My jeep grand cherokee limited threw the good ol dreaded, WTF, bad timing in your life, uh-oh check engine light. I had it scanned to get the code. p06dd..how I hate you Mr code. I needed a new oil pressure sensor replacement. Not a quick and easy task for everyone to do. Trust me, if it would have been, I would have done, it with help of course. So after searching online, asking friends and family if they could recommend anyone. I finally went to yelp. I searched for mobile mechanics ( i was not taking the chance on driving it. Lord knows one code was enough) and started asking for quotes. I was blown away by the dollar amount I received back from several mobile mechanics. I almost felt like I was going to have to brave the task. BUT!! Then I received a quote from Dustin @ Davidson Towing & Roadside Service. Not only did he beat all the other quotes, he went out of his way to ask me questions, answering all my questions and made me feel like a customer and not just someone to willing to pay the insane amount, almost enough to put his kid(s) through college, without understanding why. After a lot of messaging back and forth ( i am so grateful for his time with the communication) I not only felt confident in this business but i felt very confident in him. ( I admit I did read his previous reviews also ) Dustin came to my house the next day. When he arrived, he introduced himself and while doing so he held out his hand to shake mine. ( serious brownie points for the professionalism there. ) We spoke briefly about my issue and he asked how i knew exactly what the issue. I informed him i had it scanned. He almost looked relieved and disappointed in the same facial expression, if that is even possible. My assumption would have been that he was going to scan it himself to find out definitively, but i beat him to the punch. Dustin not only fixed my issue, he even informed me of other things that needed to be buttoned up and he went out of his way to take care of them as well. Like tightening up some loose bolts and air intake hose. He let me know I needed a 10mm bolt. (He knew the exact size, impressive and informative. More brownie points ) As he wrote out my receipt, he handed me a few business cards. (I was going to ask for at least one anyway.) I guess he beat me to the punch with that. I would not ever hesitate to recommend Davidson Towing and Roadside Services to anyone. Dustin's quality of work exceeds all of my expectations. He achieves the highest performance levels when it comes to making sure the task at hand is completed above expectations. He also has an amazing ability to clearly explain options and solutions effectively and efficiently. Dustin is competitive with his prices and is highly knowledgeable. I will use this company forever more if or when I have car issues. This review is long overdue since I have been studying for the SC Bar Exam and I couldn't afford to put energy into anything else until I passed it. As I read some of these reviews on her I am equal parts disgusted, and not surprised. I got his number from a friend of a friend. My friend told me Dustin has a towing service but is also a mechanic. Dustin told me all I needed was a head gasket replacement and that if I just let him out a new one in I could get "another 200,000 miles out of the car". A few days after he returned the car to me I was leaving for school and the car wouldn't start. The next 2 weeks I tried to get a hold of Dustin by phone, text and email, but he ignored every attempt I made to speak with him. Not long after that I ended up selling the car for parts, but before I did I had my best friends brother, who is actually a certified mechanic to take a look at the engine. He showed me where the head gasket is (I know nothing about cars), he then showed me the head gasket cover and then proceeded to take a screwdriver and showed me the rusty nails and how just running the metal part of the screwdriver over the rusted nails revealed that the head gasket HAD NOT BEEN REPLACED AT ALL, THE ORIGINAL WAS STILL INSTALLED IN MY CAR. I will be making use of my new law degree and suing Dustin in small claims court for the $1100 he charged me for work he never did. Avoid this con artist at all costs read more

I'm from Georgia, but was here on vacation visiting family when my car broke down on me. I wish I would've asked someone in my family for a recommendation, or at least checked out the bad reviews on this guy. He arrived almost 3 hours after he said he would and then proceeded to scrape the heck out of the under carriage of my vehicle. I'm sure it didn't help that while he was loading my car onto his truck he was completely distracted by the argument he was having with someone on the other end of the phone. When I expressed my concern he couldn't have been any ruder...threw his hands up in the air and walked off cursing. I normally am not the type to complain, or engage in social media, but when I was reviewing my bank statement last night I see he over charged me by $55. So he was late, damaged my car, cussed me out for no reason, and ripped me off. Some months ago, my car was working perfectly fine Saturday & then Sunday morning it wouldn't start, & to my horror the check engine light was on. I ended up ubering to work & catching a ride back but the whole day i was agonizing because i thought it was over for my car. I spent my shift & some hours after i got home looking up ways to get my car looked at but no auto shops were open on a Sunday. Then I looked up mobile mechanics & came across this yelp page for Davidson's Towing & I'm so glad I did. He ended up coming out & it turned out to be an error code that was able to be fixed with his car scanner; l was back driving within minutes & i never felt so relieved. All for one small fee that was well worth it for peace of mind & quality service! (He even fixed my bumper that was poking out a little for no charge once he noticed that too.) Dustin came out close to midnight Sunday evening to help my mother who was stranded on the side of the road. He went out of his way and took her Tesla to two different charging stations because there were issues with the first charging station. It was originally planned perhaps less than an hour's worth of Dustin's time of towing the Tesla to a charging station turned into five hours because we encountered several Tesla complications. Dustin helped troubleshoot through all the issues in order to make sure my mother's car was safe and drivable. Words can't describe how grateful we are for everything Dustin did tonight. He could've got his money and left the car like that but he didn't he made sure it was safe to drive !!he made sure it wasn't dragging he fixed it for us!! My vehicle died on my way into work and I spent 3 hours waiting in the heat for a different tow company to arrive, when I called for an update I was told to wait an additional 90 minutes, or leave my keys in my car and leave my vehicle unattended! I quickly cancelled that tow and called Davidson's Towing. Dustin arrived within 20 minutes, diagnosed the issue on site and had it fixed and running by the end of the day! Dustin, the owner, is amazing! It was a hot holiday weekend and my RV wouldn't start. The only tow truck big enough to pull my RV wanted $900! But Dustin came to the rescue.
