled, and even called the day before to confirm the appointment. The cost to do the work was very reasonable. They walked me through what they would be doing, again answered my questions. They completed the work quickly and efficiently and cleaned up everything and even touched up some paint around the TV bracket which no one could have seen, but it shows their attention to detail and the quality of their work. When we need additional work done we will definitely be calling them. They are extremely customer focused and they really know what they are doing. I highly recommend their company! read more

They responded to my initial contact immediately, came onsite to do an estimate and provided a clear concise and competitive quote which I then approved. They clearly knew exactly what they were doing and took the time to explain (and show) me everything they found, and their recommended solutions in a friendly, knowledgeable manner. We have had the worst Wi-Fi on the planet in our 160 site RV Campground, forever. I contacted NextStep and talked to Jason and Ryan and they created a state of the art system. This consisted of adding fiber optic (I am currently trying to get our city to provide us with fiber optic service) cabling through our property, all new equipment racks and antennas. We have used them for an…read moreemergency situation where our air conditioner started a fire on the side of our house -- they were there within the hour and fixed everything. We have used them to install light fixtures and install electric for a hot tub. At the last minute we found out we needed them there to complete an installation and they were there same day at the time that they promised. I would highly recommend them.
