This Tailor shop used to be amazing but the quality has gone down tremendously especially this past year. I go here regularly to get shirts hemmed at the bottom but they've done a really sloppy job lately (as seen in the pictures below). Nowadays, after a couple washes, the stitches fall apart and I have to take my shirts back to get fixed which is incredibly frustrating. It seems like they just rush through everything instead of taking the appropriate time to do a good job. They even increased the price from $10 to $12 but the quality of service has gone down. It's still a bargain from most other tailors in the area but I'd really like to see the quality of work improve read more

Do not go to this location. The tailor is a chain but this individual does horrible work. I picked up my dress after dropping it off on 4/26. I had to wait two weeks before my wedding to pick it up. This should have been my first red flag as it should not have taken two weeks for a few strap adjustments. You will see in the photo not only is the top of the dress crooked, but the bottom is as well. The dress was MUCH shorter than I requested. The worst happened when I tried to communicate the concerns of my dress. I was gaslight and told the dress was made like this and laughed at when I asked how we can fix it. Do not go here. Do not take items you care about to this woman. She is rude and inconsiderate and offered no way to repair the dress or refund me for my troubles. The review would have been far different if her treatment of me was respectful and remorseful. read more

This tailor is very convenient to me. I have used them a few times and they have done a good job. I usually just have pants hemmed. I was greeted when I walked in with a friendly hello and a smile. The were quick and it only took a few minutes to get the measurements. Yes, guys they do cuffs and that is what I had them do. I was not in a hurry for the pants, so it only took a few days. As I was in the business, I noticed how clean it was , no bits of clothes laying around on the floor or in the changing room , no fowl odors either. A very pleasant experience so far with this tailor. I have yet to bring in a suit and have them tailor it. But when I do I will update my review. Lee's Tailor Shop is easy to get into and out of, but not in rush hour. The share a parking lot with a few more businesses and have two roads the you can enter or leave from. read more

A bit overpriced. After using Lees several times, I requested several repairs to lining in my jacket. 3 repairs were not made. I brought it back and she said I didn't request those. I showed her the 3. I returned and only 2 of the next 3 were repaired. She charged me extra for that one. Prior to hen I had good experiences with her meeting the deadlines and doing a quality job tho pricey compared to Ivy's. I miss Ivy. read more

I have been using this Lee's Tailor location for almost 10 years and always had great experiences. I am 5' tall and curvy. So, I have A LOT of clothes tailored - shirts, pants, and dresses. Once I had something that was left a bit too long and they were quick to correct the length, and insisted no charge. I saw a few comments about cost. Yes, the cost has gone up a bit over the past 2 of years and they now require payment before alterations are done. However, I still find their fees reasonable overall. 100% highly recommend this shop. Took my daughters dress to be altered. It was done in just a few days and was so perfect it fits her like a glove. Was worried at first because the woman who pinned the dress moved quite quickly. I now realize it's simply because she knows what she's doing! I had used this tailor shop many times over the years mainly for dress and pant gems and never had a problem. They always did a good job at a fair price and in a very timely manner that is why I took my formal dress to her. I was attending formal wedding and never thought my expensive dress could be damaged at the tailors. I picked it up as scheduled and I noticed right away that it was covered with glitter, and the hem was uneven and poorly cut and it wasn't even pressed around the hem. I asked her about the glitter and and the uneven hem (at that point I hadn't notice that damage to the material) and she shrugged it off, no apologize, no explanation, no attempt to correct anything. I had prepaid as she requests (nothing that I could do at this point). There was absolutely no concern for any of the damage on her part. She noticed as she walked by that she had squeezed it next to another dress covered with a sparkly material, but still said nothing. An apology or possibly admitting that the dress should have been in plastic protective bag would have been at least a good option. I will not be going back, for sure. read more

The tailor shop is in a convenient location downtown Apex. Recent experience involved me having a dress altered in which a woman described to me what the alteration would include and the price. When I arrived to pick up the dress, another woman informed me the dress did not need the extent of the alterations as previously described, but only needed a minor alteration. The woman still charged me for the original quote, and when I pointed this out to her, she said she still had to charge the higher amount. I had used another alteration shop in Apex and will return to the other location versus using Lee's in the future. read more

I have been to this shop before and had been relatively pleased with the work they had done. I recently took two dresses to be tailored. Both had ribbon around the armholes. When I went to wear one of them (tags still on) I found the ribbon had frayed around the bottom portion of the armhole. I brought it back immediately! They told me it is a defect in the product because their hands only touched the top part of the armhole while altering the straps. I told them there was NO damage prior to bringing the dress in. I didn't even have to put the dress on to noticed the damage. They would not take responsibility. They were insistent that it couldn't have been done while they worked on the dress and they would not refund my money. NEVER GOING BACK!!! I am out the cost of the dress and alteration fees for a dress I have NEVER worn. read more

I have used this tailor shop for around 12 years. Disclaimer, I live across the street so I just walk over there. The small gentleman that runs the front of the store is always so happy. Always has a smile on his face when he greets you. And greet you he will, he is no slouch; his level of customer service is outstanding. Another thing I like is they turn around your stuff quick. Normally, if I drop something off he will have it ready in a couple or three days. He is of course Asian, I do not know if Korean, etc. The reason I say this is he talks really fast with a heavy accent and this ole redneck has a hard time understanding him sometimes. They do all kinds of sewing here, from any type of dress, gown, shirt, they do it all and have been here since we moved here in 2006. If they were not good, they would not have lasted so long. And of course they have dressing rooms and an old shoe you can wear if you want to try something on and let them take the measurements. Solid business, I highly recommend. read more

