Sadly I did not have a great experience here. I was looking for a MOB dress. The selection was dismal and I was very disappointed in what the salesgirl pulled. I showed her several photos from their own website of what I was interested in and with the exception of one dress she said they had none of them. She didn't assist me with try-ons. Never came over to the fitting room to see anything on me or offer suggestions. Not sure why I had to even make an appointment. I was expecting a nice experience and instead I left frustrated. The next day I headed to Nordstrom's where I found so many beautiful choices. I ended up buying two dresses there. What a difference. I was blown away by the helpfulness and involvement of the girls at Nordstroms. i would say head there if you're looking to be treated special and have a stress-free dress-shopping experience! read more

I purchased two Junior Bridesmaid dresses recently and had a very poor experience. The communication for placing orders and scheduling a fitting was a bit confusing. Having said that I did get good communication via text and was able to work through that part. Unfortunately when we went to the fitting they didn't have a dress similar to the size my oldest daughter needed to try on. As an alternative they had her try on a dress in a completely different cut and fabric. I explained my concerns and was told that was the best they could offer. They then looked to me for guidance on what size to order.....I thought the point of a fitting was for them to tell us what size to order. ESPECIALLY if you can give us sizes to try on in a similar style/fabric. End result, the dresses just arrived and one is too small. I have ordered dozens of wedding party dresses over the years and never had this happen. Absolutely horrible experience. read more

Cute shop with knowledgeable, helpful, and professional staff for your bridesmaid dresses! Excellent communication and customer service. Would recommend. I narrowed down my bridesmaid dress shopping to a few Jenny Yoo dresses. I called ahead to make sure the styles were in stock to try, and they all were! It was easy to make an appointment a couple of days ahead of time. When I arrived, Skylar already had the styles I mentioned pulled up, as well as a couple of JY dresses in other styles to try for size. They will likely not have the color and size of the dress you want. They have the dresses in large sizes like 10-14, and will clip you into them. And you'll look at colors in another style. You'll order the exact dress through them at the end. The fitting was an hour, but mine ran to 1.5 hours including ordering the dress. Skylar was easy to talk to and patient. She said the made to order dresses take 14 weeks, and helped me narrow down options that were my size and ready to ship instead. They honored a coupon code from Jenny Yoo online, so it would not be more expensive to order through them. The dress arrived within 5 days since it was a ready to ship dress. I measured between sizes, and the dress was too big with minor defects (multipe chiffon strings hanging). Bella Bridesmaids immediately contacted Jenny Yoo, coordinated a return of the dress, and a new dress was immediately shipped within 1-2 days. The new dress is a better fit and didn't have the minor defects, so I'm glad I decided to get a new dress for that reason too. As an aside, Jenny Yoo's dresses are higher quality than bridesmaid dresses I've seen before, for the original price of $300. read more

The dress selection is great since they represent many of the popular bridesmaid brands but the communication and process from the team (especially the manager) made it a painful experience. The dress selection, to me, is the average cost of all bridesmaid dresses, especially since it comes directly from the designer / brand so not much you can do about that. But the manager was pushy and aggressive in her emails, the short and unhelpful on the phone. The process is convoluted and doesn't make sense. You "must" order all the bridesmaid dresses at once but then you are also able to remove a bridesmaid from your group to order everyone else in the meantime. Then what's the point of the rule in the first place? The shipping process is also confusing if you have bridesmaid in other locations. The lack of communication for dress shipping was not shared - I had to call and ask which they then revealed all dresses had arrived but they were waiting for ALL dresses to arrive to start shipping out. I think this could be a super successful boutique but I would start with new management. Which seeing from the comments many people agree with it! 3 star because the shop did provide dresses but I hate a terrible experience. read more

My sister was getting married and there was only one dress by Jenny Yoo we wanted to try on for my maid of honor dress. Bella Bridesmaid Cary was the only store in NC (other than Charlotte Bella) that had this particular JY style (which shows their extensive variety). We easily scheduled an appt and was able to try on the dress and match the other bridesmaid dresses with another designer with the help of their employees. The online "showroom" was a huge help to look at different styles once we narrowed the designer down, ordering was simple and easy, and all our dresses came in the quoted time. I'm getting married next year and we are coming back to look at bridesmaid dresses again! read more

