I cannot say enough about what a professional locksmith Jacob is. I had no phone; it was locked in my rental car, a Toyota Camry. I had to exchange e-mails with Jacob. He was very responsive to my situation as we exchanged messages. He replied promptly on a Saturday night to my dilemma. The keys were locked in the trunk of the car parked at a golf course. The keys were in my golf bag. Jacob was first able to unlock the driver side door. The car, however, has a "security feature" that, without a key, the trunk release button would not work.
Jacob called the rental car company (not to be named) and tried to get the key number for the vehicle. The representative said they would not give out key numbers. Further, she said that because the keys were locked in the trunk, the car would have to be towed 20 miles away to a service center! She called for a tow and said they would be there in 90 minutes. She also told us that a key could not be made to work because of some other "security feature" of the Camry.
Jacob removed the driver's side handle and was able to get a code from the exposed lock mechanism. He then proceeded to make a key on the spot. Using this key, he was now able to open the door and pop the trunk, since the car recognized the presence of a key.
This whole process took an hour. Jacob was not only patient, but he was clearly persistent in his efforts. It would have been easy for him to say, "Sorry, I can't help you." Instead, he saved me from not having a car and from finding a way to get to the service center 20 miles away, which might not be responsive on a Sunday.
Then, he charged me a very fair price of $80.
Bottom line - Lees Keys II is highly recommended. Jacob is a true professional. read more