Had three new men's sport shirt tails cut off and re-hemmed. Never asked the price because of the simple work. Charged me half the value of the shirt each: ridiculous prices. Didn't matter that I challenged their pricing; owner acted like it didn't matter what my concern was. Oh yeah...CASH only at this place. NO CREDIT CARDS. My husband and I went in to have one of my dresses hemmed and for him to be measured for a tux for his friend's wedding out of town. The simple hem on my dress came out fine. My husband's measurements on the other hand were WAY off. Our first clue should have been when the woman measuring him said he had a 27" waist. When I questioned that knowing he wears a 32" waist in pants she re-measured and sure he enough she got 32"... When we got to the tux place for his final fitting the day before the wedding the pants fit, but the shirt was about 2 sizes too big. That wasn't a hard fix, but the jacket was also about 2 sizes too big, resulting in us paying an extra fee to have the right size jacket overnight shipped in for the wedding the next day... Of everyone (7 other guys), no one else had any problem with their measurements being off. Next time we need measurements taken, or probably anything other than a simple hem, we'll go somewhere else. read more

I took my wedding dress there to get taken in and hemmed. They did not take it in, but tried putting elastic in the back, which did not work. I noticed there were lots of pin-prick holes in the bust of my dress. It looked like they stitched it up and took the stitches out. When I first pointed it out to the woman who altered it, she acted like she could not see them, assuring me that they were not holes. Finally after poking and scratching at the fabric, she agreed that she would fix it and take in the bust again. When I came back, she did not take in the bust and she did not fix the holes. They did not seem to care that they ruined my wedding dress and tried to pass it off as if the damage was not there. The dress was brand new with the tags still on it when I brought it in. read more

The last time I went to this shop I was getting a prom dress altered. Actually, now that I think about it, both my junior and senior year prom dresses were altered there. The first one is most memorable because the bottom of the gown was a sort of chiffon that started at the waist and rippled downward in many different layers. It was a very difficult job to hem and we had been told by another tailor that they couldn't do it. Luckily, for around $75 we had the dress altered and were called in 3 days. It fit perfectly and there were no visible changes, the dress was just shorter. My next dress needed a portion of the back cut out and lined with gold fabric. It turned out beautifully as well. I will be going back to this store very soon to get my wedding dress altered. As with any specialty store, I communicated ad nauseam with the employees to insure that what I wanted came across. There is, or was, a slight language barrier so the communication did take some time. I do remember some discrepancy with with the price when we came back to pick up the item, but it was a simple misunderstanding. read more

I have used Lee's Tailor Shop intermittently over the years and have never been disappointed like I was with my most recent experience. I brought a dress in to get hemmed shorter, easy enough for someone's whose business is tailoring. First, they told me it would be ready on Wednesday or Thursday, but when I went in at 4:00pm on Thursday, the dress still wasn't ready and I had to come back. When the dress was ready days later, it was not hemmed to where I had wanted it to and they had to re-hem the dress shorter which took another week. Then when I went to pick the dress up after getting the hem fixed a second time, it was still too long and they charged me double for having to fix their own mistake!!! At this point, I took the dress to another tailor to get it hemmed to the length I actually wanted, and for a better price with better results. Very disappointed in their service. read more

Terrible service. Had alterations done for a chiffon gown for my daughter's wedding. Unfortunately I did not try it on at the shop because they were busy helping a big bridal party. There were stains all over it, especially in the neckline! I took it to them as soon as I was aware of the stains and they did not take any responsibility for them. The woman even took it in the back room and came back out and had me smell the dress and said it was my perfume that stained it. I did not have perfume on, the perfume smell was not one I wore and the stains were all over the dress. In addition I had them put loops in the dress for straps I planned on wearing. The loops were not even close to being in the right spot. Thank God for my amazing dry cleaner and my own sewing ability to repair the damages. read more

Insisted on adjusting my shirts (4 brand new) differently from what I requested. I went with the"expert" only to have 4 shirts ruined. They are barely wearable now. I took them to another tailor to find out that it could have been done the way I requested originally but now there is not enough fabric remaining. When I complained the counter person would not even confirm understanding the problem. I will never return. The responsiveness and customer service was horrible and the cost is very high. read more

I have used Lee's Tailor for about 2 years now. They are a bit pricey but they are close and she does a good job. I brought in 4 lacrosse jerseys last week that needed to be taken in. They are $10 practice jerseys that are reversible. I was quoted $12 a shirt. She took then in at the shoulders and the sides. $12 is more than I paid for the jerseys but my 13 yr old is small for his age and it is something we have to do. I go to pick them up and I am told that I owe $96! At first I thought I heard him wrong. He told me that because they were reversible, I was charged $12 for each layer. I asked why I was not called when the quoted $12 per shirt was going to be double that. He told me I was. I did not receive any phone call! That was a lie. She may be a good seamstress but they do not know how to run a business ethically and have no clue what customer service is. I paid the $96 for my 4 cheap $10 lacrosse practice jerseys but I am absolutely disgusted and will never use them again. Customer be warned: make sure you request them to call you if they will be charging you more than the quoted price. read more