My bridesmaids are all over the country and luckily Bella is located in all of their locations, but I dealt specifically with the store in Raleigh. It's a cute shop and Laura was extremely helpful when my sister was trying on dresses. Unfortunately Laura moved, so she is no longer with the store, but Christy took over helping me and she's great! They are a little hard to get a hold of, but they do get back with you. And I want to say a special thank you to Amy! One of my bridesmaids was not able to make it into the store to try on the dress and called the store closest to her to get help with what size to order. The size she ordered was two sizes too large. Sadly I was not a fan of this company. I was the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding and I was not pleased with any part of the process. I called to make the original appointment and they made such a big deal about how the bride had to be the one who made the appointment. Well, my bride was busy! She has a successful and busy career and she really didn't have the time to call and set everything up, so I did. When our appointment finally arrived, I felt like they only talked to the bride. I completely understand, that it is the bride's wedding, but we also need to feel heard as well. The bride let us choose whichever dress we wanted, but the sales associates definitely leaned towards the more expensive gowns in my opinion. They did not have many plus size dresses to try on. If you wanted to try on a gown in your own size that they didn't have, you would have to pay $25 for them to ship the dress to the store for you to try on. We ended up just measuring and getting a dress that would fit, but the sizing was very weird and they made me order a 4 sizes up than my normal size. Oh, and let's not forget about the $25 plus size fee if it's over a size 12... which is basically a size 8 in normal sizing. We got the dresses only a week before the original wedding date. Thank goodness the wedding was moved due to covid, if not, there is no way we could've all gotten our dresses altered in time. The original dress, plus the plus size fee was around $400. To top it off, the dress did not fit well and I had to pay $95 to alter it. You can basically say this dress was around $500. If I pay that much for a dress it better be flawless and well made. It was not. The inside lining looked like a bedsheet with terrible stitching. I would have been ok spending $100 on the dress for the quality, but not almost $400 and then alterations. The dress on the outside was pretty, especially after the alternations, but I would not go back here for any special occasion or wedding. The quality and service do not match the price tag. If people are paying top dollar for a product and service, they deserve the very best, and this place fell short. read more

Okay...where to begin? As a bridesmaid, I am appalled that I would ever be requested to buy a dress at this low quality, overpriced boutique. We were given a week, ONE WEEK, to come up with $300 for a jumpsuit. Whether that falls on the bride or boutique, the lack of understanding was beyond belief. Where my confusion was, the entire time, was that we were told they were "custom designed" for us but they needed to know our standard size. Why should that matter? I ordered custom to my body but put down a size 2, because I'd rather it be too big than too small. The boutique contacted me and asked if they wanted me to fix it to be a 00. THANK GOD I DIDN'T! First of all, the jumpsuit arrived after a couple months and I immediately opened it. The jumpsuit had three tags - all saying size 2. Why would it have tags unless it was pulled off a rack? Wasn't this supposed to be made to fit my body perfectly? THEN! I put the jumpsuit on and, god bless, it barely fit. I was immediately enraged because they almost had me buy a size 00. CAN YOU IMAGINE? The dress didn't fit my bust at all, which it should since I gave accurate measurements and only fit my waist, almost too tightly. Do NOT be "that bride" who sends your bridesmaids here all so you can get a discount. The look of the product you get doesn't match the price at all, and I cannot stress enough how miserable and horrific of an experience this has been. You are paying for an off-the-rack product at custom-designed prices and basically left being robbed and disappointed. read more

They implied that my neighborhood had theft (I've never had a problem before). Had to rush to have dress made. I picked it up myself. Dress was a cheaper version than I ordered and they still haven't processed the complete refund of shipping and difference of dress. Great customer service. Erin is super friendly and knowledgeable. Their dress selection is really cute, but on the pricier side for bridesmaids dresses (maybe 150 and up?). It makes sense, since these are considered designer bridesmaids dresses. On the plus side, these are dresses I'd totally wear again. The brand they have include Jenny Yoo, Coren Moore, Priscilla of Boston and Simple Silhouettes. There was a good sized selection of sample dresses and a fabulously comfortable space to try on dresses. As a bridesmaid told what sort of dress to wear, I'm not sure I would necessarily care about these sort of things, but I do appreciate less-stress and that's what they gave me. read more

