There is no way that I can recommend anyone to be so foolish as to do business with this company…read more My security system was not working and needed repair in addition to replacement of batteries that had gone dead. Within two weeks of me paying more than $700 for this service, some of the batteries that they were supposed to have replaced did not function and while I was away from my home, the fire department came. The alarm had blown and firemen to whom I gave access to my house replaced the dead batteries and resolved the issue. I therefore contracted with another security company that rectified the entire situation and said that the battery issue as well as other things that should have been done were not done. The job that had been done by Metro was totally incompetent. The owner, Mr. Gonday, continues to send me bills for monitoring that has not been in effect for more than two months. He has also had the nerve to tell me that the batteries that did not function had nothing to do with his service and that it was MY FAULT because I didn't have the batteries checked to see if they were functional. He bought the batteries and inserted them. I did not! This is total folly and ineptitude. Do not do business with this man or his company!

I called over a two month period of time to get the master code, in which they never provided me with when it was set up. They kept saying we could do it over the phone but couldn't get anyone to call me. They said they would send a tech out and never did and then again, no return calls. Finally, after 2 months, they said they were sending someone out. I asked if there would be a charge and they said no. A tech came out because they couldn't give me the code over the phone. The tech called another employee, got it immediately. I then fixed the system myself and was charged $190.00. $190.00 for a code they couldn't give me over the phone. The tech was at my house for 20 minutes but Cory Wills said he was there for 1 1/2 hours - a HUGE lie. When I spoke with Cory Wills, he felt that was a fair charge - $190.00. They could have provided this to me on the phone or when they installed the service. Don't go with this company for anything!!!!! They scam people and the customer service is terrible. The employees that come out for install are nice but the staff behind the phones and at their desk have no customer service etiquette. Terrible business and really awful people. Scam artists!

I have never had such a all-around poor experience with a company. I started my service roughly 3…read moreyears ago. I was sold the product under the guise of the cost of equipment being included in the monthly service fee. Turns out that is not true, whatever equipment you need for your house is built into a separate loan with a external company. Which ultimately leads you to spending thousands of dollars on a cheap android tablet, a handful of average quality home cameras and a doorbell. The actual security service is incredibly slow. It takes far too long for any doorbell or video notification to come through for the notification to actually be useful, and in the few instances that my alarm actually did it go off for a legitimate reason it took far too long before I actually received a call from vivint, your house will be robbed and empty or engulfed in flames before Vivint takes action to help you. The real world timing of this service is just not actually useful. Finally, good luck canceling your service. You will have to play games of telephone confirming with your loan company that you have paid for your equipment. They will have to send documentation that your equipment is paid for to Vivint. You will have to pay a early cancellation fee. Mine was about $250. Once they get done trying to convince you to upgrade your service to their newest product/ move your system to a new home/ try and convince the new owners to pay for the remaining service, they will tell you that they are going to send an email from documents@vivint.com. That you will have to copy and paste and send back to documents@vivint.com. I unfortunately was able to get to this step having not paid the early cancellation fee and was charged for two extra months of service because there was no communication back from Vivint that there was a problem with my cancellation. Stay away from this company, they will turn you into an angry human.

I've been with this company for 10 years and I'm not sure why. I've had problems since day one…read more This company has charged me for services I never agreed to but because it was snuck somewhere into my contract they claim I have no recourse. Any time I've come into a situation where I've had to move they are not understanding and force me to continue to pay even though I cannot install a new system for some time. Recently I just contacted them because I was moving again but this time into a rental, where I cannot install a system, and they are trying to charge me an extra full month because I didn't give them a full 30 day notice. They are simply the most obtuse and inflexible company when it comes to working with their customer. ***Here's a tip, never ever go on auto pay with Safe Systems. Make them bill you monthly and never give them a credit card. There is a loophole in their contract. If you give them a credit card number then they have you locked in for a service contract that auto renews your service agreement. If you pay by check, once your service agreement is up you will then go on month-to-month. However, as I just learned, you have to give them 30 days notice to end service otherwise they will try to charge you for an extra month whether you use it or not.
