I think lees sandwich has just been here a long time and they are a franchise. All the banh mi and food generally taste the same. The bread is kinda dry and there's not much flavor in the banh mi. They need to put a good serving of mayo butter. More! This location, the thit nuong was bland. The thit nghoui was fine. I think they should have more pickled beets than carrots. Not a big fan of it. This is why lees sandwiches in general will never be better than other sandwich shops. However lees sandwich has some hot foods. The eggrolls are good. So I heard about this sandwich shop I heard about their coffee, but I was directed to the location on rainbow or Chinatown and this is in my neighborhood 1.2 miles away from my house. I first experienced their coffee recently from in Costco and of course I was stoked to find it by my home so that I could experience it fresh. Of course it was better fresh than with concentrate but the concentrate is really good if it's so good they will bottle it and sell it in Costco. I want to try it.. Let's start with the guy at the front being so nice and clarifying what option I wanted, because I would've ordered the wrong item otherwise. The sandwich itself was great, bread was fresh and filled with a reasonable amount of veggies to meat. Got extra pate and lee's never disappoints in a sandwich even out of state. The thing is I bought a baguette to take home for my brothers dog, it's a snack he rarely gets to have but I was told I could buy it for him because it's his favorite over EVERYTHING and I'll be watching him for a couple weeks. I laughed thinking he is a weird dog. As soon as it hit my hand I was like oooh it's warm, thankfully I walked to my car before having a bite because the sounds I made would get me arrested. I was hungry and this was in my line of sight. I was really excited to try the Sardine Sandwich, as I remember the Vietnamese/French version from a small hole in the wall in Las Vegas's China Town from long ago years before COVID shut us down. (If I can actually remember where it was I will go back and investigate to see if they are up to par with my memories of their incredibly delicious sandwich). I ordered the sandwich, some chips, and a cafe latte (almond milk) with one shot of hazelnut. She explained to me that they just have the regular coffee and creamer. I wanted only a small sandwich but she said they only make one size which was fairly long. I just figured I would take the rest home. It was a very robust sandwich and if you like a more fishy taste then this would be good for you as it is a generous portion of fish. I ate it because I was hungry. The bread was perfectly made with a crisp crunch on the outside. The coffee was terribly sweet. She tried to explain that they only had sweetened creamer (which I never use as it usually contains too many processed ingredients and fake or substituted sugars, many of which I am allergic to). She offered to pour me a new black coffee and give me heated milk (they don't have any almond milk or other substitutes) and give me some regular sugar on the side in a small dish. Wow, has this place changed since I was last there. I love Lee's and was craving a Bahn mi so I stopped in to eat. Not sure if they want you to eat there anymore because there was a total of 4 tables, the TV was turned off, and the restroom was out of order. Typically, a food establishment would be closed if the restroom was not working properly. I'm guessing they didn't want patrons using it. I ordered a BBQ pork sandwich, egg rolls and got a soda. The baguette was still delicious, the pork was ok, and there were very few vegetables. The egg rolls were luke warm, nor sure when they were made. To top it off my soda was flat. Ugh. Getting food for me and work peeps was a breeze because of the Yelp app. You can also order from their website. It's a no-frills quick-service food establishment specializing in Banh Mi. Crunchy bread with a thin layer of Mayo, cucumbers, carrot slices, meat of your choice, cilantro, and jalapeño. Back in the day, there were only a few Vietnamese restaurants in Vegas but things have surely changed especially in the last 15-17 years but Lee's is still around. When I have to grab trays of sandwiches to feed a lot of people, I prefer Lee's over those sub sandwich places. Lee's also has Western sandwiches: roast beef, turkey, croissant sandwiches if Vietnamese is too exotic for you or anyone in your group. They have lots of drink options as well. I've been craving a classic Banh Mi for weeks. I stopped buying half an hour before close and received the best customer service. I frequent restaurants in Nevada and this by far was such a smooth and kind interaction with the cashier and kitchen staff. I ordered a combination sandwich and it had the perfect layer of pâté. I also had a special request for the turkey club baguette which was confirmed with no hesitation from staff. I got my toddler a corn dog which they made fresh for her. They build their sandwiches with such a balance. The baguettes are so fresh and crispy. I also love their variety of drinks and snacks to accompany your meal. They carry shrimp chips, Buldak products and 3 classes of pâté in small tins for home use. Their drinks include bottled lee's coffee, rare Vietnamese melon, taro and strawberry juice boxes. They also carry classic chips to accompany their European sandwiches like lays and Doritos. I absolutely loved my visit. They were quick and efficient and I look forward to my next visit.