I have gone to Bella Bridesmaid both as a bridesmaid and as a bride. The owner, Christy and her assistant, Laura are both incredibly helpful and friendly. They have made finding the perfect dresses for my wedding (both for the bridesmaids as well as my own wedding dress!) easy and a very special experience. Christy and Laura are both very knowledgeable and quick to respond to emails, get you more swatches, answer questions, whatever you need. My appointments have been easy to set up, and they offer great advice on dresses without swaying your opinion one way or another. In a nutshell, Bella Bridesmaid's excellent customer service coupled with an amazing selection of bridesmaid dresses made them a clear choice for me while planning my wedding. I didn't end up going with Bella Bridesmaids but want to give a shout out to Haylee for her AWEOME customer service! She was incredibly helpful and despite me being extremely picky she ran around the store to get a variety of different dresses and designers and colors to help me put together a color palette ... Our appointment ran close to 45 minutes over and she was not at all pushy but did everything in her power to accommodate us and help us leave satisfied with our choices. My sister and I made an appointment about 10 months before my wedding just to look at dresses and get a feel for what we like, my bridesmaids were all in different states. I can't remember who helped us since it was so long ago, but she was amazing! My sister already knew she wanted a floral Jenny Yoo dress in blush, and they helped me pick different Bill Levkoff dresses for the other girls to try on when they got in town ( I let them pick which style they wanted to wear but all in the same color). I was a little nervous when it came to ordering since the colors I wanted in both brands were not in store, but she ended up recommending a shade in the Levkoff dresses that matched perfectly with the Jenny Yoo! Picking a dress for my wedding, piece of cake. Selecting the venue, easy. Dealing with Bella Bridesmaids? Most stressful part of my wedding planning thus far. It did not start out so bad, long story short, I went solo to my appointment and received wonderful customer service. The girl that worked with me was very helpful, patient and kind and even offered to host a bridesmaid's dress fitting with all my girls with mimosas. I was promised a fabric swatch to take to my florist. 2 weeks later I hadn't heard anything from them about the swatch and my meeting with the florist was coming up quickly. I called numerous times over the next several days, leaving 3 messages asking about an appointment with all of my bridesmaids and getting a swatch. I called a few times without leaving a message and at different times of day when I knew they were open. No one answered the phone, no one ever called me back. I had a friend call and pose as a bride wanting to look at dresses and they were called back within hours! I loved the dresses I picked there but will not be buying them from Bella Bridesmaids. They wrote me off the minute they believed they had my business and did not care to invest anymore time in me. read more

As the bride, figuring out bridesmaid dresses can be a bit stressful, but Laura at Bella Bridesmaid was very helpful and made the process very easy. This was especially impressive considering one of the dresses we decided on was being discontinued. They worked quickly to ensure that we were able to get the dress. Going with Bella Bridesmaid is also helpful because there are locations in major cities all over the country, so your out of town bridesmaids can go to those locations to try the dress on too. Although, the location in NYC was a bit difficult. They told my maids there that they had only one day a week that they could come try dresses on if they weren't going to be purchasing the dresses through their location. I phone call by me smoothed things out though. Overall, it was a great experience. They were prompt in returning all my questions and the dresses arrived quicker than I had expected. We had a fabulous experience at Bella Bridesmaid from beginning to end. During our initial appointment, the girl that worked with us took her time and asked lots of great questions about the style that we were looking for. She let us pick out dresses we wanted to try on and also suggested a few of her favorites. She made sure to adjust and pin each dress when we came out so we could see how it would look in our size. When our dresses arrived, we scheduled a 'learn to tie your dress' appointment. We had the lovely Two Birds dresses, and had no idea how to tie them. They spent the appointment helping each of us decide on our favorite way to wear the dress and teaching us how to tie it. Great customer service!! Don't be confused by other reviews. Bella Bridesmaid is under new ownership since November 2011. The management team Christy and Laura were more than helpful. In all honesty I walked into their boutique thinking I could not afford, but I was happily mistaken! The ladies found a great Ivy & Aster dress in my price range and gave me a discount because I ordered 6! They are phenomenal to work with and worked with my bridesmaids out of town (DC and Boston) to make sure they were fitted and received their dresses. I have 2 other weddings I am in this year and as many bridesmaids dresses I have tried on, I realized I stumbled on a real gem with Bella Bridesmaid! I have loved working with Bellabridesmaids! Their selection is top notch, unique, with a wide range of styles. My girls not only felt comfortable but they felt beautiful on a day where not all bridesmaids are able to say that. The customer service was personal, thoughtful and genuine. Incredibly rude staff (at least the one I spoke with). I explained that I would like to make a Saturday appointment (any Saturday; I'm not picky) to try on bridesmaid dresses, but she would not let me have one since I am not a bride. I tried to communicate that my job does not allow me to take off time during the week, and I would only need 30 minutes to try on a few dresses, but still she would not allow me to book an appointment on the weekend. Seriously? Way to alienate your customers. Because of their inflexibility, I will have to order a dress sight-unseen now. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I agree with Nicky. Long story short for us too...My sister is getting married in Oct and we ordered our bridesmaids dresses from BB back in January. The contract we signed with them guaranteed the dresses by the first of June. It's now the middle of July and we just got the dresses today. I know that getting dresses from designers can sometimes take longer than expected. The main reason we're furious is the fact that it has been six weeks and not ONCE did anyone from the store contact us to update us on the status of the dresses. Everytime we talked to someone, which was all of three times in 6 months, it was because we called the store. My sister went by the store three separate times and they were closed...during normal business hours. Which is probably why the dresses could not be delivered. We ended up calling the designer and asking them to check the status for us and they said they had been trying to call the store for two weeks to set up delivery, with no luck. Shocking! They are never open or available for customer questions. Horrible customer service, and I say that being someone who works at a high end retail store myself. It's ok to make a mistake, just take ownership of it and be proactive in handling your customers despite it. All we wanted was a phone call and an apology for the miscommunication. Bought 2 junior bridesmaids dresses here. The employee measured and ordered the dress size she said would be good. I inquired about sizing to allow for growth since the wedding was several months away & she assured me the size she ordered allowed for that. My daughters try on the dresses...one for perfect and the other was way too tight on the neck and chest. I pointed it out to the employee who handed us the dresses and she said a seamstress could let it out & it should be included in the price. A seamstress charges by alteration, so I had no clue what she meant by this statement. So now I'm paying over $200 for the dress PLUS alterations that would not have been needed if the correct size had been ordered. I asked twice if we could order the next size up & both times she told me to take it to seamstress, then she claimed they couldn't get a replacement dress in time. Hmmm...it was the same amount of time I ordered the dress & received it the first time! She let me leave not caring that I was not satisfied. I had to pay an extra $60 for alterations for the dress, altogether spending $100 on 2 bridesmaids dress that I spent over $400 on. Completely absurd. They were sweet as ever when we were shopping for the dresses, but couldn't care less when it came time to resolve an issue & it was obvious they just want you to take your dress and leave. I would never set foot in this store again and would never recommend anyone to spend their money here. read more

First off, the bridesmaid dresses are of good quality and beautiful. However, that is the only positive moment I have experienced while working with this boutique. We ordered and tried on our bridesmaid dresses 5 months prior to the wedding and many of us knew we would need some alterations. However, when it was a little over a month before the wedding the bride inquired about the status of our dresses. The owner got back to her and explained that there was a miscommunication between them (the boutique) and the factory and that the dresses had never been ordered, had not yet been made, and that she was unsure of when they would be ready. One bridesmaid was forced to change the color of her dress since they no longer carried it in her style or size. Two of the six bridesmaid dresses arrived within 21-24 days prior to the wedding, while three of us had our dresses arrive 8 days before the wedding but only giving each of us 5 days to have alterations made before we had to arrive to the location of the wedding. The last bridesmaid received her dress one day prior to the wedding day which the manager of the store, reluctantly, sent a back up in case the dress didn't show up in time and demanded we send the back up back to the shop as soon as the correct dress arrived. As, you can see we were all pretty frustrated with how everything unfolded. So many of us decided it was not our right to seek reimbursement for all the trouble that occurred. The company was willing to reimburse us the mandatory one day shipping fee (mind you 1/6 of us lives in NC) of $25. However, since most of us needed our dresses altered and giving the time crunch, we were charged an additional rush fee by the tailors. I will admit to living in an expensive area but had planned on taking my dress to be tailored by a family member. Since, the time constraint I was forced to take it to my neighborhood tailor shop and was charged a $45 rush fee- the other alteration shops had refused to alter the dress within 3 days so I was a bit stuck. Initially, the owner said she would be willing to reimburse us on the rush fee but upon emailing her after I received my bill, she was only willing "to pay towards" the rush fee and only willing to reimburse $20. Considering the circumstances, I felt as a customer who spent $200 on the dress and who wasn't at fault for the delay of the arrival of my dress, there could have been more compensation made. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled and will never be using this company again in the future. read more

This place is awful! Not only are the dresses overpriced, but the bridal consultants were only available by email and never by phone! One of my bridesmaids had a problem with her dress (there was a defect) and was unable to get Bella Bridesmaids to help with the issue in a timely manner. In fact, it took on average 5-7 days for them to respond by email (and we were in a time crunch trying to get the replacement dress prior to the wedding!!!). I would not recommend a place that is "by appointment only," has no phone number, and has poor customer service once you have PAID for your dress :) Go elsewhere! read more

I absolutely do not recommend working with Bella Bridesmaids. 1. You can find the same dresses at a much more affordable price other places. 2. They do not answer the phone during business hours. I have called countless times on various different days, at different times of day and I have not once reached an actual person. 3. We were told to fill out an online form in order to order our dresses as a group. We were told that our cards would be processed "the day after" the Bride clicked submit for all of the orders. That definitely didn't happen. Then we were told it "may be 4 business days." That definitely didn't happen either. It has now been 7 business days. No charge applied. The service of this store has so far been lacking and inconsiderate and as a customer I am very disappointed. You should expect these high-end "quality" stores to offer high-end quality service. They should be available to their customers. If I could cancel my order I definitely would because a store like this does not deserve my money or business. read more

I live and am getting married in Chicago in September but my Maid of Honor goes to Duke so my bridesmaid and I made a trip down to her to go shopping for their dresses. We had several appointments scheduled for that day but Bella was our first at 10am. We had their dresses picked out and measured by 11am! We cancelled all of our other appointments and went jewelry and shoe shopping. Bella made this such an easy and quick process for us. Our time frame was tight but we did a rush-shipment to make sure we have them in time. Christy is so great to work with and she is great about emailing you to keep in touch and make sure your updated. Everyone that we worked with was very nice and accommodating at the beginning. When it came time to order the dress I was measured and I was told I was a size 12. I explained that I am normally a size 8 and I was surprised that she would recommend me for a 12. I had tried on other styles from the dress maker at the store and some were 8's, 10's and 14's. I was between sizes 8 and 10. However, she said based on my measurements I was a 12 and that's what they were going to order for me. So I was not surprised when I went to pick up the dress that it was rather large. The woman at the store measured me again and said that I was a 10 up top but she said I was now a 14 on the bottom. I have never worn a 12 in my life let alone a 14. And it is a flowy dress, the top is the part that needs to fit. Clearly looking at me in the dress that was swallowing me whole I can't believe she was telling me that I could have been sized for a 14. I was told there was nothing that they could do and that I should have refused the size 12 they recommended and insisted on the 10. I have taken the dress to a seamstress and she is a bit concerned that it might not match the other bridesmaids dress due to how much fabric she has to take in. I guess since the others bridesmaids dress is huge as well we will maybe match in the end! read more
